First of all I'd like to say I LOVE my Arahis...when I first get them, and for several months afterward. That said, I feel like they 'break down' way too fast for what I'm paying for them. Before a year is even up, I've had 2 pair (this is going to back to the original Arahi) suddenly become unwearable due to onset of knee, hip, and back pain. If I change to a different shoe, the problem goes away. I'm not wearing them all day every day, nor am I wearing them to run (or walk) miles a day. The shoes are worn at first to the Y where I walk a mile or two or use the elliptical. Sometimes I may wear them to work, where I have a desk job. After a couple of months, and an older pair of Arahis starts causing me pain, I buy a new pair for the Y and use the previous Y pair for slipping on to walk the dog or go to the grocery store. I was wondering if others have had the same experience. It is very disappointing to spend that much money to only have them become painful to wear in months. They are the most comfortable shoe going for me when they are new, but the issue I'm having with them becoming uncomfortable way too fast is making me to not want to buy another pair.

I need stability shoes for overpronation, but the soles are way too stiff on these. I walked around in the house only for a little bit, and it was an immediate nope. The soles felt so hard.

Arahi 2 is quite different than the original model. The arch support seems like it’s too far back on my foot. I don’t know if going up a half size would help. So sad - been wearing the original model for quite some time. Another case of changing something that didn’t need changing.

My podiatrist wants me in Hokas. i have ordered so many pairs to try and find 2 to 3 pairs. This is what I have learned. I wore a 9.5 or 10 wide. In Hoka I am 10.5 wide and many are just not wide enough when you have foot issues. I love the brand but having trouble. I did find that Gaviota has a wider toe box and if you try a mens wide that is one width wider than the womens wide. Hope this helps. I hope Hoka is working on wider shoes in general.

one shoe seemed a bit shorter than the other...good arch support - which I wanted but sadly had to return.

Love the width and length of the Hokas, but the arch hits me too far back on my foot. Just the wrong last I think. Also, that sold color (blue) just accentuates the size of a large foot!

Someone needs to tell Hoka to bring back Arahi 1. It was an amazing shoe and permitted me to run with no foot pain. This Arahi 2 is not nearly as comfortable and it also doesn't provide as much cloud-like lift-off as the Arahi 1. I've only done a few short runs in it so far, so maybe I'll adjust, but right now I'm afraid that my foot and knee will ache terribly if I do a longer run in this shoe. Thank goodness I didn't throw out my Arahi 1 yet! It's SO annoying when a company changes anything about a running shoe other than the color (which I really don't care about in a running shoe)

I used to be a Brooks only runner then after having hip bursitis I switched to Hoka Clifton. I had ran in several pairs of Cliftons and was excited when Arahi came out with a little more stability. I loved the Arahi 1's but have really struggled with the Arahi 2. They feel narrow and hurt the sides of my feet. The cloth inside of the heal has has completely worn down, which I have never had happen with Hoka sneakers. Why did you change such a good thing? It's time for new sneaks and I have absolutely no idea what I will end up but sadly it won't be another pair of Arahi as long as they stay as is.

I had the original Arahi and thought Arahi 2 would be the same. Not true at all. I ended up with blisters on the top of my foot, even though the size and other dimensions were the same. I loved the original and bragged it up to everyone. I said I could hardly keep up with them as we went down the street!

I ran in mine twice and have gotten two different blisters from them. I am not sure if they are the wrong type of shoe or size for me. They are very comfortable. I really wish they would of worked out! I was super excited about them and fell in love with them when I received them. But after my run I was disappointed.

I LOVED the original Arahi, so I figured I would love the Arahi 2 just as much. However, I've tried 2 separate pairs, thinking the first one was just defective, but am still having the problem. The tongue is so short that if I pull it up as high as possible, it bunches on the top of my foot and rubs really bad, but if I just leave it be, it is constantly hitting/digging into the top of my foot/front of my ankle which has resulted in bruising. I ran a half marathon in them a few weeks ago and the front/top of my foot bruised to where I could barely wear ANY lace up shoes for nearly a week. That's my only complaint, but it's a big enough issue I may be switching to a different shoe completely, which makes me sad as I loved the original so much.

I bought these as a first time try. They are a wider shoe than I like. I actually have to make myself wear them. Not nearly as comfortable as my Brooks transcends. I don't really like the style either. I probably won't be buying another pair.

Hoka brand was recommended to me for great walking support. After reading several reviews, I wanted to try a few of the different styles so I could find the pair that worked best for me. Although the support is awesome, these are a bit narrow and irritated my right arch. Thank you Zappos for such a great return policy so I can find the perfect pair!!

I bough a pair of Arahi's back in September 2017 and they are by far the best running shoes I've owned. I had a pair of Conquest before that, and I liked them, but LOVED my Arahi's so much more. Sadly, they 'upgraded' them to the Arahi 2. I tried a pair on yesterday and I'm very sad. The Arahi woked so well for my narrow and low volume feet. I had zero issues with my Arahi's and just want the same pair again. :( I bought the Mach's - wore them yesterday and will most likely be returning them but am going to give them one more try. They might just be too different from my Arahi's for my taste. Still a great shoe. Love HOKA!

The salesboy at Heartbreak Hill really pushed these shoes, but I am not loving them. They are a stability shoe, which I really don't need, so I am feeling some pain running in them. I feel like I am fighting these shoes. They also feel clunkier than the Bondi or the Clifton. I will try to wear them for shorter runs after my marathon is over, but they are not a great match.

I had the original Arahi and the turnover was great the support was great but the shoe was too narrow in the toe. I was very excited for the first couple of runs in the Arahi 2 as the overall fit is wider and more spacious. However, the shoe doesn't have the speedy feel of the original Arahi and I often feel like my feel are slapping against the ground. This I can live it because I like the support and the responsive cushioning. BUT, one thing that is a constant annoyance is the position of the laces/lace holes relative to how to show bends when you run and when the laces are secure. There seems to be an extra set of holes compared to the original Arahi and the way they are positions so close together near the toes leaves a constant pressure/irritation on top on my foot over my 5th metatarsal bone. I have tried gap lacing, skipping one or two of the lace holes, but skipping two leaves the shoe too lose; skipping one is better but it is constant and by the end of a long run it feels very tender. I don't understand the logic behind the position of the laces at all and I am certain I am not the only one with this issue.

Do not like the new style. Very disappointed. My last 2 the arahi 1 were so much more comfortable. The arabi 2 shoe hurts my foot so bad after my 12+ hr shift that I can hardly walk.

Owned 2 pairs of the original arahi, both were fantastic out of the box with little break-in time required. I needed a replacement pair and ordered the arahi2 without hesitation. Honestly, these do not feel good on my feet. The narrower fit makes my feet feel confined and the area around the lacing causes sore spots on the top of my feet. I'm not sure if additional break-in time will help or if I should just return them. Very disappointed.

Shoes are very pretty and don't seem to scuff up. I feel like I can't get them laced up correctly, as they always seem loose, but I know they are not too big.The arch doesn't seem to be in the right place for the comfort of my foot. Also, they squeak a lot. Not sure I'm what you would say, real happy with them.

This brand definitely feels narrower than other shoes I've worn/tried on. I usually wear a medium, but every medium I've tried on has been far to narrow for my feet. Unfortunately, the shoes that I like or seem as though they would fit well do not come in a wide or the wide is out of stock. :(

i normally love Hoka Arahi, but the Arahi 2 is way too narrow in the toe area. Just do not feel they have the support that I am used to with Hoka.
