I purchased these shoes as approach shoes for rock climbing. They're perfect for hiking to the crag and between climbs. Problem is, they're so comfortable, that I now wear them as an everyday shoe. I already have hiking boots and trail running shoes from Salomon so these are just another home run. My only complaint is availability of certain sizes and models.

This is my third pair of x ultra amazing shoe. Great fit and last long.

This is probably my fourth or fifth pair of Solomon shoes love them they're always comfortable out of the box and perform awesome. Have a average size 10 foot and Solomon running shoes trail shoes hiking boots have all been awesome for me will buy nothing else!

I bought the X Ultra 3 shoes as I am an avid hiker and was having foot issues in other brand shoes on steep descents. The X Ultra 3's solved that problem. Great traction, comfort, and lightweight. My feet are feeling great after a long hike!

Exaictly what I wanted, I hike a lot and this a shoe that helps me do that.

Changed my hiking experience for the better. Comfortable, sturdy and waterproof in our watershed hiking terrain.

Straight out of the i box have so far done six 5 mile plus walks over dry woodland and rocky moorland trails and found the shoes to be very comfortable, lightweight, but secure and sturdy underfoot. Lace system excellent. These shoes have replaced my Salomon approach shoes which have lasted me over 8 years. Bought size 9 and are good fit.Normal shoe size is 8.

Had them for about a year and they are just as comfortable as when I bought them. Time to buy a second pair.

One year on these shoes as my daily go-to. Minimal wear. Fit true to size.

I bought these shoes for walking and moderate hiking. It happens to be winter now and I have found the tread has very good traction. The waterproof feature makes them an all season shoe. I find there is excellent support in the ankle area so I expect them to work well for hiking this spring. My foot size in women's shoes is about 10 to 10.5. I bought the men's size 8.5 and have found these fit me well. Not too wide (my foot is a normal width and slightly narrow in the heel)

I absolutely love this shoe. I've hiked 14 peaks in 4 months with it, worn it everyday, biked and used it all around. I've pretty much destroyed them in the mountains here in Spain ( Monte Perdido, Posets, Cotiella, Cerler, Sierra de Guara...) but this shoe is great. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the quicklace, makes everything easier, i don t know why people complain about that, it is so much easier with the quicklace. I have the X Ultra mid in GTX but that one has normal laces and i ve come to hate those laces after using the quicklace. The only complaint i have is that after so much use that i ve put on them i m of the opinion that they deteriorated too quickly. Other than that, ASTOUNDING hiking shoe. ( i also trail run in it a little bit ). PLEASE Salomon recommend me a shoe so i can run on pavement and on the trails, as well. Thank you ! LOVE THE X 3 ULTRA.
