Customer Reviews New Balance 840v4

I really like New Balance sneakers, they fit me well and so buying online is no big deal. I usually wear 880's but I did not care for the new style so after reading the reviews decided to give these a go. My first impression was that there was a lot of supportive padding that rubbed on the back of my heel, however, I got used to it very quickly and it is no longer an issue that I notice. I wear these for mostly walking 4-5 miles a day. They are well made and have a nice wide toe box. I wear Superfeet inserts, however, the insert with these shoes is really cushy so I moved them to another pair of New Balance sneakers I wear for running errands. These sneakers have been very supportive for my planter fasciitis issues and I only gave 4 stars for style because I would of preferred the darker black color, but it was not in stock so I got the gray. Still looks great!

These shoes were perfect out of the box, after swapping out the inserts as I need extra arch support. I love Zappos!

Loved these shoes, can definitly feel the difference for the good with neutral support. Color is great. Normally buy a 7 in New Balance but going to return for a 6 1/2.

This is the 4th pair of 840's that I have bought. I have very difficult feet to fit as I have arthritis and bunions and I wear prescription inserts. I need a wide toe box but "normal" heel, these fit the bill. It was actually recommended by my foot doctor. The stretch fabric allows for room for my bunions. Because I remove the insole and put in my rather substantial insert, I have to order a size bigger than normal, but it works great.

I love NB 840v4 as I have the previous versions of this shoe. The toe box is wide enough and tall enough for my toes and the heel is narrow enough for a woman's foot to stay on and not slip. I have an average wide foot and it is such a comfortable fit in wide. I wear a 7 wide and I get a 7 wide in this NB shoe.

Perfect work out shoes. Love these. They look good and feel good and I could wear them forever. Feel great right out of the box. Nothing whatsoever to criticize. Buy them. Love them.

All in all I am very pleased with these shoes! They are quite versatile in color, and my feet don't hurt at the end of the day (I work in the medical field)! A bonus on both fronts!

These fit perfectly. I first ordered an 8 1/2W which was way too big, even though my previous pair of New Balance shoes were an 8 1/2. Going down to an 8W solved the problem.

I am very very picky about my running shoes and these are awesome! I have a very wide foot and need a lot of arch support and I love these shoes! Thanks!

Love these. Enough room in the toe box to accommodate my bunion. Also the material is soft and doesn’t pull on it either. Shoes feel supportive. My feet feel relieved!

These nice looking shoes make me feel like I am walking on clouds. I have very wide feet so I love the wide and roomy toe box. I use my own orthotics in this shoe, but still plenty of wiggle room. I highly recommend this shoe if you have miserable, complainy feet. I will likely purchase a second pair to ensure I have a back up,

I have plantar fasciitis and I think these shoes are going to help. They seem much more supportive for my feet than other New Balance shoes I have bought in the last few years. I usually put a more cushioned insert in with other shoes I have bought but with these I am holding off. The insole seems cushioned yet supportive.

I LOVE these sneakers. I am on my feet all day as a teacher and mom to two little ones and these are the only shoes that don't end up hurting after a full day. They are a neutral grey so I am able to wear them with all my work pants.

I wear an 8.5 and these fit me nicely. I have plantar fasciitis, so its important to find a shoe that will take my I inserts. They aren't cute little sneakers, but not the big ugly lunch lady shoes I was expecting either. :) Colors are low-key, making them easy to wear with a lot of outfits.
