These are little bit larger than my usual Siren type shoes and there is more room in the toe area. So, when I put in the orthotics, they fit a lot better and the shoes are not so tight. I haven't worn them for walking on a hike yet, but I think they will be great. There are so many styles of shoes that it is hard deciding what to buy. These were a great choice for me and my silly feet!
I'd also recommend:

Thrilled. The toe box is perfect for those of us with bunions.

Got these shoes primarily for trail running, but I keep finding myself using them for walking, jogging, or just to wear to the grocery store. This was my first pair of Merrell shoes, and I noticed they fit my feet differently than other sneakers but in a great way. I feel like they have the support & stability I didn't even realize I was missing in my other shoes. Plus, whatever the shoelaces are made out of is great - if you tie them tight the first time, they don't come undone. No double-knots necessary.

I have been running around in Merrells for years. I am looking for a women's saliva Trekked, multi sport shoes-black size 7. I've searched on line and called stores. Would you have this shoe on the rack? Thank you

I've had Merrell boots before, but have recently started hiking more & wanted a lighter weight shoe. These fit the bill! Lightweight, yet extremely durable. I got the purple ones & love the color, as well. SO GLAD I got these! If you're looking for comfort in a lightweight, durable shoe, this is the one you're looking for!

2 weeks out of the box and on my feet for light hiking and off-road trail walks, and so far I'm very happy with the fit and comfort. I gave Merrell a rest for 10 years because their soles weren't grippy enough for my PNW adventures over wet rocks. I decided to give them another try, and I'm happy I did. 4.5 stars for the tread; it could still be grippier over wet terrain, but still, it's not a deal breaker. The comfort and fit trumps anything I've had in the past several years, not mentioning brands- just sayin'. Over-all I'm very happy with my purchase, and would reccommend them to others. My hope is that they hold up as expected. I do not appreciate a shoe that doesn't give you the miles you expect. Thank-you!

I love these shoes. I've had pretty good luck with Merrells and these were no different. True to size, comfortable right out of the box. I wore them for a trip to Iceland without any break in time, and my feet were not sore at all after several straight days of hiking in them. I would definitely recommend them. they are pretty snazzy looking, too.

This lightweight show with a nice sized toe box is wonderful. Out of the box it is comfortable and easy to walk in without any breaking in period. I wish the Goretex version were not out of stock, but I am delighted with my purchase and will take them on our next trip this weekend for some light hiking. But I wear them all around town right now.

I haven't tried them on a hike yet, I'm doing one this weekend. But I'm hoping these will be perfect for the Grand Canyon and Utah. The fit so far is perfect.

These fit really well and is lighter than my high-end running sneakers. However, traction in rainy weather is not as good as I'd hoped. Still, a very worthy purchase.

Going hiking in Italy and wanted a light hiking shoe, the MQM flex definitely fits the bill as it is lightweight, has a super flexible midsole, and is wide enough up front for super comfort.

These are awesome light hiking shoes. I have the big hiking boot for intense hikes with difficult terrain, but these are perfect for the short, more-civilized hikes. First time out, I took them on the Capital Crescent Trail in DC from Bethesda to Georgetown. 8 miles and no blisters or hot spots. No aching arch either. Fantastic Hiking Shoes. I look forward to buying a pair for my husband since his feet were not so pampered on the hike.

I know Merrell for me runs 1/2 size small...my usual 8 ordered in 8.5 is perfect. The color is vibrant and fun. Really comfortable with a great gripping sole.

I work in TV and stand/run around all day. I was looking for a shoe that would be comfortable and safe in that environment and this one really does the job. This shoe is sturdy and flexible-- I'm thinking about buying a second pair.

These shoes are light as a feather and extremely comfortable - no breaking in period required! I selected these particular shoes because they have the extra two eyelets on the top, which are needed for the tying method I employ, and so I appreciate having those additional holes. My only "complaint" is that the laces are kind of short. I use the so-called butterfly tie method to prevent heel slippage and can just barely get the laces into a knot once that different threading is performed. I would have given them a 4.5 because of this but didn't have that option, and this is actually a minimal inconvenience. Otherwise, I would highly recommend these shoes - one can always buy other laces!

I have always purchased Merrelll hiking shoes and boots. These light weight shoes performed excellent. Used them on a two day hiking experience in Aspen. Each hike 7 + miles with steep grades and elevation gain. Next hike, or some may call it a scramble was the Devil's Castle Traverse outside of Alta, Utah. I was a little leary of using my new shoes for fear they would not be good for all the rock scrambling. I thought why not....they held up well and protected my toes. By being light weight and not as bulky as hiking shoes, they made the hike/scramble easy.

These shoes have great support for the arch, mesh inserts for cooling, flat stretchy shoelaces that do not slip, and are light in weight. I have a similar pair in bright blue with orange accents. Love the fit of Merrell's.

Another super winner from Merrill. I needed new shoes with more flexibility but still good traction. Comfortable immediately.
