I have narrow feet and true size 6. Purchased 6.5 in medium. The shoes were way too big and very wide. It looks chunky. Had to return.

For some people this sneaker might be perfect. For me, the back part rubs the back of my ankle and I ended up with blisters and forgive this graphic bit but I bled all over one of them. I don’t think I can return a sneaker I’ve bled on! I wish I had gotten kicks without that back “support”! Back to the drawing board. I thought NB would be the way to go bc I’ve had success and comfort with them in the past.

These shoes were so cute! I loved they way they looked. I was so bummed when I tried them on and walked around in them to find out how completely uncomfortable they are. It is like walking on cement; there is no bounce and the toe is pretty narrow.

I bought this style sneaker 8 years ago and loved them, name was New Balance 574 - searched this style and saw these listed as Classic 574 and thought I found the same sneaker - unfortunately not. They are ok but not the same quality. Disappointed that NB would allow a lesser quality sneaker to be sold.

I bought a pair of these and within 3 months there was a hole in the front toe area. I called Zappos and they made it right and sent me a brand new pair. Literally less than 3 months later a hole in the same place. I didn’t bother contacting again and just chose not to buy New balance the next time.
Also I noticed another friend had the same pair and had a hole in the exact same place!

I am convinced NB WL574 has changed their sizing. I used to wear a 9, but now it is too small, and I just ordered a 9.5, which is borderline too small. I'm going to order a 10 and see if it's way too big. I'm super disappointed. This style used to be my go to, but with narrow feet, the larger I go, the soupier the shoe becomes. I have two pairs of older 574's at home in size 9, and I'm convinced they are the last ones I'll ever own. I would order up a full size.

I ordered a Wide, which usually works for me, but not this time. The heel was too loose, and the toe box too narrow. Also, the overall look and feel of this shoe seemed cheap and not worth the price. Very disappointing. I returned it.

I've been wearing 574s for over 15 years. I must say this pair was nothing short of disappointing. The laces were flimsy and the sizing is way off. I ordered my usual 8.5 and the toe box was very tight and the 9 I ordered was too big. Huge bummer. I'll continue to wear my current pair with the hope that New Balance restyles these for the better soon.

I am confused by the fit of these shoes. I ordered my usual size, which felt way too small, so I ordered a half-size up, which felt way too big. The biggest issue was the toebox - there was not any room for my toes. In my usual size, the toebox pinched my toes and the uppers were too tight. In the half-size up, the toebox felt marginally larger, but the rest of the shoe was too large. Disappointed because I liked the style.

Disappointed.
I had to return these shoes because they were surprisingly small.
For 12 years I have always purchased a 6.5 W in New Balance shoes in several different styles and they fit perfectly.
I purchased these shoes in a 6.5 W as well and they were very short in length. My toes were touching the end of the shoe and they weren't as wide as usual.
These are nice-looking shoes and I liked the design.
The size discrepancy is a bit puzzling since New Balance has always been pretty consistent in sizing for me.
This style may need to be ordered a half or full size larger.

These shoes are super cute and comfortable. Unfortunately, the sole is made of a material that squeaks terribly on any smooth surface (i.e. hardwood, tile, linoleum, etc.). It was so bad that I had to return them, despite the other positive attributes.

Will be returning them. Love the color. Based on read reviews, I ordered half size up plus wide. That worked out well. Turned out to be just flat out uncomfortable walking. Turned out stiffer at the toe end.
