Might be sending back. For the price and the rave reviews, I am really disappointed that these are not comfortable right out of the box. They are stiff and the support is just okay.... I love the look and am hoping after wearing them around the house they will soften up. I have a high arch and my feet hurt after a couple hours, if I don't have good support. I am trying them with little no-show socks to see if it helps. Looking for a good shoe for a Europe trip. True to size; went up a half size and had to return for my normal 7.5.

These shoes are really cute and exactly the look I was wanting. I love the distressed sage color. It is a good neutral without being boring and goes great with jeans. I am usually anywhere from a size 10 -11, and I ordered these in a 10.5. They are good with a thin sock. I did consider trying an 11 for comparison, but never did. I think they loosen up slightly with wear. I want to get these in the mauve color, but I can't find them on Zappos.

These were so comfortable right out of the box. No break in time. I have a pair of Taos Star sneakers (size 9 1/2) which took some time to break in and have less room in the toe box. So, my toes were a bit squished in the Star sneakers. These sneakers have very generous space in the toe box. Plenty of space to wiggle the toes.

My teenagers thought these were the coolest and I oh-so wanted to be hip. I ordered and usually wear a 7W, but my "fred flinstone" BIG toe is a bit too cramped, so sadly I must return. I won't order up because I am thinking the heal may lift out. The arch support is not as strong as a ryke, but the cool factor overwhelms.

I ordered half size up based on reviews but felt there was a little too much room at the toe and the heel slips a bit. The foot bed and arch support are great. The charcoal color is exactly as pictured. I’m going to try an 8 1/2 instead of the 9 in hopes it will be a better fit for me. Overall this shoe is comfortable and cute.

i am an 8.5/9 in all shoes.... this size 9 shoe fits snugly - but is a comfortable fit. for the price i thought i would be walking on a cloud... but i am not... but they are comfy. could wear them all day and feel fine

I originally ordered a 10.5 w because my normal size is 10 w and I read the reccommendstion to order a half size larger. Well, I did not need to size up, the 10.5 w was too big. My left foot is slightly bigger than a 9.5 w and my right foot is an 8.5 w so I usually have to wear 10 w's to accommodate my left foot being slightly larger than a 9.5 w. I think the reason why I didn't need to size up is because my left foot is actually smaller than a 10. The 10.5 had an inch of extra length on my left foot and 2 inches extra length on right foot. The 10 fit so much better. They are so cute and they are comfortable. I love the arch support and the cupped heel. The insert is pretty thin at the toes like some other reviewers said, so I hope they will be comfortable at the bottom of my toes once Ive done a lot of walking. So far Ive walked on the carpet in my house and on the treadmill for about 5 minutes in the size 10s and they felt great. I was so relieved they were wide enough for my feet. I've had problems with Saucony, New Balance, etc making their toe boxes more narrow than they used to, making even a "wide" uncomfortable on my feet. I did not have that problem with Taos. The insert in these shoes is removable so I can even replace it with my custom made orthotics, they were comfortable that way too. These are so cute and actually fit my feet. I usually have to get ugly shoes for shoes to fit my feet so I am happy with these because they are not ugly. The left side of the right shoe near the heel area was slightly wider than the left shoe on both pairs, but not so bad to make it worth returning. I did not have problems with them slipping at the heels like some reviewers have. I'm thinking those people probably have narrow heels/back of ankles My one gripe with Zappos is that I purposely chose 2 day free shipping when I ordered the second pair, because I knew I had a Dr appointment the next day, so I did not choose the 1 day free shipping, so as to not chance not being home when they arrived. Well, Zappos sent them 1 day air, and so of course they arrived during the 1.5 hour period I wasn't home. Porch theives are rampant where I live so I was pretty mad they sent it 1 day when I purposely chose 2 day. UPS does not even ring my doorbell, nor do they put the box out of sight, so it's extremly important to be home when it arrives. I'm shipping back the 10.5 w pair tomorrow and I'll be waiting for my refund for that pair. It says it takes about a week to get a refund.

Having a size 11.5 foot and being flat footed makes finding a cute pair of shoes that fit a very difficult task. The Taos brand was recommended to me by my physical therapist so when I found the Moc Star, I was super excited. A cute style WITH arch support that fit my giant feet is a dream come true. Unfortunately, it was a little too good to be true. When I tried them on, I noticed the tips of the shoes curved upward. I felt a little like an elf so needless to say these went back. Such a bummer...

I usually wear a 6.5 so I ordered a 7. My toe was at the very end of the shoe on my right foot. Since I'm buying these to walk around Paris, I am returning. I need a full size bigger. The arch support is good, and I like the style.

love these shoes, but I don't like how they look on my size 5 foot. Kind of heavy.

Way-wide shoe, especially in the heel. Cute, but I was swimming in them.

These were very comfy except they keep slipping off my heel no matter how tight a tied the laces which was annoying. Sending them back.

Too firm in foot bed, This had excellent arch support but were not at all soft/cushioned in the foot bed. There is a way to have arch support and still have some squish/softness under your feet. This had none. I tried three different TAOS shoes and they all were the same, I cannot wear this brand apparently.

Taos site has some of the colors in wide. I may try ordering there. I ordered a half size up, which seemed long and was still narrow across the toe box. Very cute shoe with a reasonable arch support. Hate that it did not fit

I normally wear an 8 or 8 1/2 (eu 39). Due to reviews, ordered an 8 1/2. My toe touched the end of the shoe, but I think the next size up would have been too large overall. The insole/arch support was too much for me, or maybe just not made for my foot and was uncomfortable. Without it, the shoe felt too roomy and bottom of shoe too hard plus my ankle bone rubbed the shoe once my foot was fitting deeper into it. The canvas was very stiff. Overall, the shoe has a wide external appearance over the instep to make room for the large insole, so it's bulkier looking than I thought it would be. Sorry to have to send it back. I can see it's great for a lot of people, but not for me.

I originally ordered a half size up and was surprised at how tiny these still were. I prefer to wear socks so I returned them for a full size up from what I normally wear and they are still too small for socks. I guess I’ll wear them this summer without socks and see how it goes. It was rather disappointing.

I wore the red version of these out; they were so comfortable! But since they’re not available in true red anymore, I tried these. They were way stiffer than I remember the red canvas to be and the blah color accentuated just how boxy the shoe is. I decided to send them back.

I loved the look of this shoe in charcoal gray when it arrived and the quality was great. Unfortunately it was too small and tight in the toe box. I will have return. I am technically about 10.5 which is a hard size to find so I always order a size 11. I will have to go up at least a half size for these to fit. I liked them so much I think I will reorder the correct size. Since I didn't wear them around I can't speak to overall comfort in walking.

I ordered a half size larger based on reviews and these fit perfectly. They fit my wide feet well with plenty it room in the toe box. The material is very soft. The arch is surprising good. I have flat feet and was able to wear these all day without my orthotics without any pain.

I've been looking for a casual sneaker for some time, but most versions of this kind of shoe are too narrow for me. I warily gave this one a try, ordering half a size up based on the reviews, and though I was skeptical when I took them out of the box I was delighted to find they actually fit perfectly! They are wide enough in the toe box despite an overall slim profile that (bonus) makes my feet look smaller. I re-laced them (with the contrast laces included) in a bar pattern that gives more room in the instep, and that nicely accommodates the cushy arch support insole. That insole is my only quibble, because I already tend to walk on the outer side of my feet and the insoles push me further in that direction. But I think for most people it's the opposite so it's probably a plus. Overall I'm finding them very comfortable and will probably buy another color.

Tad but too big but love them

I really wanted these shoes to work. Unfortunately, the toe box felt too narrow as it rounded the outer edge. Also, the depth of the toe area was too narrow—the top of my toe area constantly touched the inside top of the shoe. :(. The best part of the shoe besides the stylish appearance is the excellent arch support! Now, if only the overall fit was better it would be great. They have been returned.
