I've been so impressed with Merrill shoes, which I have worn while volunteering in Africa and doing a whole lot of walking around in the bush. I plan to take these new MQM Flex next time because they have even more grip and flex than the other Merrill shoes I have worn, perfect for hiking up sandy hills and rocky "trails." Stability is incredibly important. Fall and break a leg because of slippery soles? A nightmare in a place without hospitals or vehicles. If these soles hold up as well over time as Merrill shoe soles usually do, they will once again be the only pair I take with me to the bush. One notethese run a tad large. I wear a 9.5 and these are the largest 9.5 I own.

These are very comfortable and the lightest hiking boots I have ever owned. I always buy Merrell. They produce consistently excellent boots which are always true to size.

Fantastic product so far ! Durability is fantastic compared to the last shoes I got from Merrell. Love the gortex, grip and durability so far ! Love the reenforced to sides as it's always the first to wear out. Couldn't be happier with an online purchase. Taking them to physio next week to be sure they work with my feet perfectly. But they feel amazing and my progress on physio this week has been an outstanding decrease in pain.

Very good daily walking and light hiking shoes. The uppers have held up well for the past year. The sole tread is worn out. These faired better than my sneakers with similar use so I'm ordering up a new pair of Merrells in the waterproof version this time.

I love the looks of this shoe, the color mix on the shoe is fantastic. I have worn Merrells for years and always a size 8 so bought this in an 8 which felt good when tried on. Unfortunately as I walked long distance in this shoe I quickly realized the toe is too short. Crap! I wasted a lot of money on ILL-FITTING shoes. The nice thing about this shoe is you get a spring to your step while walking. I have recently purchased another pair of merrells that also are too short in a size 8 and the size 8.5 are too big. They've definitely got issues with sizing in some shoes so beware!

Have worn these everyday for a 2-3 mile hike / walk around my community since the quarantine started. Completely unwearable now (after 5 months) as the footbed seems to have collapsed and my feet hurt for hours after a walk. Maybe that’s normal or maybe they aren’t well constructed for regular use.

Very comfortable so far on both paved and unpaved surfaces though I haven't had a chance to wear them for a long period of time yet. Toe box is nice and roomy for my short fat toes - my foot is widest across the toes. I wish these had a bit more support for my high arches.

Shoes fit well. I have narrow feet and harder to fit sneakers in general, so I was pleased.

Really cute - love the colors! Feel good and I’m keeping them but honestly don’t feel as good as my Danners.

I really like these! They fit true-to-size, have much better arch support than most other hikers I’ve tried, and aren’t heavy. The price point is great, too. I’ve worn them a couple of full days now (In hot temps) and my feet haven’t gotten sore or tired in them. This is the first pair of Merrell I’ve owned and I would definitely try the brand again.

I bought these to amble around in off road, frolic in fields, explore beaten paths, trip over roots and stones, etc. I still haven't decided if these are going to work for me, but I've contemplated them long enough to give a "tried on but not tried out" review... First, I measure at 9.5 and I buy 10.5 athletic shoes. I ordered these in a 10 and while technically they fit, I could tell the arch was hitting me wrong; I ordered the 10.5 and they fit well. They don't have enough arch support for me, so I tried them with two of my supports -- one light foam, the other heavy duty. They needed the heavy duty. I also tried them with met pads, and that also helped. Not a lot of cushion. They are light in weight and flexible, seem breathable, and don't come up too high and hit any sensitive spots on my ankles. Even though I think they are fun and cute and all that good stuff, they feel almost a little cheaply made -- and in my head, I'm comparing these to a similar pair of Salomans I tried on in a store (and rejected for feeling like ski boots). I'm concerned that these, being fabric without reinforcement, won't have enough lateral support to actually hike in, but I haven't put them to the test. I'm also concerned that the tread isn't going to cut it in the traction department. I mean, they're better than running shoes (learned my lesson), but they could be better. That said, if I don't find anything better soon, these are going to be my choice.

These shoes were super comfortable right out of the box. I used them for hiking on trails and some on the streets. They worked great in both places. They are lightweight and sturdy without being too stiff.
They seem to run larger than the other Merrell hiking shoes I've worn. Most shoes I wear a size 6. Merrell hiking shoes I'm usually a 6.5, so that's what I ordered. These seem to be roomy; a 6 probably would have worked better for me.

Received these recently and love everything about them. Very lightweight with plenty room across toes. Was apprehensive about the bright colors but actually like that about them. I walk about six miles a day so I need good shoes and these pass the test. I ordered a 9-1/2 as I do in most walking shoes and these fit great. Would purchase again. Would give 5 stars but I want to see how many miles I can get on them.

I had good experience with the one Merrell brand shoe I had owned a while back, and had high hopes for this shoe. When I first put the shoes on I thought oh, no, my arches are going to hurt wearing these, however, after going on my first 2 mile hike with them, I didn't feel any discomfort in my arches. There is ample room in the toe box, yet my feet do not slip around. The traction on somewhat wet terrain in the woods is impeccable. I wear these when lifting weights, too, because the stability can't be beat. I appreciate the breathability of the material as well. The only reason the 5th star was not selected is because the tongues dig into the soft area of the top front parts of my ankle. Otherwise, any other "stiff" parts of the shoes have broken in within just a few uses. Overall, very pleased.

I generally always get Merrell hikers, and have been trying various trail shoes. These fit true, and have good path/road grip. My only issue so far is that after about 10 miles in them, my shin splints are acting up. Will try them with orthotics and hope that solves it.

I live in the desert and really wanted a lightweight hiker. After trying on a bazillion hikers they all felt way too padded and too much bulk, they made my feet look twice as large. I decided to try these pretty shoes instead. They don't have the stiff support sole like a hiker, honestly the sole is kind of cushy. I have worn merrells for years and always wear an 8. These felt good during try on period, but once I got out dog walking at fast pace on roads I could not keep these on after I got home. Why? Too short in the toe. Now I'm stuck with these, so hoping others heed my advice and order 1/2 size larger.

Great, great shoe .. have another pair which was purchased earlier in the fall .. in a different color .. weird thing - although the same great comfort - this pair has a very strange odor to them - hanging on to them because of the comfort & hoping the odor will dissipate ..

This is a great upgrade to my Merrell Moab, but on my left foot the toe box was just a little tight for me.
