J'ai achet ce produit pour remplacer une vieille paire de Salomon dont j'tais trs satisfaite. Malheureusement, ds la premire randonne j'ai eu des douleurs au talon et un cloque. Aprs une randonne de 900D+, j'ai d mettre deux pansements en cours de route sur mes talons, ce qui n'a pas empch la formation d'ampoules malgr tout. En plus, le ct de la chaussure appuie sur mes malloles externes, ce qui est particulirement gnant en descente. Si je devais recommander ce produit, je demanderais fortement la personne si sa peau est fragile ou non, car la rigidit du talon est telle qu'elle peut tre dsagrable porter.

I've been wearing this model of shoe for 10 years. I usually buy a new pair every 3-4 years. Unfortunately, I went through the latest pair in less than 9 months. The soles feel packed out and they don't dry out well from rain or sweat. Now they are so stinky I can't wear them. I was going to buy a new pair but after reading reviews from other people who experienced them same problems. It's time to find a new go-to hiking shoe.

Like many others here, I have worn these shoes for many years, purchasing a new pair every year or so. I cannot wear the current version and hope that the previous quality and fit can be regained. Please, please, please!!!

this is probably my 8th pair of these. But my last. Poor fit, poorly sewn. The back top around heel gapes and foot slides up and down. The pair before this-- a year ago--- were not properly water-resistant as earlier pairs. I see these are now made in India. Will be finding another brand.

So disappointed that they changed the fit of this shoe. Been wearing them for years, they were my favorite! But now I have to find something else

Over the past decade, I have owned three identical pairs of the original Salomon Ultra GTX shoes (#145464, made in Vietnam) and found them to be the most comfortable long-distancing walking shoes I ever wore. Unfortunately, the Ultra 3 model (#171383, made in India) is completely different from the original Ultras. The shoe is narrower overall (pinches and does not easily accommodate even medium-weight wool hiking socks), the toe box is not as high (presses on tops of toes), the arch support is lower, the tongue is smaller and less flexible, the upper eyelet is designed so the lace runs on the inside of the shoe against the foot rather than on the exterior away from the foot, the lace lock slides open too easily, and the shoe is extremely stiff. It is hard to believe that it is even the same brand. I will return them, and am sad and disappointed that my trusty old Salomons are no more. I hope the company will listen to and heed the many people who have reported the same issues that I have. Please just bring back the old model (#145464) asap, and I will buy enough pairs to last me until I die.

Very disappointed - I have had 2 pairs of x ultra 3, ordered another pair, had to return, they are narrower fit, tried 4 & 4 1/2, I do not have wide feet, but couldnt take the risk of them not stretching. Shame, I love the style of the x ultra 3. It was suggested Odessey but don't like the style. Such a shame you have lost this Salomon customer.

Ordered same size as previous two pairs, which have been excellent walking shoes, but sadly they are a much narrower fit, obviously a change in manufacture, very disappointed and the wide fit out of stock.

Have worn the same style (3 pairs) for a few years now but this new pair is much stiffer and does not fit as well. Noticed that factory has changed from Cambodia to India so something didn't translate well. Have no choice but to return and look for a new favourite.

I've been buying the x ultra 3 for a number of years now..I'm a Postie and need a pair every 4 months..These shoes were great but not anymore. I have terrible outer edge heel pain in one foot..The cushioning is definitely not the same. I emailed them and they offered me 20% off,I won't be buying anymore as they are not suitable for me anymore.

This was my third purchase over several years. I've always used these trainer shoes and use them regularly for walking high into the Lake District mountains. However, I'm so disappointed to return these. So uncomfortable - very tight - sizing not comparable. Hard and wouldn't even risk a short stroll in them. Much dearer than previous purchases too. Sad to say will have to look for other trekking makes going forward.

I bought a pair of these last week to replace a much loved pair that I've hiked extensively in, but I have had to return them as they feel like a totally different shoe. They are far too narrow for my foot (I can barely tighten the laces up), and my toes are pushing against the seam; This is despite them being a half size larger than my old pair. Not sure what's happened to Salomon's sizing/manufacturing, but these are not the same shoe.

After having owned a number of pairs of these shoes and been delighted with them, I have to report that my shoes are now unwearable and I have been left with a very painful heel, ankles and leg. Not only is the shoe stiffer, the heel beds appear to have a small ridge inside which is a join. The shoes became increasingly more painful to wear. I returned it to the retailer who found no fault with the shoe. He gave me a 3 mm insole to lift my foot up from the joint which initially felt more comfortable. I went for a test walk. They were more uncomfortable as the shoe now felt tighter and eventually the ridge did impinge on my already sore heel. Because I end up walking awkwardly, my left ankle and leg became painful. So disappointed. My argument is that although the shoe had been made correctly, the design has a fault.

j'achete regulierement des chaussures de randonne salomon mais ce modele est tres fragile, le tissu s'est dechir a plusieurs endroits au dessus de la chaussure donc ne sont plus impermeables je n'acheterai plus ce modele

Avevo gi avuto un altro paio di questo modello, e le ho ricomprate volentieri, ho preso una 38 2/3 invece che la mia taglia 38; all'arrivo puntualissime, le ho provate ma sebbene di lunghezza fossero pi che giuste mi erano molto strette intorno alla parte anteriore del piede.Ho dovuto restituirle.

My husband kindly purchased a new pair of these shoes for my birthday. I've had my previous pair for a couple of years and they are the most comfortable pair of shoes I've ever owned. I have quite wide feet and so finding comfortable shoes is pretty much impossible until I discovered these! Sadly the new version is completely different, extremely tight fitting at the front and top of the shoe. I have tried sizing up (difficult for me as I actually already sized up from 5-6 previously) but their still way too tight. I couldn't even walk around the living room let alone try them on a hike. So disappointed they have been changed so much, I'm back to the drawing board!
