These are beautiful, well-made shoes but I had to return them. The website advises purchasing a half size smaller because they run large, however, I ordered my regular size based upon customer reviews. I was disappointed to learn they rubbed on the top of both feet at the base of my toes. Next I ordered another pair but went up a size and walked right out of them. Both pair had to be returned.

I was surprised to learn they rubbed on the top of both feet close to my big toes, which was quite painful. The next day I purchased a half size larger, hoping they would be a good fit but they were so large I walked right out of them. Tonight I am returning both pair.

If you walk or stand a lot, these shoes will not support you. I've become accustomed to the support and cushioning of Clarks; these don't compare at all.

I've been looking for ballet flats that fit my wide toes/narrow heels/high arches. This one *almost* works for me, but unfortunately it hits at just the wrong place on my big toe. Close, but no cigar. I'm disappointed, because they're cuter on than they look in the photo.

These fit me differently from the red ones I ordered and love. They cut into my skin above the big toe. Sending them back :(

WAY too wide. I normally wear medium width, but I would have to try these in a narrow if that option were available.

I was so excited to get these flats, but they are huge in my standard size, mostly in width. I can't even keep them on my feet. If you have wide feet (but not a particularly wide toe area), these would probably be good and quite comfortable.

I wear an 8.5-9 in all shoes. I ordered a 9 in this style, and it was way too small. I returned them for a 9.5, and they are still too small. Weird that it says that these run large and that you should order a half-size down. I would have had to amputate my toes to get my feet into an 8.5! Disappointing!

I originally bought a size 9 (my recommended size), and they were so small that my toes hit the front of the shoes. I exchanged them for a 9.5, but they are still way too small. Possibly the narrow design makes them feel smaller than they are, but the second pair is going back, too. Disappointed!

Based on the reviews, I must have received a miss-sized shoe. Ordered a size 9.5, would definitely need a 10. According to Zappos, this style runs large and order a half size down. If i'd done that I wouldn't have been able to get them on.

Way too small but otherwise very cute. I even tried ordering a larger size and they were still too small. I normally love Born shoes but was disappointed in these.

Bought these thinking they would be cute yet comfortable to walk around in...wrong! I’ve worn them 3 separate occasions and got blisters on my heels each time. Considering how much they were, very disappointed with this purchase.

These shoes gave me the worst heel blisters I have EVER gotten after just an hour of wearing them. Beware...I expect better from a quality leather shoe

This is a nice looking casual shoe but it runs long and wide. I’m usually 8-8:5 narrow. 7.5N was huge on my foot. It’s a very hard shoe for a Born. I didn’t keep them because of the fit, but didn’t seem like they would be very comfortable to wear all day; and that’s what I think you should be able to do with a Born shoe.

The shoes are cute, and they do seem to be made of a high quality leather. Unfortunately, the sizing isn't at all consistent. I usually wear a 9.5 but bought a 9 based on the Zappos recommendation to size down. The 9 seemed a bit too short, so I set it aside and ordered a 9.5. Surprisingly, the 9.5 was even smaller! It was tighter around the top and shorter--I even held the 9 up against the 9.5, and the 9 was a tiny bit longer! Obviously the brand doesn't have any quality control. I didn't order a 10 because who knows what would arrive? I was really hoping these would be good for jeans and skirts, but the crazy sizing turned me off to the brand entirely.

The Born Madeleine in Sky Blue is actually gray. I ordered a 6.5, which is a little too tight. I'm returning for a size 7.

I wanted to love these shoes. I have had such luck with other Born styles (Julianne in particular). However, I could not get the right size for my feet. In Julianne, I wear an 8.5. I missed the note about ordering a size down for these so the first pair was too big. I ordered a size 8 and it was still loose on my heels so I decided to try a size 7.5 - which I could barely squeeze in to. I thought about keeping the size 8, but it was both a little loose on my heel and a little tight across my toes.

Like all born shoes, very well made. This shoe in M is verrrry wide, however.

These were pretty comfortable, but unwearable. I took one step on our wood floor and nearly bit it - there's ZERO traction on the soles. I returned these, since I would risk falling on most surfaces!

Have some Born flats that I love. These don't fit right. Toe box is small. I usually get a 10.5 in flats and since these were supposed to run big, I got the 10's and they are too small. I also thought my heel sits deeply into the back of the shoe and I'm guessing I'd have blisters if I wore them. Not a bad looking shoe although they smelled funny too.

Very cute, neutral leather flat that would go with everything. But the pair sent me was mis-matched. One shoe was new, the other very used, to the point that the shoes appear to be different colors and kinds of leather. Obviously one of the shoes was from a display box or had been worn and ended up matched to an unworn shoe. Hoping to exchange.

These shoes were cute out of the box. However, when I tried them on the left shoe was huge! The sizing inside the shoe was correct. I don't know if it was a manufacturing fluke or someone else had purchased them, returned, them, stretched the shoe out? I was disappointed because the shoe itself was what I was looking for. I'm not going to reorder. This is the downsize of buying online.

I ordered these shoes in light tan and loved the style, but the right shoe was extremely wide and was not the same color as the left shoe. It does say that each pair of shoes may vary due to the leather and that each pair is unique, but who wants to wear a pair of shoe that doesn't look the same. I always order 2 sizes and the other pair was perfect, but was to small. Returning both pair!!

I got my first two blisters within 20 minutes of wearing these shoes, the next 4 came 3 hours later

I’m so sad these didn’t fit! I tried my usual size (7.5) but they were so tight. The edges cut into the tops of my feet and my big toes felt squished. So I tried size 8. The 8’s were a bit looser overall but the edges still hurt my feet. Also, there’s very little support in these shoes. I tried using my own inserts but that made them far too tight. They’re really cute, but I couldn’t wear them.
