Wow, as someone who finds it difficult to find comfy shoes, as soon as I put these on, they fit like all shoes should fit. Don't stop carrying them!

I use this shoe everyday. Seems to help with fasciitis as well.

Thes are the shoes I never realized I needed, Leather is great quality, not bookbinder leather that too many shoemakers use. I usually wear a 7.5 but picked up a 7 because that size is not available and the fit is perfect. Super comfortable, wore on a vacation with lots of walking and never had an issue. I plan on buying additional pairs as this has become my offical daily beater shoe. ALTRA, please make additional colors of this shoe! Grey, Hunter Green, Blue, Oxblood.

I love wearing the lone peaks on hikes, so I was very pleased to find Altra making a shoe I could wear around town or even in more formal settings. I only wish I had found out about them sooner!

I have an Achilles issue and these shoes have changed my life! I have other Altra shoes but these are unique and my everyday wear casual and office. I hope they aren't being discontinued.

It feels great on my foot, but no other shoes I've ever bought were this size - usually half or one size smaller. However, the sizing within Altra shoes is completely consistent, so you whatever size you want to call them, as long as they're consistent across all your shoes (they have been) I'm happy.

I walk for a living and work a maximum security facility. These shoes are very good on wet floors and are good for sprinting to an officer needs assistance call. Ive been in an untold number of scrapes wearing these and walked the unit for well over a year and these shoes have held up better than any other boots or shoes I've tried. I absolutely love them. I'm on the site right now trying to decide whether to buy them again or not and decided to throw up a review.

I have searched for 20 years to find this shoe. (please do not stop making it). I've had significant problems with my left foot since the mid 90's. 3 operations, plantar fasciitis, botched neuroma surgery, surgery to shorten a bone to try to help with the flawed neuroma surgery. Started wearing a product called SPLAY by Naboso a few months ago. Seemed to help with forefoot paint, but made my toes too wide to fit comfortably into any shoes. My most recent podiatrist, Neal Zomback in Cheshire CT (old school, great guy), recommended looking at Altra shoes. Holy cow, this is the holy grail of shoes to help with my sort of foot pain. I'm using a "Heal That Pain" full length padded orthotic in them (Out of the box, order online). Helping with the plantar fasciitis). Still wearing the SPLAY on my left foot (thank you Naboso). I couldn't be more appreciative to ALTRA for creating such a GREAT shoe. I think it's a big act of LOVE to make something like this, and to create a company that helps people with pain. The perfect shoe for casual and everyday wear. The toe box is comfortable and the fit is as well. I hope other colors come out as I would get a pair of each. I have already got a second pair for when these retire.

With the business casual look I can wear them to work. They even looked good with my suit when I had to dress up for a VIP visit. Now I don't have to worry about my feet hurting from wearing dress shoes while i'm at work.

I had been eying the CAYD shoes for a while now and just did an impulse buy one day. SOOOO glad I did. I like that these shoes have a "business casual" feel to them and I can wear them around the office (once COVID lets us return to the office). What I was so incredibly happy for is the ultra-wide toe box. The first running shoes I bought from Altra were the Torin 3.0. I was very disappointed when the Torin got more narrow in their version 4 and 5. The great thing about these CAYD shoes is that they feel almost exactly like the old Torin 3 shoes that I loved so very much. I have seen some criticism about these taking time to break in or that break-in is even necessary. For a leather upper, one is going to require a bit of a break-in period. Not sure why that is such a surprise for some. I have a couple of pairs of other brands of rather expensive brands of "business casual" type shoes and I can tell you the Altras were far more comfortable out of the box and also took far less time for the break-in to make them feel ultra comfortable.

Has to buy a 12 1/2. I usually wear 12 in sneakers. Love these.

Most comfortable shoes I own. Rugged leather upper. Good traction.

My feet flatten at a rate that terrifies small children when I step down with weight. Altras work.. 3 Pair so far.

Reminds me of negative heel Earth Shoes with nearly identical design and fit. I was a fan of those, these are great too. Excellent arch support.

I like Altra running shoes because of their wide "footshape" toe box. They're the rare brand that doesn't squeeze my toes too much. I was looking more for a casual walking shoe and found it with the Cayd. They broke in really quickly to become the most comfortable casual shoe I've worn in a LONG TIME. The style is handsome and inoffensive and they go great with any jeans or chinos. If you're looking for an all around great shoe, pick up the Cayd and you'll be glad you did.

I wanted a shoe that was comfortable but looked less casual. I can wear them with jeans and a sport jacket and they look fine. They also wear really well. They don't show dirt or scuffs. I've been wearing them pretty much every day for a month and they look brand new.

I have owned these for two months and wear them 5 days a week. The stiffness of the leather, some people complain about, is not an issue. You can't wear them for long hours each day in the first two weeks while they are breaking in, but after that, they are very comfortable. I was a little concerned they were going to scuff and look beat-up quickly but that is not the case. The suede leather seems to absorb and mold over the scuffs thereby hiding them. I did not like the price, but for healthy good looking shoes that appear they will last a long time, they appear to be worth the price. I am 100% satisfied!

I purchased these shoes because I was wearing a pair of shoes that were killing my feet. I have ran in altra before. These shoes are true to the altra name. They have become my go to shoe, no matter if it jeans or casual business attire. I will purchase a black pair as well.
