Not true to size. I wear a 10 1/2 in all my shoes and a 10 1/2 wide in all my boots. Ordered the 10 1/2 wide in these and they were clown shoes. Ended up in a 10 (normal width) to get a good fit. Otherwise, they are light and comfortable to wear.

I loved these boots until a couple weeks ago. I've put in over 100 miles on these and loves them. They're comfortable, agile, look good, and work perfect for my style of hunting, and I use them for work. Some people have had waterproof issues but I haven't. Mine have been completely waterproof.
My issue is squeaking. 2 weeks ago the left started, thought it was a rock but it wasn't. Extremely annoying but manageable. Three days ago the right started. Now each step I take I squeak like squidward walking around. Now one of my favorite pairs of boots ever, must be retired after less than a year of ownership. I can't hunt with boots that squeak each step, and working in them drives me insane. Safe to say I'll be looking else-ware for new boots.

Been wearing Merrell foot wear for years. Purchased this pair for duty use due to new authorization. I generally wear other brand side zip polishable boots. I gave Merrell a try for duty use.
I quickly realized they did not meet my expectations. They are comfortable to wear, sizing is good, look is good but the side zip, fail. Side zip boots are to be quick on off, Merrell you need to make some adjustments.
I am not of size that requires "Husky wear", and I still have to unlace and unzip to remove my boot.
If this were to be resolved, I will definitely recommend this boot, bit due to the side zip not meeting it's goal, I do not recommend. That is my only issue.

These boots are almost perfect. Comfortable, lightweight, tons of grip, easy to take on and off, stylish, but one major issue definitely NOT waterproof. I'm a meter reader for my local electric company so Im hiking all day in all of the elements. After walking from house to house through wet grass for about 40 mins or even in a light rain my feet would be soaked. Had Merrell send two different replacement pairs and water seeped through everytime. A quick splash in puddle or two and you're fine but anything more not so much. I'd call these water resistant at best. Once they fix this issue these boots will be perfect

I will start off saying that I do enjoy this boot. It's extremely comfortable, the sizing was pretty spot on, and it is aesthetically pleasing. However, there are a couple negatives about it that would keep me from buying it again. I've worn this boot for about 8 months now as a beat officer and it has seen every type of weather Kentucky has to offer. Hot, cold, rain, and snow. It is not waterproof. Anytime it rained or snowed, my feet were getting wet. They didn't get soaked, but definitely damp. I didn't expect gortex type of protection, but I wasn't expecting walking through puddles being an issue. Second, the side zip feature is worthless. The connecting fabric doesn't allow enough stretch for you to don or doff the boot without untying the laces (and the laces are obnoxiously long). Wet feet and not being able to utilize the quick removal feature by way of zipper are reasons enough for me to not purchase or recommend this boot.

I had to use a pair of side cutters to cut off a sewn knot that attaches the tongue. That hasn't fixed it completely. I have to lace the boot looser than normal because my "fix" isn't perfect. Do you like a knot sticking you just below the ankle bone?

The Moab 2 is a decent attempt at a tactical/uniform boot. With over 30 years in law enforcement, having worn dozens of boots, the Moab is one of the most comfortable out of the box. The height is not bad, I just can't figure out the stupid reason for the side zipper. It serves absolutely no purpose and any self-respecting LEO would never wear a boot with a zipper. Ridiculous.

I've been wearing the same size shoe since I was in high school. I ordered a 7 and it was as huge. I checked the tag on the inside of the boots and it said 7, but it was more like an 8. I made the mistake of throwing the packaging away before trying them on, so now I'm stuck with an expensive pair of boots I can't wear.

I have had this boot for about a year now and it is a good boot right out of the box. At first it does seem to with stand a beating. I am a park ranger and I used to wear these boots daily. They are light in my opinion and worked great when walking thru back country. After about 6 months of heavy use (swamps, rocks, logging slash, and just normal foot patrol) these boots started to separate. Now if they could fix the separation issue then this would be an excellent boot. I love the side zip option and how comfortable these boots are. I could run or walk in these. I wish they were more durable. I still wear these boots from time to time but the water proofing Is no more. I have worn boots Such as nicks and danners. In my opinion these are great boots but until they fix the durability issue i would just spend a little more money and get danners.

I've had a pair of these boots for about 6months. Love the comfort. These boots however are not waterproof as advertised. I responded to a structure fire and had to walk through several inches of water left by the fire trucks. Needless to say my feet got wet. Not a good thing to experience when the wind chill is in the teens.

I love how comfortable these boots are. They fit my feet perfect. However these are NOT in the least bit, waterproof and to be honest I am not sure why Merrell tries to sell them as such. Mine got dirty the other day and I figured wth I will just wash them off. I grabbed the garden hose and inside of 30 seconds, my socks were wet. And that was after spraying the toes. Now, that said I would buy another pair. Disappointing they are not waterproof though.

I love these boots. I use it for work everyday and actually purchased 2 of them. I'm on a bicycle patrolling downtown area. I bought it because the ad said that the boots are "water proof". I was able to test the boots last week when it rained hard. I used them throughout my shift. When I got home my socks were drenched. I hung the boots overnight. The next day the boots were still wet. Long story short it took 3 days for the boots to completely dry.

Had these boots for 6 months they were comfortable right out of the box. Bought them a size larger than I wear with other shoes and boots. They are really light weight and don't feel like you're wearing boots. Got them in wintertime and my feet stayed fairly warm even in the coldest temps. Worked in the slush and mud and they stayed dry. They are my daily work boots and I wear the 9-12 hours a day. In short I love these boots.. but the quality is just not there, especially for the price. After roughly 3-4 months I noticed the stitching going out around all the silly design stuff on the toes, basically where one's toes bend when they're walking. This should really be double or triple stitched because the constant motion from walking rips them up quick... or get rid of all the "stylish" design stuff and make the toe out of a single piece of leather or fabric. At 6 months the side zips, which are plastic!, Are starting to stick and not zip smoothly. I'm sad because I don't think I'll get a year out of these boots.. what a bummer. Great idea, bad execution. Will seriously think twice about buying another pair to replace these.

If you don’t wear thick socks, you’re going to feel the stitching from the boot and it’s a bit uncomfortable. The company could’ve don’t a better job adding a layer of material so you don’t have to feel the stitching on the base of your foot while you’re walking.
The boot is designed very nicely, but it’s not comfortable. It doesn’t justify the $155 cost of the boots

I always wear a size 11.5, but these boots were overly sized and i had to wear several insoles to try to make them fit, but that did not work and my foot would slide around causing it pain and discomfort. I have since discontinued wearing these boots because the large size makes makes them uncomfortable

I was super excited to order these boots. Being military law enforcement and also volunteering with search and rescue stateside, I was looking for a boot that was super comfortable, but durable to use hiking and climbing mountains to rescue hikers and then go straight back to work in my military duties. The first two hikes were on the same day, decent weather temp, starting out in the 50s-60s 4.5 miles total they were great, I kept them on all day and then headed out to another 4.5 mile hike but temps were now up on the 80s. But... still no problems. On my third hike however, another 4.5 mile hike up and back down the mountain, in 90 degree weather, the inside sole of the boot started to scrunch up on my foot, making it not comfortable at all and me having to try to push it back down when i finished my hike. I thought these boots were great at first, but on only the 3rd hike I'm experiencing this, and if they can't hold up to this 90 degree heat how are they gonna hold up to the 100+ degree heat of my deployments? How are they gonna hold up to me climbing large mountains if the inner soles can't stay down on them on the small 4.5 hike compared to my 8-11 mile hikes??? I'm hoping they work out, but am very disappointed to see these not holding up. Maybe I just have too high of expectations?

Not very happy. After only a couple months of use, the rubber outsole is coming apart from the boots. Been repairing them with glue so it doesn't come completely apart. I also get a squishing sound from my right heel as a result of what's happening. Would never buy another Merrell product. Expected alot more from a boot that expensive. Should last alot longer than two months.

They were very comfortable for first couple months, light weight, held up and great for law enforcement work. NOW it feels like there is an arch out the outside of foot. Have checked and can't figure it out. So uncomfortable I can't wear them now. They just lol good in closet

I bought these at the beginning of summer 2022 for Westchester, NY policing. At first they seemed great, light weight, cool in the summer and warm in the winter. But where's the waterproof. After stepping into melted snow and rainy days, I would end my tour with soaked socks. They remain comfortable but I don't think I'll be buying these again.

I purchase these for what hoped would be a pair of boots that I could fit to my foot and not have to worry with laces to get and keep a comfortable fit, but that was not the case. I contacted the company and they recommended a different boot made by one of their other brands. I sent these back and have yet to try and find the other brand to try.

I have these boiled for about three months . Through normal wear the fabric is fraying and tearing. For the price of these boots, I expected better

I have fairly narrow feet and these fit quite tight. The soles are very hard. I wore them for 1 hike and my toes hurt for 2 days afterwards. Now I'm stuck with them. Guess I'll wear shoes around the house longer next time before I keep them.

The boots were great for a few weeks then I started to notice some issues. After about 3 weeks I noticed they were no longer waterproof. The zipper stopped going all the way up. And for the last month they have been falling apart at the seams. I have only had them for 3 brutal months. Hiking on average 25 miles a week and over 17 mountain passes.
