This is the second pair I purchased from Timberland. The first pair I thought would just take time to break and in; however, it was just half size too small. I wear 8M - but with this brand I am needing a 8.5M. Overall I feel the brand is great and makes a good hiking shoe. It supports my ankles and feels secure while on trails. I double tie my laces to make sure it doesn't become loose. I obviously liked the first pair to support the company again to purchase the half size larger. These shoes either fit or don't. They will not expand with time. Happy Trails!

This is my first hiking boots and I was pleasantly surprised. I wore them for the first time today and my feet did not feel tired after walking! It has good arch support and ankle support which left my feet in a good condition after a long hike. One downside is that they are a bit narrow so if you hate the narrow feeling pls order a size up.

Actually, the boot was just fine...it was me that is the problem....I have metal plates in my ankle and the top of the boot was rubbing the wrong way....nothing wrong with the boot. Now I know better of what I can wear. Thank you so very much for the service you provide. I've purchased a number of footwear from you over the years and have been extremely pleased.

I have a wide foot and the medium width didn't cause any pain.

I was a little nervous about them being too narrow after reading all the reviews. I have an average width foot and the fit was perfect. I like the color. Looks more brown than gray. Overall, very happy with my purchase and with Zappos.
