Finally a WOMANS sneaker that is wide enough!

Loved the fit of these shoes. Have narrow feet, size 10, and they were just right. The 940 model felt too wide.

I had the same shoes and the bottom literally fell off. I looked and the shoes were about a year a half years old. I ordered the same shoe and size.

LOVE THESE SHOES!!!!! I have chronic peroneal tendinitis/tendinosis and have been searching for shoes that work for me for 14 years. FINALLY these are it! I was wearing Brooks Ghost (10D) for years and they were okay but didn’t fit my foot right so didn’t work really well for my problem feet. So so glad I found these! I’ve been wearing these now for about a year and a half and they hold up so much better than the Brooks, fit my feet perfectly (size 9D in these) and are so so comfortable. I was even able to scale back on the additional support o put in them, so they are more supportive than the Ghosts. I just put a Superfeet Berry insert in these and I am good to go! Perfect support for all my activities, including dance aerobics! I believe it’s because the base of these shoes covers the entire footprint rather than having the arch area cut away like many running shoes. Hopefully NB will never change these! I even love the color options I’ve been able to get in a D width, though I’d love more choices in that. It seems they only make one color at a time in wide, but at least all the colors they make are really nice (though I always hate black shoes—I thankfully haven’t been forced to get black in these though). These run wide and long, but once I figured out the right size for me, oh my, my feet have been so happy ever since! I hope they don’t even change the sizing because they are perfection!

I have an extremely hard time finding shoes that fit properly. My foot is very wide but average length. I have tried every shoe brand and only New Balance works for me. It has a roomy shoe box (the part of the shoe in front of the ankle) and I have never had blisters on my heal. The foam padding is comfortable and resilient. I have three pair that I rotate. NB are expensive shoes but well worth it if you value comfort!

I have a narrow foot. The toe box has room and my heal does not slip out the back. Very comfortable. Nice support.

I usually wear an 8.5 2E, and this was a little too short and a little too narrow for me. If Zappos had a 9 2E/3E/4E I'd exchange in a heartbeat. They're cute and comfy! If only they fit.

Usually , I need to break in shoes. These felt comfortable from day one!

My shoes are wonderful. This is my second pair of New Balance 840v4. They are perfect. I am looking forward to ordering another pair in a different color when they are in stock. Thank you so much!!!

The reason I tried NB840v4 (size 7, D width) is actually from reading all the comments. I have a problem with wearing out the outside of soles (some call it overpronating but I don't really understand that whole thing). NB840v4 seems to correct that. It's like the design won't allow me to walk on the outside of the soles. I have worn NB forever because it was the only brand to have wide width shoes, but the this 840v4 is the first NB I've bought that addresses my walking problem. Otherwise I have worn out previous NBs out just like any other shoes, always ruining them on the outside sole. I've bought 2 pairs and will continue as colors come up. One more thing, the fabric is breathable and my toes aren't crowded. Others with wide feet will understand what I mean. I'm so happy to have found the NB840v4.

Like most New Balance, one should order a 1/2 size larger for a good fit. Arch support is negligible at best. A word about shoe laces: the shoes came with elastic shoe laces installed that were much too short. To remove, I needed to use pliers to untie the knot at each end and then used the cotton (normal) laces that were also included. And, as usual with NB, these laces were also too short, but just long enough to complete a knot.

These were a great fit right away, wide and deep toe box allows freedom of movement, plenty of space for bunions, decent amount of arch support. What I like a lot about this model is that the heel is snug and fits well for a wide shoe. Super comfy walking. I ordered a 2nd pair to have on hand.

I love, love, love these particular New Balance shoes. I love the fit-put them on right out of the box and wore them all day and they felt like walking on clouds. These are my favorite New Balance shoes as far as comfort, fit, style and color. The price is good too. You can't go wrong with this shoe. I have high arches and wear orthotics and this shoe is by far the best any shoe has felt on my foot. I just ordered 2 more pair of these in case this particular style or color are not available anymore. One happy New Balance customer right here. BTW my podiatrist recommended New Balance shoes for anyone with my particular foot problem (supination of the foot) and with my high arches. He was so right!!!!!

Great fit. Easily transitioned to the shoe. I walk 4-5 miles/day. I needed a wider toe box. I’m very pleased with my purchase.

I’ve owned this model shoe before in a previous version and color, fitted in a shoe store. This was the first time ordering online. My expectations were exceeded! They fit perfect and received them super fast, a day early even. I will order other colors when in stock.

These fit well and are comfortable for walking a couple of miles a day.

These shoes have the toe space and support I’ve always dreamed of. So comfortable.
