Felt compelled to write a review after reading all the negatives reviews. I bought these in Jan 2020 and can honestly say they are a very comfortable wear. I did go up half a size to 5.5 as felt the 5 was a little snug. I normally walk an average of 5 miles every morning but this escalated to about 8-10 miles a day in last summer's lockdown. They were road tested further in the Scottish Highlands once lockdown was lifted, when muddy I found them easy to clean and have retained their waterproofing.The shoes are still standing me in good stead and I like the neat lacing system. Good cushioned interior sole, would recommend. Just about to buy a Salomon boot on the strength of how good these shoes are. Husband has bought the same shoe on my recommendation and is equally satisfied.

bought these a month ago and they are fantastic. You can adjust the width with the laces and as I have quite narrow feet they fit me perfectly. Size seems perfect too. They are very comfortable especially over rocky ground and also on the flat

I went into the retail outlet in Park Royal knowing I wanted waterproof light hiking shoes, and the salesperson was so knowledgeable and helpful (and respectful of social distancing). He helped guide me on size and style. And in the end because stock was low provided me instructions on how to order online. I've already put several hundred Km on them and they are waterproof, mud proof and definitely help with traction on rocky terrain.

They fit me well, provide comfortable support, waterproof, good traction. The lacing system is improved over the previous model, which I wore out. It's now a lot easier to fit the lacing tab into the intended tongue pocket.

These are great all round walking trainers. I wear them every day to walk the dog and they are so comfortable. The easy fasten lacing system makes them quick to put on and take off.

I bought these about a month ago, my second pair as they are the most comfortable walking shoes I have ever owned !

Ordered my usual size 7 and did have to return them for a 7.5 but they fit really well even on my wide feet and they keep the water out well. Love them.

I owned my last pair of these shoes for 6 years before replacing them and I am a very avid hiker. I suspect in that time they stretched out a lot. The new pair are certainly snug, but likely they feel this way because the last pair were fairly stretched, like an old sweater. Bought the same size and they are great. Super comfortable, fairly lightweight and they look great. I love the lacing system and the fact that they are waterproof. I highly recommend this shoe. Well worth the investment.

I bought the high top version of these boots a few years back for longer backpacking trips and was not only blown away by how light and functional they were, but also by how little time it took to wear them in (virtually no time at all). I think I took one short hike in them with no backpack before a big trip and didn't feel any hot spots forming; fast forward to the first trip and no problems there either. I know that everyone's feet are different, but Salomon makes the best boots for mine. I decided to invest in the low top version for shorter day hikes this season and it was the same story - I wore them for a few short walks before taking them to the mountains; no blisters or hot spots and my feet were dry despite the soggy trails. They also provide tremendous support, despite not having the extra height to support the ankle. These boots are worth every penny and I will be buying them again when I wear down the pairs I currently have.
