My feet hurt at the end of the day. I returned them a week ago. I ordered another pair. I hope to receive them soon.

Come on HOKA! I love the shoes but you need to do something about the sole material. I have been wearing my latest pair for two weeks and the soles are already wearing down. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE these shoes but I can't afford to replace them as frequently as needed. As someone with previous foot and hip problems (yeah, I am a runner), I need a solid shoe I can rely on.

I walk 20-25 miles a week at a brisk pace and needed a very stable, supportive shoe. These are my first Hoka shoes and I was excited to try them. I needed to put an orthotic in one of them and the first couple of weeks involved pain in strange spots on both feet but I resolved them through various adjustments on the laces. However, after only a month, the soles began to show signs of wear and after two months it is quite excessive. The heel portion on one shoe is peeling off. The shoes still help my hip and I can walk longer distances without pain, but I think they should wear better given the cost. I would give a very qualified recommendation to a friend.

So bummed. I have the original Arahi and they were wonderful for my plantar fasciitis. This condition makes my heels hurt all the time. The original Arahi held my heels up higher than the middle and front of my foot, so it really alleviated that pressure from the heels. The Arahi2 seem to tilt backward for me, so that the toe and the arch are higher than the heel. This means that there is more pressure on my heel with the Arahi2 which entirely defeats the purpose of this shoe for me. I hope that Hoka One One will listen to the reviews and go back to the original design that seemed to be preferred by most reviewers.

I really wanted to like these shoes. My podiatrist recommended this brand. Unfortunately, the heel was actually LOWER than the rest of the shoe (unlike the photo)causing me to fall backwards. Very odd.

My podiatrist recommended the Hoka Ahari because I have high arches and was having issues. I love the sneaker but the treads at the top of the sneaker's sole have separated from the sneaker after only 4 months. I would have expected more longevity for the price I paid. I called Hoka but since I bought them at a shoe store (Marathon Sports, arguably Boston's best running store, and didn't save the receipt-who saves a receipt for sneakers after wearing them for three months???-I was out of luck. My Asics never had this problem after much more use and abuse. Beware of questionable quality.

They are akward, the heels were heavier than the rest of the shoe.

I bought these because my original Arahi's wore out. I absolutely loved the original Arahi's, and I really wanted to love these shoes. I tried for two weeks and I had to bring them back. They feel nothing like the first ones. The sole on the first was very cushy. These feel like rubber. I am trying the Gaviota's now, and like them but not as much as my other Arahi's. Please bring back the original Arahi.

I absolutely loved the original Arahis. This version is way different - heavy padding under the balls of my feet. It wasn't what I expected. I returned these and bought a different Hoka model in-store. Still adore Hoka, just going to switch to a different model!

This is not plush and cushioned like the original Arahi. How I wish I bought a few pairs of that shoe! Tried this on, thinking it would be about the same. As soon as I stood up I could tell it was not. I did not purchase.

If you loved the Arahi 1 do not buy this shoe. Its stiff, the tongue is too short and your heel does not lock in. Its torally changed from the original.

This is my fourth pair of Hokas and my third pair of Arahi but my first pair of Arahi 2. They changed the way they make this shoe. It now cuts into the top part of my left foot. When I run in them it rips the skin off the top of my feet. I'm very disappointed because I loved this shoe and the cushion it provides to my bad knee. That said, I'm going to be returning this pair and going back to my Brooks which I wore for 10 years before switching to Hoka.

These shoes were recommended to me at a local Garry Gribbles store because I was looking for a shoe with good cushion and support. They were a bit different in construction from what I was use to, but I thought they seemed more stable and the sales person said my gait looked my stable in them. He never said anything about taking a period of time to get used to them.
I started using them in my normal workout routine... One week after I bought them, I couldn't hardly walk due to a variety of stress injuries involving one knee and my feet... I was down 10 days. I was told by a physical therapist, ortho clinic and my regular doctor, that there was a good probability the problems (PAIN and limited mobility) I was experiencing was due to the new shoes . "Shoes can do that and nothing else in your routine changed."

So disappointed with these shoes. I purchased these as a gift to my mother, two weeks in to training for a marathon and the bottoms are already coming apart. not even 50 miles into the shoes and coming apart! she loves they was they feel on here feet, but the quality just isn't there. She was planning on buying a second pair. Glad we found out before marathon day!

I was looking forward to these shoes because I had heard such good things about them. I wore them for a week and the knees got worse while the back was some better.

I need cushion and stability that was perfect with the original Arahi that provided the comfort needed with numerous injuries and allowed me to chase running a half marathon in all 50 states. Out of options now. Poor choice to change the design Hoka.

I run 6 days a week, indoors and out, 2-6 miles usually was looking for a light flexible stability show, these were hard and clunky, and very uncomfortable. I had arahis before, I liked them even though I burned through them rather quickly. But they they were very comfortable.
