These shoes are just what I have been searching for. Easy to throw on and go, comfortable, slim, spacious in the toe area, tight enough around the ankle to keep them from slipping off. Several great color options.

What a treat to hike all day and forget that I haven't changed my shoes because my feet were hurting!

These fit and are very comfortable! Had to widen them a little to fit my bunion but they are perfect otherwise. Keep making these shoes!

wore these shoes during a 2-week holiday to utah+arizona with over 100 miles of hiking in all kinds of terrain in the big 5 national parks. walking, climbing, scrambling over rocks, insane verticals. these shoes were phenomenal. always comfortable. always reliable (i'm talking reliable at terrifying heights). an initial toss in the washer didn't remove the red dirt stains (didn't expect it to), but no matter, they are so comfy and cute i will wear them daily until they ultimately dissolve into nothingness (which looks like will be a long while). and i'll get another pair to have as a backup! side note: i was stopped by others wanting to know how they felt and who made them.

I LOVE this shoe. It fits like a sock. Best part you can wash them and they dry quickly. This is my go to every day slip on. I also took this shoe to Europe, it was perfect for traveling because of how light it is.

I really like this shoe. I initially put it on and didn’t tighten the laces, walked through the house and the slipped a lot and I took them off to return them. Then I thought how silly that was and tried them one more time on another day with the laces secured and it was amazing how comfortable they are. It almost has like a slight feeling of walking on a thick gel that gives the slightest bit of cushion and I have found them to be very comfortable. I love the wife toe box and overall shape of the shoe. Hoping to get them in more than one color.

The Trail glove 4 knit is the most comfortable shoe I've had in years! Easy to slip on and off without having to tie. Great grip for hiking the trails and shoes are nice and light. Couldn't be happier!

My main reason for buying these shoes was for travel. I needed a lightweight walking shoe that packs well (doesn't take up much room in suitcase). PERFECT! And so comfortable. Love them

Love these shoes. They are wide at the toe which is super comfortable and make the shoe look cute. The soles really grip rock surfaces and have saved me a few times while free style rock climbing. The shoe laces are super nice/convenient. There isn't a ton of support but enough for me. If you're looking for a shoe that has a lot of support these probably aren't it but they aren't really meant to be that type of shoe. I have worked all day in these and they didn't hurt my feet at all. I'm up and down at work. I normally run 8.5-9 (more often 9 these days) and the 8.5 fit perfectly.

These shoes are really well designed! The toe box is wide enough that I can actually wiggle my toes, while the heal is super snug and comfy with no movement or slipping when i walk. I also really like the arch in the vibram sole and how it is kept snug against my foot. Just a great overall shoe.

This is as close as one can get to feel like walking barefoot with benefits of a shoe. Benefits being not to feel a sharp piece of gravel and having a little support. The shoe is very light and flexible with a large toe box. This shoe just feels so comfortable. I've lifted weights with it, walked around town, and rode on my bike with these on.

Merrell have been my favorite fitness shoes for years. They are great for my feet, last a long time, and super comfortable and light. I wear medium socks in thickness with them and they give enough so sizing has never been a problem with them - they still run true to size.

I've waited quite a while to write this because I was saving these Vapors as incentive to rock through several brutish weeks.... I left them in their black & orange box (good for storing writing notes!) on the center of my desk, to remind myself there was something I wanted waiting for me down the trail.... Today, with the toughest challenges of August behind me, I sat down and opened that box.
My, they are beautiful. Dusty Olive, just what the trail doctor ordered. I am on rough earthen paths all day, in all weathers, and yet want to look smart enough to walk through any door, at any time. The knit is quietly self-assured, and gives confidence to the body of the foot. The heel seat is strong enough to dig in, yet light-weight enough not to notice its structure until you need it. What I did notice is what I run to feel: the texture and romance of the ground.... I feel the instep massage the energy forward; it flows over the balls of the feet as if over low-tide shoals; it splays into the completely unrestricted toes which feel as if there is no shoe there at all -- a joyful squish -- minus the mess. Just to be sure, I took the Vapors for a spin over the rockiest stretch of my practice path. I felt the path perfectly, but my ultra-sensitive soles did not detect a single sharp edge. Not sure how the designers accomplished this, but I am thrilled with their evident work.
The absence of a pull strap may bother some, but I think it was a great call; the sleek ankle line in tandem with some surprisingly saucy side ribbons, means that I can not only run from the woods into any office and feel good about it, but straight out onto the dance floor at night.
Thank you Merrell Designers! You heard my Piscean-footed prayers. I take delight in these shoes. As my feet go, so goes the rest of me -- all day, all night....
This is my second pair of Vapors (my beloved Vapor 2s are kept in a place of honor), my fifth pair of Merrells, plus one pair bought as a gift. I previously contacted Merrell about their social and environmental policy and received a positive response. But now the romance is getting serious, so I went online and read the annual SR report of Merrell's parent company, Wolverine: Wolverine Worldwide Responsibility Report. I believe the commitments expressed in that report are sincere, not just greenwashing. I am very, very glad about that -- because I could not wear these shoes without that assurance and Merrell shoes have helped me keep the pace I want to keep: full out.... Thank You Merrell! Buon Lavoro!

This shoe is everything I was wanting in a trail runner. Love the knit upper!
I run ultra marathons and normally buy a half size up to 9 for the shoes I race in. This definitely fit bigger then I was expecting but I don't mind that. I would go to 8.5 when I buy another pair though and if I was buying them for shorter distances I would go a full size down.

I've hiked barefoot for over a decade and trail run fairly often....I have to say that these shoes are amazing. I was drawn to these because of the 3D construction: My feet have been through a lot with the 'millions' of times they've been stepped on by horses and the dislocated metatarsal/bunion on my right foot as a result. I'm excited that I can keep up my foot strength and integrity while protecting them and supporting them *just* enough. No more special lacing patterns! The arch is comfortable, they're light but snug, low profile and gorgeous. Looking forward to the miles run in these in my future!

It took a bit of time for my feet to adjust, but now I love them. Typically I wear a 9 in street shoes and a 10 in running shoes. Went with a 9.5 and could've went with a 9 for sure. Even though they're stretchy fabric they've been very durable so far.

I bought these specifically for longer trail walks - 3 miles, plus. My regular Nike running shoes that were fine to wear around town were causing blisters between my toes. My foot is wider in the front than at the heel, so a wide width doesn't work for me, but my toes needed more room, which is exactly what these shoes provide.
These are super light weight, very comfortable, and the toe box is visibly wider than the rest of the shoe. This might be a turn-off if you're wanting your foot to look small and cute, but for functional purposes, it's a natural foot shape. Your toes have LOTS of room to spread naturally as you stride, and there is easily a 3/4" gap between the end of my big toe and the end of the shoe, as there should be.
The upper part of the shoe is stretch-knit like a sock, and the laces are really just to adjust how tight you want the shoe to feel on your instep. I don't really think they can substantially change the way the shoe fits, though. It's already very snug to pull on, and loosening the laces wouldn't change that snug fit. To that point, I've been wearing mine barefoot (no socks). It would be a struggle to get them on with socks, although I'm sure it can be done.
The sole feels really similar to Vibram 5-Fingers, which makes sense since this is the same company and this shoe is supposed to mimic a barefoot feel. The sole is thick and protective. I don't do serious hiking, but this is fine walking over/on gravel or stepping on a stone on a paved trail. I would wear them on beginner-moderate unpaved trails without concern.
The only thing I felt I needed to "break" in before heading out for a long walk was the very top of the shoe over my instep. It was very snug there and since you can't loosen it, I wore it around my house, then out on some errands to soften that area up. My instep is pretty average, but maybe if you have a really high instep that could be an ongoing problem.

I'm a fan of another brand, but quit buying them because of their political views. I was thrilled to find these great comfortable shoes. I would recommend them to anyone, especially those of us with wide feet.

These trail runners are fantastic! True to size, very comfortable and they handle the trail perfectly. These are a keeper for me and mist for others looking to run trails, up hill and down with lots of rocks or not, they handle it all with perfection.
