Darn Tough socks are just that, they last and last. The only socks that ever got holes in them were ones my dog chewed. I first bought Darn Tough socks 2 years ago, still have those and wear them. I only wish LL Bean would carry the Lg size in women's so I wouldn't have to buy the men's since colors are limited more in the men's selection.

These hold their shape well, wick moisture very effectively and are not only comfortable, but also quite stylish. These socks are great on the trail as well as at work in the office. While they aren't exactly cheap, they do seem to be well made and worth it. I'd buy them again.

I have been looking for a pair of light, comfortable socks for a great amount of time.
In the past, I have even had to return many pairs of socks after they were not what I wanted.
However, these socks are perfect.
Light, warm and comfortable.
Seem across toe comfortable with no balled tips.
While a bit pricier, I will be ordering more.

Love these. Not cheap. Worth it. Wish there were more colors available so I could tell them apart out of the dryer.

These are great socks, my husband really likes them. They are moisture wicking and they seem to hold up pretty good. If they ever do wear out Darn Tough guarantees them and will send a new pair no questions asked, can't beat that!

I needed to replace my athletic socks with something that didn't have the heal worn out. I only wear them at night with sleep wear to keep my tootsies warm. They are soft, no itch, warm, and tough when I need to walk to the kitchen in the middle of the night to raid the fridge. Likely, no one uses these socks this way. But think of it--perhaps it is right for you too!

I bought the first pair of these socks for my husband for a Christmas present. He has never commented on any socks in the past. But these he said he really liked. So I bought more for a future present. These socks may be expensive, but they have held up through several washings. They seem to help his feet, which tend to bother him periodically.

I have been wearing Darn Tough socks every day for nearly 3 years and true to their name and guarantee I have yet to wear out a single pair. I work outdoors as a law enforcement professional often putting in long days so it is crucial that I have socks that cushion and protect my feet in all conditions. These Darn Tough socks have held up to it all. I recommend these to everyone who wants a quality sock and best of all Made in America.

Whenever I find a great deal for Darn Tough socks, I add to my collection. I am pleased with every Darn Tough sock I've purchased. Some people are allergic to wool unfortunately but I believe most people would find them worth the price and with a lifetime guarantee, that makes them of great value.

Early morning in the parking lot at Tuckerman Ravine, I woke up in my camper and figured I needed a good pair of hiking socks if I was going to make it to the top of Mount Washington and back along with my loyal canine companion. After pondering over the many brands of socks available at the store, I decided to purchase this one pair, in spite of price. By the end of that hike, my whole body ached in pain, but my feet had remained dry, as these socks breath well and provide comfortable cushioning that will make wearing the worst pair of boots feel like a foot massage.
Five years later, I own four pairs of Darn Tough Socks, and I still remember that strenuous hike as one of the best days of my life. Bottom line, try them --you won't be disappointed.

Good solid work and hiking sock. The wool content is higher than most name brand wool socks. And they have a life time guarantee. They are true to size. Best of all, you can actually put them in a dryer on low heat.

Men's Darn Tough Socks are the best socks I have ever purchased. I had purchased some of these last year. They are comfortable in the fall, winter and spring. They wear like iron. I usually have worn a whole in my socks in a year's time. These socks show no sign of wear at all. They are expensive, but in my opinion are worth the price. Which is why I just bought 2 more pair.

I love 'em. I've always worn rag-wool socks, which have been pretty good for New England winters. On my daughter's advice, I decided to try these Darn Tough socks and, so far, I'm delighted with them. True, they haven't been subjected to the sub-zero treks up the mountain that they will be, but so far, after a month of modestly cold weather, I couldn't be happier. They fit well (I'm on the border between M and L, and opted for L ... though I think M would have worked fine), they retain their stretchy character without relaxing through at least 3 washings, and I plan to buy a few more pairs as my old rag-wool socks continue to wear out.

I bought these on a whim when I bought my classic Bean boots and love the socks. I will be buying more and even some of the thicker cushion socks for hunting.

Never paid this much for a pair of sox in my life, but these sox are worth every penny. Very comfortable in ANY shoe you wear. I have tried shoe inserts, lifts & you name it I have tried it. These sox will blow you way with the comfort they offer. You will never buy a better pair of sox anywhere. If there were 10stars, that is what I would give these sox.

I've been wearing Darn Touch socks for years and can't say enough good things about them. I wear them year round, cool in summer and warm in winter and like the name they are darn tough. I own 5 pair now and I can't wear them out. Try a pair as you'll be hooked on them. Cost is cheap because they last forever..

My husband and I have been wearing Smartwool socks for years, but each bought a pair of Darn Toughs in 2013 when on an extended AT hike. While our Smartwools stretched out and held odor even after washing when we returned, the Darn Toughs retained their shape and held much less odor, even while on the trail. We're still wearing those socks and have purchased several more pairs for our 1400 mile hike this year.

I am a section hiker on the Appalachian Trail, and tend to chat with the trough hikers every chance I get about quality gear. The one sock I heard recommended over and over was Darn Tough socks, so I had to try some myself.
I ordered two pairs, and hiked 150 miles in them, alternating every day. No blisters, no visible wear on the socks, and very little odor after 10+ hours in my impermeable boots. I was so impressed I proceeded to replace all of my work socks with these, I now have 5 pair and wear them every day to work, whether it is the office or the jobsite. My feet have never been happier! I have rotated through these for 8 months, including several long-distance hikes, and only a few of the socks are slightly stretched out above the ankle. Every where else they are as good as new.
To the one reviewer who claims these are overpriced and wearing quickly, I'm not exactly sure what you are doing wrong, but I would guess your footwear is ill-fitting, which could cause any wool sock to pill. These shouldn't wear early, in fact I know several through hikers who started with only two or three pairs of these, and made it over 1000 miles before any of them wore through.
If somehow you do manage to wear these out, both Darn Tough and Bean have amazing customer support. One call to Darn Tough, even if you are on the trail, and they will route you to the nearest retailer for a no-questions-asked replacement. If you aren't on the trail and can afford to wait, Bean will ship you a replacement in a hurry as well.
Bottom line? Buy these socks now, they are the last set you'll ever need.

As a person who loves socks and has bought about every brand there is, these socks are at the top of my list. They are what they say- darn tough. I have previously bought a pair and they do wear very well. These particular ones are thicker and feel great with my hiking boots. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

I have only had these socks a couple of weeks but they have quickly become my favorite socks. My feet are often sore so having good, supporting socks is very important. These socks are soft, warm, and have just the right amount of stretch to keep them from sliding down the ankle or balling up around the toes. I haven't had them long enough to truly see if I wear them out or not, but I figured with a lifetime warranty, I couldn't go wrong. If you go through socks quickly, and demand comfort and quality, I believe these socks are the answer.
