I wear a size 7.5 shoes and 8 for boots. The medium works great for me. There's enough room in the toe area and socks stay put.

When you know, you know ... put on these beautiful socks, and went for a 5 mile walk on the AT. Puddles with mud? No worries here. Feet felt great in the boots, warm and dry. Happy hike!

I purchased these socks for the first time years ago. They are my go to socks for hiking and winter sports. They do not wear out unlike other wool socks. They are warm and comfortable. Darn Tough is the only brand sock that I wear now.

Can't beat Darn Tough. I have worn through many pairs of the *other* US made wool sock brand socks, and have yet to get through one of these. My oldest pair are probably 6 years old, and get worn 1-2 a week year round. Warm enough with boots, cool enough for running and hiking in the summer.

Once I bought my first pair of Darn Tough, it's the only brand I buy. They're smooth, not scratchy, on my tender feet, and I love the cushion. If there was a heavy cushion I'd buy them for hiking.

The cushioned padding and the material makes these a pleasure to wear. I’m not really a fan of the sock’s “crazy”coloring, but that’s just my personal preference for plain, neutral socks. I like this and the other pair of Darn Toughs I just bought so much that I just ordered a few more.

Darn Tough Socks are thick wool socks that comfortably cushion your feet but expect shrinkage even if you wash in cold water and line dry. Oder a larger size than you normally would for cotton socks.
