I bought them for my child, and the front stitching came apart in less than a week. Very disappointing from a normally trusted brand.

The fit and size were great,. This was our second pair of the same model. Had a smaller size and got the next size as the kid grew. Both shoes within 2 months had the same problem - the stitching of the leather part above the toes came apart. I contacted the customer service and they were phenomenal. They credited me for both shoes. And saw I had just ordered the same shoe and advised me to return them - as they had not yet been used. I was so impressed with the customer service - I expected they'd turn me over to New Balance to take it up with their customer service.

Overall the look and fit of these are good but the quality is definitely lacking. I've purchased New Balance multiple times and this particular shoe a few times but the construction on these are awful. Stitching is just for looks because they did not hold the shoe together at all after a few wears. I mean maybe 3 to 4 wears max.The stitching on the straps were sub par and pulled away from the Velcro also after a few wears. I know shelf life for shoes are not long with active boys but for this price point I expect the shoe to last at least a few months. Honestly this was such a waste of money. I definitely will not be buying these again. The high reviews are ones that are probably just out of the box. This one is from a mom who's had multiple pairs so buyer beware.

Such a bad quality, it started to fall apart within weeks of use. Don’t recommend this product.

This shoe did not last a month for my 5 year old grandson. The strap separated and the top of the shoe already became unstitched. The shoe had big gap in it. Very disappointed in the craftsmanship of this shoe.

I have had these shoes less than 2 months and my son does not wear them everyday, they still came apart. I wish they were stronger materials because it is a nice shoe, but they did not hold up. That is a lot of money to spend to have to buy another pair less than 2 months later.
