I had 2 pair of 19s which I loved so after I put 400 miles on the last pair I bought a pair of 20s. My 19s had more cushion after 400 miles then the 20s did brand new. Also, I wear a size 12 4e and the 20s are narrow and slippery. I've now got about 300 miles on this pair of 20s and they just aren't' holding up. Really disappointed, I'm looking for a new running shoe, something I really hate doing. I sure hope the 21s are better.

Please, get back to 17! The best nimbus ever! After 17 version nimbus got a bad fit to run.

RE: T800N Vietnam, size 13US. F451117 PV.
Fit is inconsistent. My right foot fits perfect. My left foot is loose and rubbing the soles of my foot.
I'm 51, very athletic, and have never had a size problem between feet. Could be a defect?
Further, the pads of both feet burn when standing. Both heels also feel like they are at the wrong angle. My heels ache over night. After wear, I am looking at the heels to see if the exoskeleton is consistent between feet.
My comparative reference is my first pair of Asics purchased 6-9 months ago in Washington DC. T6A3N Vietnam. size 13US. F820816 FV. Those shoes fit great and were consistent over many months.
To Asics: I'd appreciate a recommendation of shoe I can purchase in Thailand.

I've been wearing the asics numbus model for years, going back to version 11. I've always loved the fit and incredible cushioning. Asics really messed up the sizing on version 19 as was pointed out by numerous reviewers. I generally wear a medium width (and sometimes even a narrow in certain shoes) and had to go to a 4E width on version 19 for it to feel comfortable. I was very excited when version 20 was supposed to have an improved fit and was hoping it would feel like my previous versions. I do agree that version 20 is not as tight as version 19 (which was unwearable) but it still does not fit right in my opinion. I usually am a 15 D, and this size still feels way too tight particularly in the toe box. My toes are jamming against the edges of the shoe and feel compressed. My heel also feels as if it is crossing over the back edge of the foot bed making me think the shoe is too narrow. I tried on the 15 2E (although I've never had to wear a wide shoe in my life) - it felt a bit better in the toe area but the rest of the shoe feels just that - too wide. On the positive side, it is a lightweight shoe with very good cushioning. If one is able to go up a 1/2 size I would definitely suggest this. That's a problem however when you are a size 15 and there is no size 15 and 1/2 (only a size 16 which is way too big.) Overall, there are some positive aspects to the shoe but in my opinion the sizing is still way off and nothing like all the previous models I've come to adore. I'll be trying on other brands now for sure.

I have this shoe since June and the bottoms have already been worn out. I just use them to walk to work.

With each nimbus release quality degrading and price increases. Awful!! As this continues Several ASICS loyalist started looking for alternatives brands with better product: price. Shoe/ Sole gets worn out in couple of months.

I have run in the GEL-Nimbus for approximately 10 years. My last pair was the Nimbus 18. I understand the shoe has undergone a redesign since then. The new design has changed the feel of the shoe completely. The toe box is very narrow and tight. I am a true size 13 and this shoe is too small. I would need to try a size 14 but fear that will be too big.

I have worn the asics nimbus starting with version 15 which was so awesome. I miss those they were soft and outstanding to run in. I bought 2 pairs. I have noticed with each version starting with 17 they are not the same shoe and especially the cushion at the front of the foot has changed. The 20's after a few light workouts were hurting after about 1.5 miles. I don't have a choice I need to find something else. These are my last pair.

I think they are good sneakers but too tight I am a 13 4e so that's what I ordered and they are a little to tight not only in length but in width

I have worn this series since the Nimbus 12s. Honestly Asics should scrap the new developments and go back to the Nimbus 17. That was the best shoe they ever developed. Everything now feels cheap and does not fit as well.

The bottom of my feet is swollen and my toes hurt. I am a 9.5 and I wish I had bought a size 10 but I already threw away the box, so I lost $100+.

shoe is both smaller and narrower than published size and width. Causes blisters on my first use. Would not buy this brand again.

Very narrow toe box. My toes on my left foot got numb. Thankfully Zappos customer service is great. I sent mine back and will re-order something else. I have been an Asics user for a while but will be looking elsewhere now.

Been running in a different brand for the past few years, I decided to give the Nimbus another try (ran in previous iteration in the past). After one 10 mile run in the Nimbus 20 on a treadmill, my right heel hurt so bad (plantar fasciitis) I could hardly walk afterwards. Also shoe also had an excessive amount of padding in the tongue and collar making for a strange fit.

I used to only buy ASICS. They were my favorite, 12 4e GT2000 for many years, Cumulus, Foundation Walker Leather. Over a decade in ASICS, but NOT ANY MORE!!!
Comparing my ASICS that I still have from a few years ago, the new 12,5 4E is SMALLER and NARROWER than their old 12 4E. Additionally, I find the super thick foam around the angle area is irritating to my foot as well as causes my heel to rub up and down because it's not being held securely any more.
I now HATE Asics. I didn't need a 12 to become a 11.5 nor a 4e to feel like a 2e. I don't need super thick foam to "fix" what was near perfect before, and I don't need lighter shoes. They used to be plenty light as they were!
No complaints about the style, but did mark down 1 star due to dark grey and black being my choices in a 4e.
I'd also recommend:
Try something different! Brooks, Altra, Hoka, anything except ASICS until they undo their mistakes.

I was super excited about buying these shoes because they were supposed to take my training to the next level, but that did not happen at all. It seemed like I was running in my sandals, the shoes had no real cushion. I have some old 2000 4 that I have been using and those are way more comfortable. I have been wearing Asics since 2007 and this was the first time that a shoe did not meet my expectations, so that is a positive, but I am still very upset about these.

Had a pair of the #15 Nimbus and they were great. I bought the #20 and the bottom of my feet hurt when I wear them for a while. I ran a 10K in them and the bottom of my left foot went numb. I almost never have any issues with shoes. These dont work at all.

I have always loved ASICS as they were the only shoes that fit my feet like they were made for them. ASICS apparently changed their last designs a while ago and now they run very small for size, a full size to size and a half in length and very narrow in width. I have worn a size 11 1/2 med. for 45 yrs. but now according to ASICS sizing, I must wear a size 12 1/2 to 13 wide. I ordered these shoes in a size 12 med. and they weren't even close to fitting, a full 1/2" shorter in length and width than my 2 yr. old ASICS Gel Sendai's in size 11 1/2 med. I reluctantly returned these shoes as they did not have a 12 1/2 wide in this shoe in the color I wanted. I tried a proper sized (11 1/2 med.) in REEBOK and found they fir perfectly, so I must say adios to my beloved ASICS.
I'd also recommend:
REEBOK, Addidas, New Balance.

The shoes are great except for the inner lining which stops in the midle of the foot on both sides and thus the edge rubs against your feet when you run. So this causes irritation and blisters where the sole meets the side of the shoe.
Very disappointing.

Have bought the Gel-Nimbus for years and loved them. This pair looked ok but after wearing once a wrinkle in upper area back heel developed caused blister. 2nd pair ordered did the same.

I used Asics 12, 14, 15, 16 and with last shoes they did something horribly wrong. When I run it just hurts. I do long runs and you can feel the difference in cusioning. Size is also smaller and narrow in compare with oldest versions.
Asics, you do not mess with the sucess, you have destroy perfect running shoes and this will cost you !

Bought them for work and can't get through a shift with my feet hurting for a couple days after. I've gone back to my older cheaper ASICS
