Customer Reviews ASICS GEL-Nimbus® 20

I am a long-time customer of ASICS running shoes. I like ASICS for their quality, comfort, and durability over other brands of running shoes. I have excellent experience with ASICS Kayanos, Nimbus, GT-1000s, and GT-2000s. However, I was not pleased with the GEL-Nimbus 20. The liners are starting to wear excessively after only 3 weeks of use. I only wear these shoes to walk and run when I am not wearing my dress shoes for work and formal events. I do not wear these shoes all day and every day. I never experienced this issue with any other pair of running / athletic shoes from ASICS or another brand (e.g. New Balance or Nike). In fact, this is the second pair of ASICS GEL-Nimbus 20 I ordered and received from Zappos. I returned the first pair to Zappos for the same reason (i.e. excessive liner wear after less than 4 weeks of use). This is not the quality and durability I experienced and expect from ASICS. I am only using these pairs for walking and running, not mountain climbing or Spartan Run obstacle courses.

Wish I would have listened to other reviews. I have been buying gel ASICS for 4 years and my 4 yr old shoes have more padding than these 20’s. Have to buy new inserts hope they work.

My husband has ordered Asics 10.5 for years and this is the first time they are tight and do not fit. I wonder if they change their sizing. Will not order again. I ordered another pair as well and the same issue, narrower than normal.
