These boots look beautiful, glamorous, classy from the outside, though they are stiff throughout. I had a pair in the past and had a cobbler halve the height of the heel and add non-slip to the soles, worked great. (Unfortunately the same cobbler much later lost them in his crowded repair shop.) One replacement pair I ordered had an impossibly stiff zipper, really unwearable (though I didn't try soap or wax or W-D 40) and the other, a half size larger, had a moderately stiff zipper. Returned both pairs.

Beautiful boot but very difficult to zip with the zipper on the back. I don’t want a boot that causes me to break into a sweat just to get them on. I sent them back.

This boot is very wide in the calf - My calf is average but it leaves quite a gap. Returning the boots...

This was going to be my second pair until they decided to change the calf size. Its huge which takes away from the simplicity of the boot. These will be returned.

As much as I wanted to love these boots...I could not manage the zipper. Beautiful boot, amazing leather but impossible to zip up once my foot was in the boot. Sadly, I had to return them.

These boots are BEAUTIFUL! But they are a horrible fit! The leather is VERY stiff & uncomfortable! My foot just barely fit in, but it was extremely tight, narrow & sort! I usually wear a 7 - 7W. I ordered a 7 1/2 and it was still too short & tight! Also, the back zip would not zip up at all, and I do NOT have large nor athletic calves!It was all so uncomfortable that I couldn't even consider taking a step in it! So back these beautiful boots go!

It was not comfortable

Was so excited since I'd read so many good things about Frye. Sadly, I couldn't even get my foot in the boot even with the zipper all the way down. As others mentioned, the zipper was not very smooth, either. Very pretty, but have returned.

I really wanted to love these boots, but couldn’t. Overall was a narrow fit especially with my foot being on the wider side. The zipper is really hard to zip up. I exchanged from my original size of 9.5 hoping the 10 would be a little roomier and maybe zip easier as shaft of the boot is narrower too. However, I did not see a size difference between the 9.5 and 10. Even with the great Cyber Monday price I got, these boots were not worth keeping. They were uncomfortable and annoying to zip up. Leather was beautiful though!

AWFUL! Totally disappointed ! Fit is way off base, especially the calf of the boot.. Loves the color, though curious that Nordstrom doesn’t carry any more?
