The fit is horrible. The shoe does not need laces. There is a black lining on the inside that is essentially a water shoe. And, like a water shoe, you have to squeeze/wiggle your foot into the black lining. The outer shell and laces are decoration. Horrible design. I am very unsatisfied with my purchase and I will be returning.

It is nearly impossible to get your foot through the hole which is way too tight. Once in even with an X/W the fit is too tight. They say the shoes are comfortable, but that is not true. You can get far more comfortable shoes with a better fit for much less money. In future I will be more circumspect about what I order from J&M>

A beautiful shoe however the wide width was not wide enough for my foot. Sadly!

I have worn these shoes only 3 times and they are starting to separate near the toe. I'm not too encouraged that they will last long at this rate.

I purchased 3 pairs of shoes 10 years ago and they were the most comfortable shoes I ever purchased. I tried 2 pair of shoes recently and no comparison they're not being made the same quality it's a shame

EEE is rarely the same as XW, which is the case with this pair of shoes. They are not 10 1/2, EEE.

Shoes look and feel great but the sole is too hard leading to slipping on wet or smooth surfaces

white soles turn yellow after a few months of wearing. paint on rubber wears easily. At that point, they look very drab.

Travel and walk alot. Bought these at DFW Airport. Knees started hurting 2 days after buying. Went back to my Brooks and knees are fine again. Would like a refund please.

I bought a pair of these 4 months ago in a J&M store. They have only been worn maybe 6 times for relatively short time and not abused at all. The shoes still look brand new but I noticed that the sole is beginning to separate from the leather. Extremely disappointed for the money and I really loved the shoes. Probably would have been a J&M customer for a long time as these were my first ever purchase but i'm skeptical now. And of course this would happen just out of warranty

I have worn the shoes once and the inner lining is already ripped and coming apart. I have bought multiple pairs of Johnston Murphy shoes before, but these specific shoes do not live up to the brands reputation.

Shoe was too tight to enter my foot with thin socks. When entered without socks my toe was jammed against the toe of the shoe.

I was very disappointed by these shoes as a first time Johnston & Murphy customer. They're uncomfortable, they aren't waterproof, they wear very quickly (they are already separating from the soles and they're less than 4 months old) and they smell bad and make my feet smell. I would not recommend them and will not purchase another pair of J&M any style.
