I've been buying New Balance my whole life and I'm 70. In fact, the headquarters of NB are in my old Boston neighborhood. That being said, I've not been able to find size 13 2E in any shoes I prefer (usually 574 style). NB used to make very colorful shoes but I've not seen any in my size for a couple of years. Too bad. It seems the last so many shoes I've order online I've had to send back because they do not fit properly.

Replaced same model/size, which I loved. Not the SAME! Not as deep in toe area, very uncomfortable.

Too narrow for my wide, crooked toe foot.
I'd also recommend:
Size 10 - 4E extra wide.

I only wear New Balance, and every pair I have I purchase in the exact same width and size. I don't think I ever purchased them from Zappos. These shoes are bootleg New Balance. They are probably 2 sizes too small.

Shoe runs short, I have noticed that alot of the new styles of new balance are running short. They are not true to size.

I bought these for my 12 year old on 1/30/20. They are already coming apart. They will NOT hold up to activity!

Shoe runs small. My toe was right up to the front of the shoe.

I purchased the 574 Military Patch from this website on September 12, 2019. I wish I could submit pictures to demonstrate my issues, but language will have to suffice. I will say that I never communicated any of this to NB. I am a man, lazy and busy, with more important things to do. But tonight sent me over the edge. I use these shoes to go to work. I do not even exercise in them. Within the first week, the seam where the two different types of material meet on the inside of the left shoe (just to the right of the N logo on the left insole if you're looking at the inside of the left shoe) split open and there is about 1 inch where the two materials are no longer connected. About 2 months after purchase, the material on the toe of the left shoe split open and there is about a 3/4 inch slit (looks as if someone stuck a knife in the toe of the shoe). Tonight (1/23/2020, about 4 months after purchase) I noticed that the material between the toe and the N logo on the outside of the left shoe is disconnecting from the insole. There is about two inches where this disconnection has occurred and is clearly visible. All issues occurred on the left shoe and all are associated with the same (dark green) material. Perhaps this shoe was defective and you will be more lucky than I. For your sake, I hope so. But wanted to pass the info along.

The size was significantly smaller than marked. This didn't seem to be just variability in how different models fit, it seemed like it was marked wrong.

they run visibly small. If you hold it up to another new balance shoe of the same size, it is about 3/8" narrower and about a 1/2" shorter. Whoever patterned these is not even close.

Just less than 4 weeks after my son started wearing this pair of shoes, the left shoe developed a hole right above the big toe. This is the second pair that he has owned and the durability is disappointing. He is 18 years old and uses this for daily wear, including indoor basketball. We will not be buying New Balance anymore.

I have owned many pairs of M574 shoes including 4 pairs of the M574GS. I loved those shoes so much that would replace them with the exact same model when they would start to wear out. Unfortunately, the M574GS is no longer available, and this model appears to be the replacement. However, these shoes are nothing like the M574 I have worn for years. These shoes are too narrow, especially in the toe box. The tongue has no cushioning and is very thin. So thin, in fact, that the tongue bunches up when you put the shoes on. This is visible behind the laces and looks horrible. I do not know why New Balance changed such a great shoe, but the changes are not for the better. I will be returning these shoes. New Balance, please bring back the M574 that I grew to love. With all the 574 variations out there, why not at least keep the classic without tinkering with the design?

They felt a little narrow when I tried them on but I kept them, which was a mistake. I have a fiberglass orthotic which normally fits well in New Balance shoes, but not this pair. The teo box is way too small to allow my feet to move freely and just aggravated my big toe joints.

Definitely undersized. Probably by at least one full size. The width is the worst problem. Also, the tongue is awful.

I ordered a 10.5. 4E shoe. Someone put a 4D in a 4E box. I had to return the shoes and get a refund and then reorder shoes. You should have sent me the correct shoe once I returned the bad order.

Ordered a 4E shoe. As soon as I pulled it out of the box, I wondered if the men's shoe I had ordered was a woman's shoe. Very tight toe area for wide feet, and the sole was visibly narrower than any other New Balance shoe that I own.

Size was as expected, seems to be right on. Little to no support in the arch, but this is a shoe built for looks, not training. Which brings me to my main point. The color Burgundy is not burgundy at all, but a very bold TCU/Kansas State Purple. That's fine if you're looking for purple shoes. But just call the damn things purple.

What can I say? I've been an NB fan for years. These new 574's I just purchased are cheaply made. The tongue is flimsy and buckles under when wearing causing great discomfort. Forget about the insoles. Throw them away and find something with support. The laces are ridiculously long and won't stay knotted. You will find an overall cheap tactile feel to these as well. I have older pairs of NB sneakers 474's and 574's the difference is immediately noticeable.
