I was pleasantly surprised with how good this boot was for me. Not just good, but AWESOME.
I know this is hiking meant to be comfortable and durable for people walking around outside, but that's NOT why I bought them.
The way I wore these boots, they got MUCH more abuse than they would if used for hiking... I used these as work boots (I'm a construction laborer). I wore the boots daily and they were my only pair. They were subjected to rough terrain, heat, water, and long days jumping on a shovel (which is really rough on the soles of any pair of boots). Oh, and plenty of walking too. I averaged about 15 miles of walking per day, usually over poorly graded terrain (think of the soil at construction sites...) These boots lasted an entire work season (9 months) before I had problems. The first problem was the seams connecting to the soles were ripping, which effectively stopped the boots from being waterproof (a HUGE problem in my line of work). The second problem was that the leather lining on the tongue started to peel off (mostly a cosmetic issue). I've had these boots for well over 2 years now, and wear them when I'm doing dirty work around the yard.
Take it from a guy who's purchased/tested countless pairs of boots under the most demanding conditions. These boots are awesome. Surprisingly better than many more expensive pairs that I've purchased from a popular farm/fleet franchise (I'll leave you to figure that one out). Those rugged boots got beat by a pair of Timberlands. I don't know what that says about either pair, but I loved these boots.

These boots are extremely comfortable. The lower ankle design fits and feels good. Unlike many boots, these offer a degree of 'give' that make them easy to walk/hike in. Many are cut in such a way that they are very stiff and become painful to walk in. Also the soles have a great cushion. The multi-tone color is very attractive and I appreciate the loop at the back to assist in pulling on the boots.
I especially like the 'slim-line' profile of the boot, that doesn't exaggerate my feet. I'm only 5'2" and the boot looks proportionally correct. With some boots I've tried I felt like Bigfoot because of the chunkiness.

The length of the shoe was accurate but if you a person with a wide foot like me you should not get this shoe because uncomfortable and tight in the toe box area because of that I got major blisters from my feet rubbing against the side of the boot.

These boots are so great! So cute and comfortable. I had a pair of Timberland hiking shoes for 16 years that finally started to fall apart. I bought some Merril and returned them right away. Then o went straight to the Timberland website and have Not been disappointed. They look good on the trail, on the motorcycle and just in every day gear. Best Buy this year!

Great boots! I wore them for a week to break them in but it was not really needed. Very comfortable boots. On my first hike my foot was partially submerged in a puddle and my foot stayed dry. Good grip. I’ve been wearing them mostly every day since I got them and no issues. Very comfortable, sturdy, supportive and nice looking boot. I ordered a half size and it was a perfect fit for me.

The display photo is not the same color as it is in person! It's more like orange-brownish (not my liking). I bought it awhile back and I was suppose to return it, but I lost the receipt and now it's too late. Look at my photo, that's how it really looks. I also bought it when it wasn't on sale, so very disappointed.

This hiking boot was great. I needed new hiking boots fast. I took these with me to Alaska. Typically I like to break in my shoes I'm before going on a trip but there was no time. It was still great. No need to break in. I ordered a size 9. I wear a size 8 or 8 1/2 in vans. I also wear a size 7 1/2 in converse. I hope that helps. I decided to go up a size only because I was wearing thick wool socks. So they fit perfect. If you plan to wear normal socks then stay true to your size. I still sprayed mine with waterproof spray just to be safe. Very comfy. I have an old pair of hiking boots from timberland and those are a size 8 and no room to wiggle my toes with thick socks. So sizing up worked great for me. They support my ankles and have nice cushion. You can't go wrong with any of there shoes.

I have the hardest time finding shoes that I will like and that will fit. I wear a size 5 and most companies don't even make size 5. Timberland makes size 5 and the boots fit PERFECT. They are comfy, I use them for hiking and outdoor activities mostly and I get so many compliments ALL THE TIME. They make hiking so much easier and they are also so easy to clean. Unlike other shoes, I never get any dirt inside the boot. I love them and I will purchase more in other colors too.

I really love these boots. They are cute, comfortable, and functional! A good alternative to the typically unattractive hiking boot. :) I wear a 6.5 and ordered a 6.5 and they fit perfect. I wore them all day doing yard work and my feet never got sore.

Fit is great and they sit nicely next to the Timberlands I’ve worked hard for 20 years, not consistently of course. Only problem, if these are gray I’m a monkey’s aunt. They seem to want to be gray with the blue trim but hard as I try to see it that way, I swear they’re army green. But as a graduate of the Elite School for the Odd, I’ll keep them and love them and tell them they’re gray.

I have an old pair of Timberland's that I love but this one has no support and not enough toe room.

I have very narrow feet and wear orthotics (plantar fasciitis and heel spurs). I also am an avid gardener with a steep hillside property. These Timberlands just provided me with a wonderful spring-summer-fall with absolutely no foot pain and no twisted ankles. Highly recommend!

I bought these for an upcoming hiking trip. I waited to review until they were broken in. I hiked miles in these through Arizona (Grand Canyon and Sedona). Break in period was short - maybe one day easy hiking. My feet weren't sore - I just needed an adjustment on socks/laces and spent the next several days hiking in them and they were so comfortable that I wore them everywhere even if we were not hiking. Comfortable with a lot of ankle support. I got these over trail runner type hikers specifically for the extra ankle support for rock climbing, etc. LOVE these boots! Well worth the purchase. Can't wait to put many more miles on them. Timberland's last forever.

I wear a size 8 M in Timberland, and these boots fit true to size. I definitely do not have narrow feet, and the width was true to size, not too narrow. I have a high instep, and had no problem with these boots.

I wanted to love these shoes but they were too narrow; normally wear a size 8 and tried 8, 8.5, and 9 and none worked. I loved the style and comfortable sole except for narrow footbed
I ended up going with the timberland euro hiker boot in usual 8M with no problem. These just seem to be shaped more narrow

I brought these with me to my trip to Iceland the other week (mid December) and they did so well. Comfortable from the start, no issues with pinching anywhere, and boy are they waterproof. Walked through straight puddles and nothing got in. Also walked on a ton of ice and they gripped pretty well.

Absolutely love these. Very comfortable and stylish. I get complements on these every time I wear them. Definitely recommend. I wear them more for fashion. I have wide feet and they do not feel squished.

These boots were great for hiking in the rain in Ireland! My feet stayed totally dry in the pouring down rain, had great traction, never slipped in sheep sh$&, and were very comfy! Highly recommend!

No break-in time required. Can't speak to durability as I have only worn them for several days. Made a huge difference in walking comfort. 6.5 fit perfect; 7.5 purchased for heavier hiking sock.

I always purchase a 1/2 up when ordering sneakers or boots and these were perfect. Some waterproof shoes look "clunky" but these are not.

I've had these boots for almost a year. I wore them without any break-in for a winter trip to Yosemite. Hiked many miles in snow and ice and crossed a couple streams; feet stayed warm and dry. Last week I hiked 8 miles in the desert hills in them, scrambling over boulders. I have a slightly narrow foot with high arches and have a very hard time finding comfortable boots, and I just love these. I typically wear a 8.5 in cowboy boots and 9 in sneakers and heels. At first I bought a 9 in these, but decided to exchange for a 9.5 because I like extra toe room in my hikers. And they look cute and feminine too.

I wore these hiking boots on my trip to the Galapagos and they were amazing! I was hesitant to get them because i haven't worn hiking boots in forever and I remembered them to be generally heavy, clunky, ugly and hard to walk in. These boots were phenomenal. I didn't have to break them in and they were as light as my tennis shoes. I was on a boat for the week and we had both wet and dry landings on islands for our hikes and these boots were actually waterproof and kept their grip on very slippery rocks. They're also really cute and I received a number of compliments on them. Highly recommend these boots! #SWEEPSTAKES
