Wore 574's for a long while. This pair seems to be run small for a men's size 12. Shoulda ordered the made in the USA

I have been through at least 100 pairs of this style, however more recently they have been falling off in quality. The original 574TBK was built very well. The most recent version, 574ETE fall apart faster, and has laces that will not stay tied. (I have no idea what the rational was in changing the laces.) This most recent pair, had a rapid (< 30 days) sole breakdown and had to be returned. After more than ten years and more than 100 pairs it may just be time to find a new shoe.

Overall great quality, unfortunately the 574 runs smaller than my 990v5 which fit great. I should have returned for a half size larger, but instead I wore them a couple of times hoping they would stretch.

I've been wearing white Reebok Classics for years and I bought the NB 574 in gray in the hope that they wouldn't show dirt like the white Reeboks.
The 574s are comfortable and the fit is ok. My only real complaint about them is that their shade of gray is lighter than it looks online (at least on my PC) and as a result I don't think they'll do much better at hiding dirt than my white Reeboks. I gave them a three-star rating because I don't find anything outstanding about them. I would buy the 574s again and would recommend them to others. For the price I think that they're very comparable to the Reebok Classic model I've been wearing.

I got an ad for this shoe and it caught my eye, so I decided to order it in a size 13 (my normal size). The fit was way off. The shoe was both too short and narrow which made it unwearable. I have had this problem with new balance shoes before, so I decided to return the shoe and order it in a larger size but they were out of 13.5 and 14. Oh well. I really like the design and color so I will order it again once they have my (adjusted) size back in stock

Bought these to wear for long shift at the hospital, I do lots of walking and squatting so I've been walking through a lot of shoes. I actually googled "the most durable shoes" and the 574's came up on every single top 10 list for there durability. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to test that out as these shoes are killing my feet. First few days a thought might of been break in as they are leather, but it just got worse. I swear the left shoe is actually smaller than the right, cause the right fits fine but the left squishes my big toe when I walk. The heel is lifted so high it's killing my feet and knees and hips. Actually really disappointed cause I wore NB's minimus trail shoe at work for almost 2 years happily, so I was super excited about the 574... not anymore

They fit great super comfy. Found a minor flaw, there is glue mark on the suede. its not too noticeable but when I did I felt buyer remorse.

Nice product but not happy that they are not made in the USA. Fit is fine and they are comfortable!

Overall, it is a great product and comfortable and nice looking.
Everything was perfect other than size. The size is tight and is smaller than expected.
I may buy this product but a larger and wider size.

NB needs to offer size 12 1/2 in its main lines like the 574

My feet are a bit wider than average so I can wear regular width in some brands. Got these in EE and they were still way too narrow. New Balance used to be a shoe that tended to run wide, but those days seem to be in the past.

I need a size 18, which is the biggest in this style. Even so the toe area is a little small on the right side. I don't know why they make shoes pointy when feet aren't that shape. I ordered 4e for toe room but it only widened the area at the bottom of the big toe, like for people with bunions. Looked kind of dumb and didn't help me. Just wish shoes were less pointy with more toe room.

The men's design was cuter than the women's but runs a bit big. Sadly will need to return. Make this in the women's sizes in the same design plz!

I work in these shoes as a medical professional. I love the classic style and the proper width. However, the shoe does not provide complete comfort because I still experience some foot pain. It could definitely use some comfort technology in this classic design shoe. Also I would appreciate that more shoes styles came in this width.

I'm still trying to find the right size and width with this particular model. First ordered 10.5 in EE and also 11.0 in EE. The 10.5 in BLUE is definitely not as wide as the maroon color? The blue is more narrow (in 10.5 and 11) than the maroon. Seems they are quite different despite them being the same model number. Another reviewer mentioned a size difference according to color. I now believe them. The bottom line is if one color does not fit right then try a different color. They likely are manufactured from different locations and their template is slightly different.

I usually buy 2ee sneakers but these are very narrow. I would have to buy a 4E if I purchase them again.

very pretty, but metal n is loud, so to say. also, there are hard sections of the tongue that hurt the top of one's feet.
not as comfortable as they should be and your other models are.

Hi. I am very disappointed with my sneakers. In your page the sneakers are grey and red and I received a sneakers blue and red. You have to be more precise with the pics. I live in Panama obviously is impossible for me return it. Also the sneakers that appears in the review is not the same. You have problem with your page.

This was a Christmas gift for my grandson. The shoes were to large for him and after getting them he really wasn't liking the way they looked so they had to be returned. The shoes appeared to run rather large and somewhat wide. I ordered him a 7.5 regular width, he is 12 years old and has a pretty big foot for his age.

New Balance certainly understands design and performance. With that in mind, I do not understand why this shoe line is styled to produce an almost rectangular shoe. Taper it down to the toe box. That's it. That is how NB used to do it.

Not a particularly good foot bed. My feet are tired and sore after a day wearing them. Fit is very good.

Sl-2 are the New Balance styles with the deeper toe box, but even in 4E, it was too tight for comfort. I tried three different sizes...no luck
