Love Hoka One One! Wanted to try the Arahi 2 because they seemed to have a wider toe box than the Bondi 5s I presently have, and because they are designed for overpronation. However, they are much lighter and didn't seem to have the same cushioning my Bondi 5s have. I have "horrible" flat feet and wear a substantial orthotic with them and really need extra support and cushioning. Unfortunately, I had to send them back, but will continue to look for one that gives the same support as the Bondi 5, but with a wider toe box.
I'd also recommend:

My main problem with this shoe is the toe box is too narrow. The outside of the shoe comes up a little too high for my liking, but the biggest problem is the toe box.

They run a little big. I always wear running shoes size 8.5. this time they felt a little too big so I ordered size 8, they felt great, but not the right size for running, so I'm keeping my 8.5 shoes. The difference between sizes 8 and 8.5 feels bigger than usual.

I really enjoy this shoe. Full Disclosure--this is my first running shoe as I am just now beginning to jog. Before this shoe, I was just jogging in a shoe that is really just for yoga so it was incredibly uncomfortable to run in. Compared to that, this shoe is amazing. My only complaint is that the tongue is so short that it falls down easily and can be uncomfortable. I would say this this could easily be a deal breaker for some people.

I really wanted to like Hoka Ones because of their incredible arch support and the fact that they offer a wide toe box coupled with a not-so-wide heel. Unfortunately, what sounded perfect didn't work. Even though I tried them in several sizes and styles, the amazing arch support always hit me a little too far back on my foot. Perhaps I'll try one more in half a size shorter. An aside: wish they'd use more interesting contrasting laces. Most of the shoes available in my sizes were just solid boring blue blue blue.

I use them on the treadmill, road & trail. Really like the cushion and spring in these shoes! I ran a 5k with them right out of the box with no pain in my arthritic toes, but I may need them a tad wider in the toe box, my feet felt "tight" in the toes. I tried going up a 1/2 size to accommodate this last time, but they were too big. Also wish these came in lighter, bright colors like your more popular shoes. Small selection of colors, and they are pretty dark.

I'm running regularly in these shoes and it's wonderful. They are super comfortable and I really enjoy running in them. The only issue that I have is that I find the left arch support can rub a bit on my foot, but if I wear thicker socks it doesn't seem to be much or a problem.

I love love this shoe. My first pair is exceptional. I got another pair and the sizing was really wonky and then the third pair was so tight at the outside of the shoe that it ended up making me twist my ankle just walking. I love Hokas and have over 10 pair but the sizing and fit is not consistent. That said this shoe is amazing when you find one that fits you right.

I purchased these based on a review in a different brand sneaker review. I have never heard of this brand but I was desperate to find an alternative to New Balance. 2018 is not a good year for New Balance. I wear an Arizona brace/boot due to an ankle injury and need a shoe with good stability and equally important is the ability to fit the brace into the shoe. I purchased a 10.5 wide which my standard size. The Hoka fit perfectly after removing the insole on the one foot and adding a lift to the other to equal them out. I feel very secure in these shoes. They are comfortable across the midsection and in toe box. The tongue has adequate padding. My only complaints are design color and pattern and shoe laces are a little too short. If Hoka One One reads this, please add a pink and a light blue to your colors. :)

I have never owned a pair of Hokas before but due to a very bad case of plantar fasciitis, I decided to give them a try. First of all, I wear a 71/2 in everyday shoes but have always worn 81/2 in running shoes. When I ordered these, I got 81/2 but they were too big and I returned for an 8 which fits perfect. As soon as I put the shoes on, I have no pain in my heel which is HUGE!!! When I run, my arches are supported which is important since I over pronate. In all, I’m very happy I purchased these and would recommend.

I wear these shoes when I am going to be on my feet for most of the day. . I don't think the cushioning is as good as my Arabi 1. The cushioning just isn't there.

I love the color and the shoes but I feel like last years Ahari 1 was much more comfortable on my plantar fasciitis, this one seems to hurt my arches a bit more. The last years model I could wear all day and not aggravate my plantar but I don't feel this years is as comfortable. I wish I could still purchase the last year model. I had no idea after a year they would be gone but for now will see how these do.

My whole family has Hokas, and loves them. Wear them every day for over a year now. (I can't remember what they are - I know they aren't One Ones though.) I bought these in October (almost 8 months ago, but not quite) because of how much the rest of the family loves theirs. Sadly, the treads on the bottom of the shoe came off about 2 months ago. My husband has gorilla-glued them back on twice already, but within days they peel off again. I'm used to sneakers lasting *at least* a year - with my New Balance and Nike shoes I usually buy that's what I get. But these didn't even last 6 months before we had to start repairs. (FTR, I wear them around the house and on grocery trips - I broke my ankle last year, and still can't do a lot of heavy movement on my foot, so it's not like I was running them into the ground.) They ARE comfortable, and they are very pretty shoes. I had to buy a size up, because these feel pretty tight at the size I normally wear (I wear 8's, but I had to buy 9's for them to fit me.) I just wish they were made better.

I tried these but never really liked the way they felt. I much rather wear Brooks ghost for comfort and support.

I bought a wide size 11D. Fit was still too narrow but length-wise the shoes were too long. Hoka has an updated version just released which is suppoed to be a bit wider in forefoot so may try that one. These Arahi 2 shoes were returned.

The top of the shoe is either too tight or to stiff or the seams stick out too much- can’t really tell what the problem is but it irritates my foot. I really needed this to work so I put a piece of gorilla tape over it and that makes it tolerable. Other than that issue, the shoe works really well. It’s stable and stiff-soled and lets me keep running- and that’s the whole point!!!

I have gone through several pairs a few have had no issues but most have the camps exposed which cause severe blistering on the tops of my feet. I finally gave up trying to return and exchange them out and just put padding and duct tape over them. However I feel like that's not something I should have to do. Hope the new models don't have this issue.

I've had 2 pair of the Arahi original and was hoping the Arahi 2 would be the same. I found them stiff and had less cushion. I talked to Hoka and I think I'll try the Gaviota next time. They do still have the support I needed. Maybe they will loosen up a bit after wearing.
