I loved my original Arahis and hoped these would be just as supportive and comfy. I was so disappointed. These provide much less cushion, though the support is there. My feet were barking during my treadmill test run. These are going back. Luckily, I managed to snag a pair of the previous model. What happened, Hoka?!?

The stability for pronation on this shoe is amazing! I so badly wanted these to fit! With a morton's neuroma on an extra wide foot I am in pain in short order if the toe box isn't wide enough. Add to that a fallen arch on the SAME foot and you have a recipe for disaster. I was really hoping for something different, but alas, I need an extra wide shoe. Back to New Balance and Brooks...the same ol' same ol'... Oh for the days of no foot issues!

I work in retail on a concrete floor for 40 plus hours and average 7 miles a day during the week and these shoes are like walking on a cloud.

I ordered the Bondi 6 and the Arahi 2 at the same time. So I could really see and feel the difference between the 2 styles. Here's what I observed: 1. The Bondi had superior sole cushioning, indeed like walking on a tempurpedic mattress. The Arahi was much stiffer and harder-soled. My feet didn't sink into the Arahi like they did with the Bondi. 2. The Arahi had a wider forefoot and heel cup. The Bondi had a bit narrower forefoot, but the heel cup was a bit narrower which did a better job of hugging my narrow heels. 3. The Bondi is a deeper shoe, meaning it hugs the foot better overall. The Arahi didn't feel like it encompassed and cradled my entire foot as well as the Bondi. 4. When laced up, the Bondi tongue rides up closer to the shin than the Arahi. That could be an issue for some folks. The verdict. After walking a lot in the house in both models, I decided to keep the Bondi and return the Arahi. While I did like the added support of the Arahi, my tender feet need the fantastic sole cushioning that the Bondi provides if I need to wear them for longer than an hour or two. I also need the deeper, narrower heel cupping of the Bondi to keep my heels from slipping. On one foot, my heel nearly comes right out of the Arahi no matter how tight I lace them. I do wish the Bondi were just a tad bit wider in the forefoot. I ordered the wide in both models and the Arahi was wider and had a bit more arch support; that was my favorite aspect of the Arahi. But even with the slightly narrower Bondi, all the other superior aspects won me over in the end. I'm hoping that in time the Bondi forefoot upper or sole will relax a bit to be perfect. I plan to only wear them during a work out, so won't have them on all day. My feet have had several surgeries and are super, super finicky, and also have very little padding on the balls of my feet, so I've given up on finding the "perfect" shoe. But I have come to realize that I need at least, extreme cushioning, a wide forefoot, and narrow heel - tough conditions to fulfill in one pair of shoes. The Bondi delivers on 2.5 of the 3. Not bad. The Arahi delivered only on 1 of these conditions - a wide forefoot. Not enough to keep them. I also order 3 pair of New Balance, so will test them against the Bondi 6. I hope to end up with one pair of the super-cushioning Hoka (Bondi 6), and one pair of a bit more supportive New Balance.

These are providing excellent arch support for me and are super comfortable, better than my previous motion control shoes. They run narrow: I had to buy a wide size, which is not something I normally need in running shoes. Are they big and clunky looking? Yes. Do my feet care? No!

Needed the 1/2 size down to make this work. Felt nice and stable. Had a good amount of arch support.

Sadly these shoes did not last me 4 months before they gave out and my hip and lower back and shoulder on my left side were in pretty bad shape...over night! I wear custom orthotics and had a decent experience with these until last week. For the price, I think they should be made of components that will last more than 4 months. Don't spend money on these. There must be something else that will fit the bill for someone like me that will be supportive, comfortable and will last. Not a winner....

My first pair of HOKA and I really like them. I just wish they had some black and pink colors. They seem comfortable but sometimes after I wear them I get a cramp in my foot. Maybe the arch is to big for me?

I loved my original Arahi's. When I first tried the Arahi 2 I noticed a serious reduction in cushion. I tried other Hoka styles and other brands, but found that the support of the Arahi 2 was still the best, and the shoes are very lightweight. Adding more cushion unfortunately adds weight so the Arahi 2 is the best compromise. I bought an extra pair just in case they change this model again.

This would have been my 4th pr of Hokas, I love them. First time with wide fitting, I have wide feet, but these were very wide, and long. I will have to return and get a smaller size overall. May have to go with M width..I normally wear th Clifton’s..but feel I need a little more support so thought I’d try another Hoka.

Each pair is good for about 500 miles. I wear them walking, hiking, shopping and chasing grandkids. Seven medium is my size and the fit is perfect for me through the arch and toe bed.

Love the W Arahi 2 shoe! I have a narrow foot and it works, but I can't wear the W Araki 3 because the top is too wide. Please make the toe box like the Arahi 2 again!

I run on a treadmill with these, and although they are very heavy, they are great at stabilizing my strides. So no more shin splints!! However, not for the gym. Shoes are so big they get caught in foot plates.

I have heal spurs and have trouble with my feet for years.... I bought my first Arahi 2, not knowing which shoes I needed, and I loved them. No heal pain at all !! So now, knowing I needed a new pair, I looked for another pair and they were hard to find. Especially in colors that I liked. I think the Arahi 2, is more durable than the Arahi 3, don't know that yet, but this year I bought both. So we'll see! I am not a runner, but for everyday wear, they're awesome.
