These shoes are both comfy and stylish with good arch support. They do run about 1/2 size small though.

I had to size up to get a good fit. The toe box seems ok. I will try to update after using them for a few runs.

These shoes run 1/2 size small but they are nice looking and comfortable.

As is the case with most athletic shoes, I went up a 1/2 size from my normal shoe size. I appreciate that New Balance makes narrow sizes, as many other brands do not. These fit and felt great even after walking 4 miles the first day I wore them.

I love this shoe! I’m not a runner but I wear them for walking. I have plantar fasciitis as well as neuropathy. They’re dry comfortable. This is my second pair. I only wish they came in more colors.

This is my 5th pair of 840's (including V3 & V4). I walk a lot so I buy a new pair approximately every 6 months. They are a great fit for me so I keep buying this model. I use an orthotic so a removable insole is a must for me. I had to buy the navy blue ones this time because the dark grey I wanted was out of stock. I will purchase a pair of the grey as soon as you alert me they are back in stock.

I needed to order one size up. The exchange process was a snap, and I am very happy with both these shoes and with Zappos!

I have been searching for shoes that don’t hurt my ankles or feet since developing peroneal tendinitis over 12 years ago from wearing expensive shoes that were not right for my feet. After years of searching, I finally found these about three years ago. I hope and pray they never change these shoes. Except maybe offer more colors in Wide. They run big, but after figuring out my correct size in these, they fit my feet perfectly. They’re the right shape for my feet and have excellent support. I have quite flexible feet and rather high arches, so I add Superfeet Berry inserts to these and the combination is perfection. On their own though, these shoes offer fabulous support. The foam is supportive but comfy, the heel-toe ratio is excellent (VERY hard to find an 11-12mm drop these days which is essential for my condition), and the support foam and outsole aren’t cut away under the arch—this provides stability and support without messing with pronation (shoes too aggressively correcting for pronation is what started my tendon problems). Since changing to these shoes, I have been able to start exercising again! These shoes probably quite literally have saved my life. I no longer get debilitating pain from doing anything on my feet! I even walked the city of Chicago for three full days in these! With no problems!! These shoes are perfect, and I love the colors they have offered since I started buying these. I always have an indoor pair and outdoor pair, and now keep an older pair for muddy outings or trips to the Dr (when I’ll throw them in the wash after), and I’m trying to keep an extra brand née pair on hand in case the worst happens and they change them (please please please don’t change them, NB!) I was wearing a 10D in Brooks Ghosts prior to finding these beauties, and those never fit right. They were always a bit too long and a bit too narrow. A 9D in these is perfect. I LOVE these shoes!!! I will keep buying them always!

I needed more space for my toes and a wider shoe. The higher number on NB shoes are so much better! I could have maybe gone down a half a size, but these still work because I can tie them snug around my ankles. I also have my orthotics in them for extra arch support.

Surprisingly even though this shoe is listed as neutral, I give it an A+ for stability and arch support! I found it to be comfortable. It is a bit heavier than I would prefer, but on cooler days this would not be a problem.

My feet are so big and wide, usually the box fits better! But, these are very comfortable. A wide and deep toe box and lots of padding. Just exactly what I was looking for!

Love these shoes! They are so comfortable and attractive. The narrow width is perfect and the arch support is good. I normally wear a size 81/2; but, from past experience buying NB shoes, I knew that I needed to go up a full size. I bought the two tone grey color, which looks great with everything.

Be specific about your likes and dislikes. How was the fit and size? What does the material feel like? How awesome (or not) do you feel wearing them?

Exactly the generous toe box that I needed for fitting in my orthodic. They look a little clunky, but it's worth it to get the fit, comfort and durability which I require.
