These shoes are awesome. Comfortable and well made, with Altra's nice wide comfy toe box. The blue is a medium denim blue. I wish they fit. I said above that these seem a half size large. Let me explain. Usually I wear a 14, but I typically have to size up to a 15 in the Altra Instinct running shoe. So I ordered a 15 in these... and it fits like a normal 15 (i.e. too big, a problem I seldom have) The width was perfect for my duck foot, but the length was too long for me. So... i believe the Cayd actually runs true to size, but it is a half size longer than other Altras I've worn.

I have been wearing theses shoes for a month and I love them. It took a few days to break them in because one shoe was rubbing on my heel but now they are perfectly comfortable. I love the zero drop and the wide toe box.

In the last 48 hours I ran over 20 miles (Superior 3.0) and walked over 68,000 steps (Cayd) and my feet feel great. These are the best and most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. Thanks!

Have been wearing this shoe for few months, no issues whatsoever! My only wish - insole made of natural material, wool or leather.

After wearing the brown Cayd shoes for the last 6 months, I ordered the same shoe in black for an upcoming trip. I have worn Eccos for the past several years but they no longer make the model with the wider toe box so I tried these and was amazed. The zero drop was easy to get used to and the cushioning is great. I also bought a pair of Altra Timp trail running shoes for light hiking and they are my now go to shoes for hiking, especially on uneven trails.

I am a woman with extra wide feet. I was looking for light weight, casual sneakers and loved the look of this shoe! It fit great, with a perfect width for me, which is very hard to find! I found the part of the shoe opening across the top of my ankle to be stiff and uncomfortable, and they were heavier/more sturdy than I was looking for so I decided to return them. I am impressed enough to keep Altra on my list for the future, though!

Got blisters in my achilles at first(never get blisters even from running). Used moleskin to prevent that. After a week or two, no need for that. Best, most comfortable casual shoe ever in spite of the break in period. Yes-they are a little warm in the summer. Yes- I am about to buy another pair in a different color.

I already wrote a review on these July 24, 2018, but couldn't figure out how to edit it. All I wanted to add is that after wearing them for a couple of weeks, I am even more in love with the wide toe box and how comfortable they are.

Great shoes for casual use. Lots of room in the toe box, akin to the Lone Peak 2.5 or Torin 2.0. Feels comfy, I've worn them all day without sore/tired feet. Bought in blue and brown. They seem to hold up pretty well. I'm tempted to buy spare pairs, as Altra seems to 'improve' / change their styles almost every 6 months. Good news for some, not so good for others (I miss my Lone Peak 2.5s).

I usually wear a 7.5 mens, I know annoyingly small feet... I know about Altra from hiking, which have been the most comfortable shoe I've ever tried. So I was trying to find a work appropriate shoe with a wide toe box and zero drop. Unfortunately I just couldn't find my size. These shoes are just a tad smaller than a normal Altra size 8. They fit great and are super comfortable. Very durable. Price could be a little cheaper but I'll take it.

Absolutely amazing footgear. I might have worn some other shoes since these arrived but probably not. HIGHLY recommended.

Out of the box these fit perfect and I could be in them for hours. I've been wanting to get zero drop casual shoes for a while and I'm so glad I did! These shoes are SUPER comfortable and after wearing them for several weeks, seem to be well made too.

Love how wide the sole is at the midfoot! Unfortunately, there was far too much room medial to my big toe, so my forefoot slid around. Great-looking, well-constructed shoe. Just didn't fit me.

I've experienced every kind of foot malady over the past few years and the Cayd addresses all of them. Along with being wife-approved for looks when we're out together, I've never been more comfortable at work. The only adjustment I'm needing to make is with my Achilles/heel area, as a lifetime of wearing elevated heeled shoes requires some readapting to my foot's natural zero drop position. Awesome new design - keep'em coming!

I got these to replace my Superior 2.0s that I wear at work. The Cayd is a much nicer look and is very comfortable. I can't remember the last time I got a leather sneaker and I miss them. The back heal padding is thinner than my Superiors and I like that it isn't as bulky.

I became a fan of Altra shoes a few years ago when I discovered that the typical sneaker was too narrow for my foot. Sadly, I had to return the last two pairs I bought--including the HIIT XT's, which I really wanted to like--because they lacked the forefoot comfort I'd become accustomed to. When I saw the Cayd's, I was instantly drawn to their casual design and decided to give them a shot. So glad I did. They look great and have the familiar roominess up front that I look for. They did require a little break-in time, but after a few occasions everything is all good. I got the black pair and if the soles were black, I could even get away with wearing them to work. As it is, I love these shoes so much I got a second pair in brown.

These are perfect for my active and casual lifestyle. I'm a fan of Altra running shoes (Instinct) but needed a non-running shoe for an everyday wear. These are perfect. Just the right amount of casual style, imo the good-looking casual offering from Altra. The feel is familiar with a wide toe box and a cushy ride. These are great for lots of walking too.

I am a huge fan of Altra after discovering that my back pain was due to shoes that have Differential (heel-to-toe drop) drops. With Atlra's zero drop my years of back pain and hobbling are gone! In the Instinct shoe I have to wear an 8.5 which is a full size up from Brooks that I used to wear. I ordered these in 8.5 and then in 8.0 and they are still too big. They are really comfortable. The footbed is like a soft Birkenstock, a bit stiffer over the Instinct. The whole shoe is a bit stiffer out of the box to start. But the support is great in the arch and footbed altogether. i'm going to order the 7.0. Wish they offered 7.5. The blue is really nice looking.
