Wore them around the house for 2 different days: 1) first day WITH slip-in support arches that came WITH the original shoes; arch support was just "okay"; 2) second day I tried them with MY OWN slip in arches; the originals came right out (no glue; no issues! GREAT) and the shoes felt even better! However, these shoes do in fact look a big bulky but considering they're the only white canvas shoes so fair that don't hurt (I've returned at least 4 pairs to Zappos), I'm very satisfied.

I wear an 11 wide, and was excited to see these available in wide width. Unfortunately not only was it not wide enough, but it was also too small. Too bad, it seemed like these would have been comfortable if they fit.

Pros: Nice insole, high arch, may be too high for some, cushion is great Cons: The fabric on the top of the right shoe was "crinkled", looked cheap, did not look like $89 shoes. The style made my feet look very elongated, the toe area was low, and my big toes protested. Still searching for that perfect canvas shoe for summer. The Taos Plim Soul style didn't work for me, nor the Keens Elsa II (but way more toe room with the Keens...just too stiff).

Love the idea of these shoes. Love the look. Love the arch support. I have a narrow heel and these fit wonderfully from that aspect. However, the narrowness continued through the toe box and by the end of the day my big toes were pretty ticked off. I will continue to purchase Taos because they are fantastic shoes - these ones just didn't work for my feets.

Hard, hard, hard. There is padding, but this shoe is hard - reminds me of Vans. Like the style, can't wear this. I really wanted to like it, but...........

Hmmm... I have "challenging feet" (narrow heels, bone spurs, all the good stuff) and I really wanted to like these. The arch support was really good, but the shoe didn't feel like it had much padding at all in the ball of the foot area. They also were oddly narrow on my normally narrow-ish foot, and seemed very "shallow." The heel of the shoe didn't come up high enough to be comfortable. Bummed to send them back, but the quest for the perfect sneak continues.

Cute shoes but narrow and hard. I couldn't tell if I liked the arch support or not the shoe was too hard. I wanted to love them, but I didn't. I'm returning them and buying another pair of Rockports

I'm a solid 8 and had to go up a full size to a 9. Not sure if it was the larger size but the heel seems wide and slipped. As with other Taos "sneaker" type shoes, they have excellent arch support but no cushion whatsoever. I ultimately returned and am still looking.

A nice looking shoe but a little dated. Constructed very well.

Was much too small.

I measure a size 7.5 and always buy an 8 in sneakers. This size 8 fit perfectly. However, it definitely is narrow, and I always wear a medium width. Also, even though the arch support is excellent, the sole is very flat.

I bought this shoes a year in advance of two overseas vacations and I’ve worn them at every opportunity in order to “break them in”. It’s not going to happen. They are the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever owned. The high arch is almost too high for my flat feet so plenty of support there. They are very stiff and unyielding and even though they’ve always been worn with socks my mind is constantly on my feet — not how I want to spend my vacations! I’ve worn them too much to return so I’ve ordered a different brand. Hopefully they’ll work!

These sneakers are cute and they're great if you don't have much walking to do. There's really no arch support.

Length & width were fine but the toe box was not tall enough. It really kills my big toe.

Way to small

These are cute shoes wit all arch support provided by the insole. The base of the shoe is thin and hatd and will not last long. I am returning them.

The fit was too small. Should have order half size larger than normal size. The sole is HARD and very uncomfortable for that reason will be returning. The shoe is attractive, but too uncomfortable.

Please attention to the reviews about these shoes. They are super cute on big feet like mine (I wear a size 11) but they were very short in the length. I would not consider these true to size at all. Im sure if you have smaller feet and can size up then these would be fantastic to wear. Sadly, I am not one of those people.

I can’t believe the high price of these sneakers that are NOT flexible at all, a poorly padded and just fabric, I thought this brand was a good one, big dissapoint, returning. And, left shoe the stitches are defective and visible, size 6 W.

I usually love Taos footwear. Unfortunately, I cannot wear these shoes because they make my small toe bloody. I think it is the seam that is aggravating my small toe. I have only wore them a few times (keep hoping the issue will subside). I wish I could return them.

I have very high arches so the arch support was good but these shoes just flat out hurt my feet every time I tried to wear them and they gave me horrible heal blisters all three times I tried to wear them. I just thought they needed to be broke in but not the case. Very disappointing for a basic shoe at this cost and the style is so cute. Just no comfort in these for me at all.

When I received these shoes they had scuff marks on the white band at the bottom of the shoes. They were not stuffed with the usual paper nor in the Taos box. The shoes were not processed to look unused. Laces askew also. Doesn’t Zappos do a once over for returned shoes before sending them out again. Overall I love Zappos but very unhappy with this order.

This is a note for the Taos people. I LOVE your sandals. So comfortable. Your sneakers are a fail. Where did they fail? O let me count the ways! 1) They are too small. I usually can wear an 8-8.5. The 8.5 is too short and narrow. 2) I usually wear a regular width. All the sizes were too narrow...even the wide! But readers, these my work for you. I have a bunion on one foot and all the stitching and layers of this shoe came together right on top of it. 3) Too stiff for a comfort shoe. 4) Weird bump above the arch area to the outside of the shoe. Not comfortable. Re. style, yes, I like them. As pictured.
