This is my third pair. I walk a lot and they are comfortable right out of the box. My only problem are the insoles . They slip after like a week. But I do like them.

These have a wider toe box than the Alverstone style I previously tried, and fit perfectly out of the box. I ordered half a size up because I like to wear cushioned hiking socks, and that turned out to be a perfect choice. These have good flex in them and feel so much less clunky than my full hiking boots -- perfect for an afternoon hike! Their style also doesn't say "hiking shoe" -- so they'd be great to throw on for a walk around town as well. I look forward to logging many miles in these!

I use these shoes primarily for trail running. I was able to wear them straight out of the box for a 4 mile run. I have tested them out for longer half marathon runs (on dirt). I would probably upgrade to the gore tex version of this shoe as these do allow a small amount of soft-silt sand/dirt and moisture in.

I put this on and wore them to work before heading directly to a hike; immediately I thought about buying a second pair just to wear for comfort and support for non-hiking days. They look like sneakers, are light, and fit just right. Wore them on short and longer hikes and the grip and support are great.

So happy I bought these hiking boots! I hiked for 6miles and went uphill, downhill, on rocks, on sand and everything in between. No problems with slipping or sliding. No rubbing or blisters either. So comfortable and I'm so happy I bought these!

Love my new shoes. Went on a two hour walk and they were great! Have to wear thick socks because I'm in between 7.5-8 so I always get size 8 and these are a roomy 8.

working long hours on concrete floors use to kill my feet. These shoes have great support, comfortable, and now my go to shoe!! I can work all day and my feet and legs still feel fresh afterwards!!

Great looking and good fit. I have to wear shoes that can accommodate my orthotics, so Merrell shoes work well for me. I usually take out the manufacturer's insole and use a thinner drug store foam insole under my orthotic. This shoe was a bit deeper than expected, so I ended up using a thicker foam insole, but in the end, it all worked out well. Thanks Merrell for making great shoes!

When I received them I put them on right away and went for a 3 mile walk. They were super comfortable the second I put them on. They are nice and light too with great traction. I love the purple and turquoise, my two favorite colors! My Aunt and my friend already purchased a pair because they loved mine! And bought my daughter a pair for her bday. She loves them! Thank you Merrill for such amazing quality in all your products!

When I received them, I was excited because of all other reviews I read and how everyone said they were great. Well I put them on and at first I was skeptical but as I wore them more around inside to break them in I think these are very comfy shoes and love them, might be buying another pair to try at work. I work in the OR 12 hour shifts so I am very particular in my shoes and they have to be comfortable and very supportive. So I give these a thumbs up

I have a thinner type foot so I was worried that i would be swimming in the larger toe box. It actually is a nice feeling to have the extra space and the sides of the shoe keep my foot in place. Love the fun colors, too.

I LOVE these shoes and now have bought 2 pairs. They fit perfectly, true to size, are the most comfortable walking/hiking shoe I have ever had and I have tried several kinds. Right out of the box they were perfect. They aren't waterproof which I knew and preferred but they do fine with wet feet especially with wool socks. I hope these are available forever!
