I usually take a 12 wide but my toe was too tight to the edge. I could have used a 12.5. These must run small

I didn't like how narrow the sole on the shoe was, I think a running shoe is much better as you would get a wider better overall sole and better shock absorption, I would not purchase this should again, Especially for 80.00 dollars, I think it is a bit over priced for what you get !

Ordered two pairs of shoes. I ordered a 9.5 and received a size 9 on one pair.

I have been wearing 993's USA made 10-1/2 2E and find them great, but I wanted to try a wider 4E width so decided to order these 574's in 10-1/2 4E (extra wide). Compared to the 993's the width feels very little wider that the 2E's, the shoe length is significanly shorter, the tongue is thin, unpadded, flimsy feeling, and the heel slips on my feet - none of my other NB's have ever had a slipping heel. In summary not at all what I expect from NB. Bring back the 993's!!!!!!!!

I have purchased New Balance shoes many times over the years with great results. This purchase, however, did not fit properly. Although I orders Extra Wide as usual, the shoes were way too narrow.

The shoes are undersize but I already wore them hoping they might stretch, they didn't. Now I have to buy another pair in a larger size, very disappointing.

My right foot was cramped and uncomfortable, especially my right-hand toes.

These are great shoes, but the size varies quite a bit from pair to pair. I bought a pair of Burgundy in my normal size, and they fit perfectly and similarly to the 990V5. I ordered a black pair the 574s, and they are extremely small, so I highly recommend trying these on in person before buying online like I did. I wore the shoes for a day hoping I would get used to it, and now I'm stuck with a pair of shoes I can't wear.

The extra wide was not as wide as some of the other New Balance extra wides. This shoe would not even accommodate my son's orthotics where this side with other NB styles in extra wide do. Go to 6 e if you usually use 4 e. I am not going to do that because it was a huge difference and I don't think a 6 e would be wide enough even though he normally wears 4 e.

I am a devoted NB purchaser. I sing their praises, and always have been satisfied, except with non USA Products. It's not the quality, it's the size. I've purchased probably 10 pairs for me and my wife and kids, all usa or assembled usa except 3 pair. ALL 3 Pairs were uncomfortable and tight and unwearable, same size as the US models. We can no longer trust buying the cheaper versions as the sizing is apparently different. I will still support NB, but will have to buy less often for the US models. Right now, I'm have two brand new pair that are useless. 13 W and 10 Women's W

Look ok but Aren't great . Need more supports in the metatarsal and the insoles are paper cheap beside made in Vietnam. Lol

I picked the biggest size that I wear in other brands, and it was too small anyway. I regretted ordering that size and I wasn't able to generate a return (10 minutes later) until I received the shoes. More than a review of the shoe itself, it's a review of the purchasing process.

Bought it online so didn't try before buying. Not really that comfortable of a fit. The insole doesn't provide much cushion and the materials are average for the office point.

This is a really nice looking shoe, but runs really narrow for the width indicated (4E). I have numerous ND shoes in the same size (577, 877, and Breeze and Striker Golf shoes) but these are a measurable half inch narrower. I contacted NB and they indicated that these were not miss-marked, but could run narrow. Unfortunately, these were so narrow I could not wear them and they had to be returned. As such, I can not give a positive review for a shoe so miss-sized that it can not be worn.

I purchased size 13 2E like I have on many other New Balance shoes. Excited to find the 574's on New Balance site with my size. When I got them I figured they needed broke in a little, because they were too snug. After wearing them for a week or so they have began irritating my feet and big toe. The 4E is way to wide for me. Very disappointed in these shoes. Definitely not the same as they were. Gave 2 stars just because I like the style and color

I was excited to order a pair of these classic shoes, because I had a pair many years ago when they were originally introduced. I was dismayed to try on a size 13 and feel how shallow the toe box is on the new versions. I then ordered a 14 and it just felt too big all around the sides. A 13.5 could have been the sweet spot but it was not offered/not available to order.

New Balance FINALLY has a nice design at a good price listed as Extra Wide (which is supposed to be 4E.) Too good to be true. The 574 seems cheaply made and likely to split after a few wears. Extremely disappointed.

The color is very different from the picture, instead of gray, it looks pinkish, maybe they send me the wrong shoes... but very comfortable and cute
