I have had these socks for 3 years and they wash and wear well. They are warm without the bulk. I wear them to hockey games with a hiking shoes or walking boots and my feet are nice and warm.

I love this socks, they keep your feet warm and comfortable without the bulky weight. I love the denim color. They were on backorder, but worth the wait.

I have worn through Smartwools, Wigwams, Icebreaker, etc. and have been frustrated. I love wearing wool socks every day in the fall and winter, especially under my snow and other boots. Then, a few years ago while hiking in Vermont, I found Darn Tough in a local store. I was IN LOVE at first wear!! The merino wool used in these socks is MUCH softer than that used in most of the competitors (better than all that I have found so far). These socks in particular have a bit more heel and toe cushioning and make great boot or hiking socks. There is a slightly more snug band mid-foot which is an arch support. This helps to keep the sock in place and prevent foot fatigue. At first, this arch support may feel too firm and uncomfortable, but in a short amount of time, it will feel good and supportive. I always wash mine in cold water with regular detergent, and always line dry them. It's only a few minutes extra time, but these babies are gonna last me forever--or they will be replaced by Darn Tough--'cause I doubt I will be able to wear them out. They do have women's in size large on their website.

These socks are extremely well made, warm and comfortable. Love that they are made in Vermont. My husband only wears darn tough socks! Will definitely be buying more pairs!

I love these socks! So nice and cozy for the New England snowstorm weather! I have other socks, but I save these for extra cold days when Im out for my daily walk. The fit is perfect, the socks are cushioned, and my feet are never cold, which is crazy for someone in their 70s.

I'm a big fan of Darn Tough and these are some of my favorites. They are perfectly cushioned and comfortable with any type of shoe. They wear well and keep my feet warm on cold days. I do feel they run a little small. I wear a size 8 shoe and order large.

I purchased the navy pair like these. The socks are very comfortable and fit great. I ordered a size 6 and I wear a 6 - 6.5 shoe. They are great in winter boots and keep my feet warm. (They would probably make a regular shoe be too snug.) I also like the navy color. The lower rating is because they have pills all over them after several washings.

The socks are like slippers. Plenty of cushion in the sole, and the height is perfect. The fit is just right.

They are the best socks ever. The new ones are more fluffy and less structured than I remember. My other ones are firmer structure and tighter weave. Can wear for several days no problem without washing. The only socks I'll ever buy now
