I really liked this shoe since it gave solid stability, excellent pronation control, and just enough cushion. Even with my custom insert the heel still fit nicely. I usually wear a Brooks 10W and the 10W in these gave me the same fit. The reason I had to return them is I didn't read the description closely and missed the statement "ideal for runners with higher volume feet ". The shoe has a lot of extra width/material in the instep area and I didn't have the support I needed above the arch. So..... if you have a 'high volume foot', not just a wide foot, I highly recommend this shoe. If Asics would just drop the synthetic overlay (near the big & little toe) and switch to a printed design, I would be able to wear several of their shoes!

I have flat feet with severe overpronation, which makes it difficult to find my balance for proper form when weightlifting. These shoes are great, they give me plenty of stability and don't squeeze my feet.

I wear an extra wide shoe because of my bunions. I also have over pronation problems, so needless to say, I have problems finding shoes that fit and feel good. My first pair of these shoes I ordered in a 6.5, and they only came in wide, so they didn't have enough toe room. I sent them back (Zappos is GREAT on returns), and ordered a size 7 wide. Wow, these shoes are great! I work out in them and so far I am well pleased, not only with the shoes, but with Zappos also. This company's service is BETTER than Amazon.

I have been wearing Gel Foundation running shoes since my podiatrist recommended them to help with a nasty case of plantar fasciitis several years ago. These shoes are great to run in, provide ample support and stability, and look nice too. The update is as good as the prior version, and I have had no problems with them since I began using them 10 or so runs ago. What's more, my plantar fasciitis is a thing of the past, and I have been running pain-free.

Very comfortable with great arch support. I am on my feet for 12 hours and need a great supportive shoe. These fit the bill.

I ordered an 8W. This is the first ascic I didn’t have to up another half size on. I measure a 7 but had been wearing and 8.5 in asics. These feel like I could be comfortable in a 7.5. I like my running shoes with a little extra toe room. The width is perfect and I have really wide feet. They look nice and they feel good too. I’m tempted to buy another pair for when these wear out.

Great heel and arch support!

When I got these, I liked them ok, but all the tags were already taken off. They didn't look like they'd been worn, but I really like to take the tags off myself when I pay upwards of $100.00 for shoes. When the tags are gone it just feels like buying used.

They came with no tags.

I really like the support and snug heel. I usually buy extra wide shoes because of my bunions, but these shoes only come in wide. I recommend to anyone who has bunions and needs an extra wide toe box, buy these in a half size larger.

I have worn Asics for years. Recently, I had bought Asics GT 2000, and it was okay. I didn't have as much room in the toes and there was not a lot of cushion. I had ordered the Gel-Foundation 13 a long long time ago, and thought I would give them another try. I will NEVER go back. I LOVE this shoe!! It has a lot of cushion in the heel. I have flat feet, and wear orthotics. I was able to insert them, and still feel I had room to breathe and my feet were instantly comfortable in them. No problems whatsoever. Please, Asics, do not stop making this type of shoe because it has been the only one where my feet feel fantastic. If you have overpronation problems, I would highly recommend this shoe.

I wanted to love these shoes. They felt so comfortable. If you have a normal B foot with average volume, these may be a good choice. My heel is just too narrow for them.

These sneakers felt comfortable right away. I like the extra room in the toe box. I have worn Brooks for many years and found these to be even more comfortable.

I have had the gel foundation for years and have been very happy with everything the shoe had. I have a bone on bone ankle and needed lots of cushioning. Got the gel foundation 13 and found they have LESS cushioning in the sole and around the ankle, which I was very disappointed with. Also the arch in left shoe feels higher than the right one which causes pain at that area on my foot. Will be returning and not getting another pair.

I had previously been using Brooks adrenaline GTS shoes for exercise, but decided to try these because they were discounted. These fit true to size and offer excellent support. I have flat and wide feet so finding a pair of running shoes that work for me isn’t easy, but these are great.

I’m on a quest for the perfect running shoe. I’ve now tried 9 pair from Zappos - thanks for making it so easy! - and I’ve newrly settled on ASICS. I tried out the ASICS GT1000 yesterday, and today tried these Foundations. I feel like for more, with a bad R knee from a skiing injury, and consequently a L foot compensation issue, these provide an ideal amount of stability and support without feeling clunky. I’m quite happy with these. :-)

Asics size 11 W is perfect for my feet. I am a true 10 1/2, so I'm guessing one should order a half size up when purchasing Asics shoes. Comfortable right out of the box. I tried Nike and Brooks in 11 W. Neither fit comfortably, neither was made with the same attention to quality. Asics will remain my athletic shoe of choice.

Bought these because I suffer from plantar fasciitis and the arch support is great. They’re comfortable and sturdy.

I have stability issues and selling. These shoes have given me hope. I feel stronger and can walk more easily. Also, the lower back pain has eased. Great shoes.

Am loving this shoe. I have wide, very flat feet and overpronate. I only wear Vionic brand shoes, anything else requires my custom orthotics. My tennis shoe has been New Balance for the past 4-5 years. The newest style is so ugly, I decided to try these. My custom orthotics fit very well in this shoe (after I took out the removable footbed). The support is great and feels amazing. I'm very impressed!
