This pair of shoes did not need any breaking in, they were comfortable right out of the box. I wear them to my gym class and for walking. I have owned many New Balance in the past and this style seems to work best for me. My only hesitation is how well they will hold up. I have had shoes start to get holes in the toe box area.

These shoes look great - a little retro, but still coordinated to contemporary fashion. Not for lots of long walks, running or jumping around, but enough support for everyday activity.

High arches and wide feet make finding comfortable training shoes difficult. These shoes required no breaking in time. The only thing is that the toe box is a little wide and higher than I'm used to. I usually wear 8 or 8.5 W and got these iin the 8.5. Thought of ordering a second pair in the 8 W in a different color and see how those fit.

I really love these shoes. I'd been eyeing them for about 9 months before I finally received a pair for my birthday. I was bummed that I couldn't wear them immediately because, even though I'm an incredibly consistent size 9, my toes bumped the ends of these shoes. I had to exchange for a 9.5 which, to be honest, was a longer and more complicated process than it should be - has to be completed in 2 transactions, have to wait for the returned pair to be processed, etc. I didn't get the satisfaction of wearing my new birthday shoes until almost a month after the fact. And when I did receive my new shoes in a 9.5, they had a big scuff on the back left reflection panel :( I wasn't about to attempt the hassle of another return process, but I was bummed that my dream shoes arrived in less than perfect shape after all that anticipation. That being said, they're even more comfortable and supportive than I'd hoped for, and I look forward to wearing them for a long time.

I like this shoes I bough the black color but they're more blue than black!

Love this colour. It is generally comfortable but size really does run small(0.5~1cm) as compared to other size 5 from New Balance. This one fits too perfectly without any allowance around the feet. With the socks, it is even tighter.

This is a decent shoe that comes in some fun colors but it is no 990. I can tell the qualitative difference in construction. The tongue of the shoe came folded weirdly so I have to make a conscious effort to straighten it out before I put it on so I can wear it without it feeling off. It also has a stub-toed feeling to it. Overall it is a decent shoe to add to your wardrobe but I don't know if it will stand the test of time.

Super comfy. Love the old school look. Wish it had better traction and a heel loop to pull on rather than having to wiggle my foot in (breaks down the heel faster).

Bought these in a 6 1/2, tight in the toe, gave them to my niece who has a size down from my normal size 6. Bought this pair in a 7, a bit roomy in the toe but no other choice. This pair is blue/gray, I have them in a green/beige in 6 1/2 and a good fit. Not sure why they are not same in size but love the look of this shoe.

This shoe is very supportive. I love New Balance shoes because I replace the insoles with my custom orthotics. The only trouble with these shoes is the tongue rolls up on the side as I slide my foot inside.

Bought as a gift for a manager in retail, she loves them.
