Nice sock, but I had to give to my wife. I have high arches (and 4E wide too) and these socks are too tight at the ankle/foot connection, so tight I was afraid of having circulation cut off. So if you have a high arch, get the Bean Boot sock. It fits great.

I bought these because I really like the lightweight version. These are just OK, they tend a bunch up under my foot causing me to constantly straighten them out.

Although I ordered the larger size, they are too small. And I have other pairs of darn Tough socks to compare them with.

The socks are well made, but the size Large is too small for someone with size 11 feet. Even before wearing and washing, the first time I put them on they were barely long enough to get on, and they were too tight in the front of my ankle. Plus, there is too much bulky material around the toes. After the first wash in cold water, I cannot wear them at all.

I have to say right up front, part of this may be my fault. The material of these socks are excellent. The only problem that I have is that they are on the short side and I have to keep pulling them up. The part of this that may be my fault is that they are considered hiking socks which I am beginning to think are cut shorter. I need to get boot socks. These are pricey socks even with a discount. I will have to consider whether the excellent material justifies the price.

My husband says the following about these socks. I like the socks but wish they were a little longer. They don't go up high enough for me on my calf. I feel like I need to pull them up all the time which is a little bothersome.

Unfortunately these are too small and I have to choose another style since they do not come in an XL size. He doesn't wear

Liked the feel of the material, but they were strangely small and narrow. Very hard to put on, kind of a struggle. I am at the low end of the size range, so there is something very wrong with these. Gave up on them.

As with so many retailed items - quality just gets cheaper with time. I've loved these DarnToughs for years - but these new orders are so short - barely above the ankle. Not at all like years before ... :-(

They have a lot of extra cushion in the foot section which is good but that makes them tight through the foot too. Not comfortable at all to me.

Too thin to provide much cushion, and so small they are unconfortable. I'm returning them.

Nice feeling socks and probably long lasting, but I never wear them because they are too short. They only just barely go above the ankles after just one washing. They were short before washing them, but got worse. Too bad, a nice sock.

The blurb sounds good - made here in the USA etc. merino wool - which is why I bought two pairs. But they are wildly overpriced - and after one wearing, the wool started to ball up.

This pair of socks was delivered to me without any of the typical Darn Tough packaging and it was in a ziplock plastic bag that was inscribed with Meijer, which is a grocery store chain in the Midwest. Although they did not appear to be used, there is no way I’m putting these on my feet. Unbelievable!!!!

I'm interested in these socks, and was hoping to see pics of them being worn. Nope, just one stock pic. I'll B. I'll look elsewhere.

I have bought these for my children and grandchildren for the the last 5 years as Christmas presents and they just love them and look forward each year to get them .

So with socks the fit is always an issue for me. I wear a Size 15D. These socks do fit nicely and did not shrink after the first wash. So if you are a 15D or smaller I recommend these socks. That being said if you have a bigger or wider foot they will be tight across the bridge of the foot where it meets the ankle. I have found this is the typical location that tends to be too small if the socks do not fit. These socks are snug in that area but they do fit.

Not tall enough

Way too small. Opened them up. Tried to try them on. Wasn't happening. Went right into the donation pile.

Way too small and tight. Disappointing.

Micro crew is a silly marketing description for too short. If your ankles overheat, these are the socks for you. Cut on the small side and will not reach any boot height.

These socks were not in the box with the others in this order (?). Since they are the same brand and size, I am certain that they will not fit either. For this reason I am submitting a request for a refund on both pair and will return the others if I ever receive them.

I wanted to like this sock because I love LLBean stuff but these run way too small for a large so I never was able to use them. I gave them to my wife because they fit her but no opinion from her yet.
