Little disappointed that it wasn't more comfortable.

The shoe was very nicely made but it was too small for my husband and we have to return the shoe. His foot is a bit too wide.

I own a number of J&M shoes, so I am a loyal fan. Unfortunately, these shoes did not meet my expectations as to fit, color and construction.

Difficult to put the shoe on. Narrow fit. Should have gotten a half size bigger. Squeaks a lot on bare floor.

These shoes fit well and are comfortable for walking. The only down side is that they are clunkier looking than the catalog pictures show. This isn't a fatal flaw but it changes where and when I'll wear them.

The waterproof insert was the reason I returned these. It just creates an awkward fit and just ruins the style of the shoe. It's a shame because I love the shoe's style, color, and shape otherwise.

I'm a 9.5 so 9.5 was the right fit. However it took a lot of tries to get the right width. I should have been a medium but had to try EE and finally EEE to get the right fit. I also had to try size 10s.
I do like the feel of the shoe after wearing for almost a year. I like how it water proof in rain. The blue color looks better if you apply protection first as it seems to fade with color after being out of the box. I wish the insoles were more supportive but it leave my feet sore after walking 15000 steps a day. This shoe is not designed for long walkers but it does well as an office shoe.

I love the waterproofing. It's flawless. the fit is a little snug even with the insole removed, but I have a very wide foot. I am trying to break them in, but it's taking some time. They shed water like crazy.

Nice looking casual shoe but the fit was not good. My husband wore then 1x and got blisters around his ankle. There is a type of sock sewn in which makes it difficult to put on and take off and very high instep, which is unusual for J&M.

I bought these shoes because i was thrilled with the running shoe like feeling and comfort in a stylish look but upon final inspection of them during purchase i noticed glue on the nubuck that appeared to have been a defect from the manufacturer. Still wanting the shoes i asked for a different pair to be mailed to me hoping it was a mistake only to find another spot of glue on the nubuck of the replacement pair so ive accepted it telling me there is an issue with manufacturers quality control In comparison to other brands of the same price range, would buy again if price reflected on build quality better

Different fit to the shoe which may take some time getting used to. The shoe hugs your feet with the inner liner. But it was comfortable, Not sure how it will be in very hot weather. Make sure you try them on different floors since they squeak when walking on hardwood floors, which would be embarrassing in a office setting.

Extremely comfortable shoe. The blue nunbuck leather is nice. The white sole is off putting and makes them look more like sneakers, hence casual, than I would like. They are so comfortable that I decided to live with not being crazy about the style.

Was very disappointed when the shoes got wet for the first time....the blue bled and stained the white soles. I can not find anything that will clean it off. Otherwise they are very comfortable shoes.

Big fan of the XC4 technology in the other J&M shoes, but this one was surprisingly tight around the toe area. For the 1st time buying XC4 I have had remove the dual width insert, but I guess that's what it's for. Downside is that removes a level of cushioning which I have appreciated in my other shoes.

The shoe looks good but is very hard to get on , its more of a slip on, you need a shoehorn to get it on. I do not recommend this shoe. I have several Johnston and Murphy shoes and like all of them except this one.

Nice looking, but they were obviously a returned pair. One shoe was packed with the cardboard form and stuffing to keep its shape. The other shoe was simply tossed in the box, laces open and nothing to keep its shape. They didn't even bother to cover it with the tissue paper. And, there were obvious scuff marks. Also, I ordered a 9 EEE, but the shoe says its a 9 1/2 EEE, and it was still narrow. Very disappointed in this order - I don't buy used shoes!

I ordered 9 EEE, but received 9 1/2 EEE. Even then, the shoe was a bit narrow. Too bad because I loved the style. The worst, however, was that the shoes were obviously a returned pair. They were badly packaged; one shoe with laces tucked in, contained the cardboard form and stuffing to keep its shape. The other shoe had nothing in it to keep its shape, the laces had clearly been tied and pulled out and there were obvious scuff marks. I don't buy used shoes! But, I have to be more careful, now, because you've probably sold me used shoes before and I didn't notice.

My son and my husband both tried this shoe, and we not able to comfortably wear this shoes. There is a 'lip' in the back of the heel and rubs and scratches the back of the heel. My husband removed the insert and it felt better on the heel but then cushion comfort was gone. He wore them several hours around the house and just couldn't get them to feel comfortable. My son immediately removed them, after trying several pairs, so it wasn't just a 'one off' and said it hurt his heel. Otherwise, nice style and cushion comfort but unable to keep or comfortable wear due to the design of the heel.

J&M shoes are all I wear, currently rotate 9 pair. The color is NOT Mahogany. The color closely resembles the heal patch of leather. Very disappointed. I recommend if you are ok with the color, but my personal opinion is it's missing the richness.
