I really wanted to like this shoe, as it was great looking and no/low rise, and I've liked Merrells in the past. However, I sent them back because the arch area of the shoe had a weird gapping/collapsing aspect to the fit. My foot has a "normal" arch and I am used to minimalist style shoes, so not sure what the issue was with this one. Disappointed that they didn't work!

Cute but felt wide and hard and flat. Decided to go with the Merrell Sirens instead. Similar look and use but a better fit.

I only wear Merrell running shoes and these are the very first pair I am completely disappointed in. The fit was okay, but running in them my heels would slip out. If I tightened them, they really hurt the tops of my feet. I've tried wearing them for different purposes, and so far the only thing they are okay for wearing during, is biking. They are super cute in person, but comfort is most important and these failed miserably.

Love the roomier toe area.. Very comfy :). Also lightweight and pack well.

The toe cap is hard, which left my little toe bleeding. This shoe does not hug your foot. There is no flexibility, and the sole is just plain flat. The thin knit lining at the forefoot of the shoe was thin with not even a hint of cushioning below, (it felt like I could feel the sole of the shoe); therefore, I ended up with calluses on both sides of my lower big toes. Though the lacing seems like a neat idea, it doesn't do much at all to customize the shoe to your foot. Sorry, Merrell, If this had been my first Merrell shoe, I would say it's the worst shoe I ever tried. Love, love the regular Trail Glove 4, but these Knit ones are a huge disappointment.

Loved the look of these shoes on my feet. But is NO padding and the inside of the shoe is HARD and stiff...imagine your foot in a hollow rock. That's how they feel next to your toes. So socks are imperative but since I ordered a size to fit more snug (since the description read "sock-like fit"), I had to wear thin socks. But even then the tips of my toes got blisters because of rubbing on the front of the shoe. Sad because they are super cute.

I should have followed the advice from other buyers. I have several pairs of Merrell barefoot shoes that I love, ALL sz 8 1/2 but these are too big! I'm not sure that ordering an 8 will do it.....they're just too wide and too long. Also, the arch is much higher than in my other Merrell's......perhaps I'd get used to it but not sure. So I'm going back to order another pair of Merrell's Vapor Glove shoes......I can bank on them being comfy and good-looking!
