Great for causally work and around town

This shoe was very stiff at first. it took me wearing the shoe for short times every day for a week and then longer periods of time until after three weeks the shoes fit like a glove. They are now comfortable and I am enjoying all the elements of the Altra shoes I have enjoyed in the past like the zero heal, the room for toes and appropriate amount of insole padding and arch. I love these now.

I wear Altras a half size up in the Paradigm and Cayd. Escalante did not fit my wide feet. Wish they made a true wide but having said that, the black/black Cayd is one of the sleekest street shoes out there. Extremely comfortable wide toe box. Buy them.

These are the best shoes. Very very comfortable. In a previous review I mentioned how I run in them sometimes. I know these are not running shoes. (as some other reviewers have mentioned) They are a bit too heavy and clunky to be considered a running shoe. However, Sometimes I say F#$k it and I run to work in them. I throw my work pants and shirt in my sling and have a Fantastic short run. Just under 3 mies. the shoes hold up great on these short distances. The wide toe box feels great. They are very fitting and responsive. A joy to run in. Super fun. Then the comfort holds up all day at work as well. For me personally the fit of these and their feel makes them an all around awesome shoe. I skate, run, bike, work, and hike in these things. Just bought my fourth pair. Still have the last 3 And they are all still holding up even after lots of rough use. Just made well.

My cayd's provide support and are very comfortable. I use them for casual wear several times a week. Will buy them again. Please make them for women. My wife and sister covet them.

Love these shoes for my everyday work and around town. The all black and the brown go with jeans to a nice pair of Chinos, Twills or Khakis!

I have a pair of these in brown and black and love them both. I have seen reviews where people are using these shoes for running and in my opinion they are not made for that. I use them strictly for office and causal wear and have the Escalante for running and workouts. This is a great casual/work shoe and that is what they are really best for.

Best shoe I own hands down. I wear 11.5. Wide toe base, solid shoe. Solid fit, solid look, solid wear. Anyone have any recommendation if I should use leather conditioner on them? I was going to use Honey Leather on them.

Most comfortable shoe I can remember wearing. Definitely would buy again. I bought size 12, the size I buy for other Altra models. Initially the Cayd felt a little tight but felt perfect after a day or two.

This stands out. It is great and different. No rise. Flat. The cushion is supportive and forms to your foot. Like bare feet, but with a comfortable cushion. I bought them to walk and work in. This is my first pair. Very Neutral. I have tried there running shoes and found this to be what I was looking for. Flat and wide toes...just like our feet. oh...and my back feels good!

I wear these shoes everyday to work. They have also become my main running shoe. very comfortable. The fit is perfect. If batman wore shoes.. these be them. I bought 2 pairs
