Fit was perfect both size and width. Nice looking shoe with zero-drop and a great wide toe box. Great with jeans. Sturdy yet very comfortable.

Have always appreciated Altra toe box. These are comfortable, fit me true to size, and casual. Don’t have all the annoying Altra descriptors plastered all over the shoe, like my other Altras.

I love these shoes, but they run 1/2 size small. I wear an 8 1/2 in almost every other shoe, but in Altra I need a 9.

They look great and are comfortable. The toe is wide and very comfortable in regular sizes even with EEE feet. My only ding on them is that if you have a high instep there's not a ton of support, but they are fine for ordinary daily wear. Not really a runner so that wasn't why I bought them, so can't vouch for them for that use.

I like these zero heel shoes. Great toe box for perfect comfort. Well made shoe.

I think these shoes are great! I'm a huge fan of Altra in general and I really like these. It's great to have the comfort of Altra in a more fashionable shoe. I really hope that Altra keeps making more shoes like this. They run a little small, like most Altras, so order them 1/2 to a full size larger than a standard shoe.

Love Altra shoes and these shoes are wonderfully comfortable the roomy toe box does it for me. I got the black ones and they can be dressy or casual. I am female and very happy with the look of these shoes. I wear an 11 and the men’s 9 fit perfect. I hope they keep coming out with shoes that aren’t tennis shoes.

My husband had a pair so I thought I'd try them. I gave them a good wearing; they are comfortable and I love the wide toe box!

I have wide feet, and the toe box is perfect for my Hobbit-like width and toes. I am having one problem with the shoes, but hope to overcome with time and perhaps thick moleskin. The back upper lip of the shoe rubs the back of my ankle, creating a blister. I hope I'll overcome it on full break-in, or a couple layers of moleskin or padded moleskin attached to the back lip. Other than that, I love the shoes style, support, and comfort.

They felt absolutely awesome. Unfortunately, the Mrs doesn't like the styling. The big toe pocket has a bit of a duck look to it. too bad, they were crazy comfortable.

Big fan of Altra Footwear and this style doesn't disappoint. Tried the blue (nice color, won't interfere with denim, chinos etc) sole is soft gray, doesn't scream. After reading other reviews I tried 10.5 then 10. Am standard size 9, widest part of feet is 4.5. Toe box in these shoes is endless both in length and width. Whole shoe seemed wide, stable and flexible. Style is good for all day and given the comfort level of these, worth wearing all day, too. Is really great with Altras to wear shoes that don't feel like heels but had to toss the 2 sizes back: ran out of time to reorder for an event and I decided that the sole wasn't as cushy as I'd like. But! I am shopping again for more Altras here at Zappos- only place I go. Thanks

Ever since I discovered the Escalante 1.5, my Fred Flintstone feet aren't happy in anything else. Unfortunately, being winter my feet were freezing. I am female and saw reviews from other females about these. My women's Escalante is 8.5, and I ordered a 7 (the smallest available size) in Cayd based on reviews that they run small. A men's 7 would normally be too big for me so I love when men's shoes are reported to run small. The 7 in these is perfect for me! I'm really happy I got them. My Flintstones are warm and happy without having to stray from Altra. With Cayd for winter and Escalante for summer, I think I'll go clean out my closet. Don't need anything more than these and my Keens.
