Wow, I am so pleased with these shoes! I sort of bought them on a whim, but it must've been meant to be b/c I am in love. I love the way they look, but, more importantly, they give excellent support and are so comfortable! It's like you're wearing a snug, sturdier sock on top but with a supportive bottom, the perfect combo. To me, it would seem impossible for these to be uncomfortable b/c I imagine the top of the shoe would conform to any shaped foot, but I would say that I have a small, medium (perhaps to medium-wide) foot and these have a nice, roomy toe box so there is no 'too tight' feeling in the toes thankfully. At first they can seem a bit odd to get on, I do think a tab pull at the back could be beneficial for ease at getting them on, but, once they were on it was immediate comfort for me. And I am picky with footwear after 2 surgeries for bunions (at a young age from wearing bad footwear too young for too long I may add!). I could see wearing these with either thin, running socks, or barefoot being comfortable. I am so happy I got these!

Very versatile and very comfortable. Easy cleaning - you can throw them in the washing machine and they come out like a clean pair of socks.

Love these. I am pretty particular about style AND comfort. I’ve been in the kitchen ALL weekend preparing for holiday meals next weekend and these have not come off yet! So comfy, there’s a nice arch support too.

I bought these and about 4 other different Keen styles. These are lightweight but were a half-size too large, compared to another Merrell I also ordered in 8.5. They were too wide in the heel for my narrow heel but had plenty of room in the toe box. I would have ordered a half-size smaller to try those out because they do seem comfortable, but the Scarpa's I ordered fit like a glove right out of the box!

I loved these at first, but even with wearing just a few days a week, the laces only held up about 6 months before fraying. Poor design. I contacted Merrell, and pointed out there are several reviews with the same complaint here, as well as other online sites, and they said they would replace. However, before they send the replacement, they want me to destroy the current pair with scissors and send a photo of the the destroyed shoe. As I have never had any of the styles I was looking into on their website as my replacement, and have never tried them on, I don't like this policy. They say it is for liability, but they already have my email detailing the issues with the shoe. I need the current pair until I find a suitable replacement and their destroy policy doesn't work for me. I think it's time to start looking at other manufacturers.

Great shoes but unfortunate lacing system. Fits snugly, and extremely lightweight. I used to wear the Glove 3s, which are .2oz lighter. These are not quite as flexible but are similarly light with vibram soles, and I like these for the more supportive construction. Biggest downside is the cord lock lacing system, which broke one week in (at the start line of a race!) The lace slipped right out of the lock and immediately starting coming apart. It's also very difficult to pull these as tight as I'd like. Overall, a great shoe, though I think Merrel made a huge mistake with the lace lock system instead of normal tie laces.

These shoes are true to size and very comfortable to wear barefoot. The feel is similar to earth shoes or birkenstocks, as the heel feels lower than the forefoot. They are not the most flattering style. The shoes provide very good support for high arches, much better than the Merrell siren edge. I liked the lacing system initially. After several months, though, the laces are wearing where they contact the webbing loops that serve as eyelets. The fraying is visible in the photo. I also would have preferred the laces in a less contrasting color.

Love these! You can throw them in your washing machine and wash them like socks. They come out clean and hold their shape perfectly. Super comfy and multi-functional.

Too much slip for a hiking shoe. I am a 10 in Nike and 10 in Merrell, however, the fit on these is weird and impossible to remedy because of the kind of laces these have. Shape is narrow to a wider toe, which could be comfortable but these have laces that are extremely difficult to tighten so that the shoe is snug. Then what happens is they slip when you are going downhill forcing your toes into the toe box. If flat surface is all you will be doing then these could work for you unless you like more arch support. There is an arch however the laces don't tighten so you can feel it. Disappointed and stuck with them as I wore them on a flat surface first and thought they would work.

I have big/wide feet. Opening to put shoe on is just too small for me. I don't want to work that hard everytime I put them on. Too bad as they are very nice shoes otherwise.

Love these shoes! Just bought them to replace another pair (different brand of minimalist shoes) to wear to work. For the last 6 months I have dealt with sore feet after a pregnancy (possible plantar fasciitis) and even a few hours in these shoes help my feet feel better. Shoes are light and comfortable. Zero rub in and break in time. Arch support is also welcome after wearing true minimalist shoes (these are still zero drop).

Love these!!!! I wore the merrrell pace glove 3 for several years (for running and walking), but I can't find them anymore. So, I tried these--they are cushier than the pace glove, which is nice. I wear them running--on pavement mostly and have another pair for walking/wearing around the house and such. They are super comfortable.

I really wanted to keep these shoes, but unfortunately they had to go back. The placement of the arch support in the shoe doesnt fit where my arches are, but that's due to the arches in my feet being abnormally far back.

I wear a seven and these felt perfect. Very cute shoes- However, I intended to use these for walking every day, and I felt there was way too much arch support for my pronating arches- I know that sounds a little odd, but experience has taught me that in this area, too much of a good thing will cause much pain. I have to say that the "Barefoot" concept these proclaim to be, and the amount of arch support here just do not go together.

These shoes are very nice. I wanted a pair of sneakers that didn't have laces, and would looks stylish. The only small issue I have is that they feel a bit narrow around the arch of my foot, but in a cradled kinda way??

Most comfortable shoes I’ve ever had on. I haven’t put them to any fitness tests yet, but have worn them all day at work and doing errands. It takes a little bit to get used to the large toe area, but once I did - wow! They are so comfortable I actually don’t want to take them off when I get home - a first!

I have fallen in love with these shoes! I'm an older girl that has recently had to up my show size from 8.5 to 9. Zappos recommended I get an 8.5, even tho my last few pairs were 9s. After reading these reviews I went for an 8.5 and they fit perfect in all areas of my foot. Upon first wearing them the arch felt a bit high, the heel a tad low. I love my Birkenstocks, so I'm kind of used to such. After wearing them around the house for just a short while I knew I would not be parting with them. After wearing every day for over a week, without socks, they are the most comfortable sneakers that I have ever owned. The knit design works kind of like a sock, keeping small debris from getting inside to my bare feet. They definitely feel kind of like going barefoot in safety. And, I find them very easy to slip on & off. I haven't done in serious hiking in them, yet. I'm thinking that I might prefer my sturdier Siren Edge shoes. When I find out for sure, I'll edit my review.

I love these shoes, and was so happy when they arrived. Unfortunately, they were huge on my feet. I take a normal medium width size 7 or 71/2. In running shoes I need to go up a half size to an 8. These shoes felt at least a size too big. I may try to order another pair or two in different sizes because they are really nice.

Love these when on my feet. Getting them on is a challenge.

Love this gorgeous army green color for women! We don’t all want black, teal, and hot pink! These unfortunately felt very hard in the toe cap and looked more like a bulky Keen shoe than a neat Merrell though, so I returned them.

These shoes are very comfortable, although not very flattering. For the comfort they are worth it, except for a major design flaw: the plastic webbing chews through the laces in a few days. Merrell needs to find a less abrasive material for the webbing.

Overall: PULL-TAB ON THE LACES FELL OFF after a month or two of relatively light wear. I admit I'm not the most delicate, however the tab fell off when I was simply beating dust off of the shoes. I've heard other complaints about laces, so I will not be buying these again sadly. Comfort: FELT WEIRD WITHOUT SOCKS. With socks, these shoes were extremely comfortable for walking, running, and trail running in, and have great grip. I'm a size 9 and the 9 fit me well with socks, although there was a small amount of sliding room more than I'd prefer. Style: I wear the black ones at work with leggings, then I can run after work without changing! That is why I bought them. I wish the sole was all-black on the black shoe. The purple toe makes them CONSPICUOUSLY ATHLETIC, BUT THEY ARE STILL *REALLY CUTE*

I have had these shoes for only two months and haven't worn them a lot. I love them but the bungee cord style lace broke. It appears that from wear, the lace rubbed on the sharp edge of the plastic loop(s) that hold the laces in place. I have been doing an internet search and it doesn't appear that the laces are sold separately. I was saving the broken lace but I it appears that someone in my family thought it was garbage and threw it away... Zappos will you help me with this?
