I have been a fan of the Mizuno Wave Riders for a long time (since the 14s, I think). I was absolutely blown away by the Wave Rider 20 with the updates they did to them and honestly didn't think that Mizuno could outdo those. Nope. The Wave Rider 21s are everything that I loved about the 20s and more. The fit of them is absolutely amazing - there is enough structure to the shoe but isn't too bulky or heavy. The upgraded heel cushion was exactly what I needed, especially as a heel striker. *Disclaimer: I received a pair complimentary from Fitfluential for my review as well as compensation for my time. All opinions are honest and my own.

It's no secret my love for Mizuno shoes. I've worn numerous "Neutral" running pairs - I'd say these are right up there with my love for the Sayanara's
(sorry but the Sayanara's are my absolute favorite.) The Wave Rider 21's are definitely Comfortable, very much so sustainable, love t the colors, and fitted for my feet. They do not disappoint me!

Mizuno has come a long way from the Wave Rider 18s I used to wear. The Wave Rider 21s fit perfectly and offer just the right amount of cushioning. One of my favorite parts about the shoe, and this may sound odd, is the tongue of the shoe. It has cushioning in it, as well, and it makes them SO comfortable. I've run in other shoes where the tongue dug into my ankle during runs, which gets pretty painful after 10+ miles.
Now Mizuno just needs to make them in more colors!

I've been running in the Wave Rider for years and I really think this one is the best yet. The moment I took my first step of my first run I could feel that this shoe was cushier than ever before. It is super comfortable, and even though it is a neutral shoe I feel supported when I'm running. The only thing that I'm not crazy about is the color. It is a little blander than previous versions, but I'll trade bland for a great running shoe any day. I received this shoe for free as part of a Fitfluential campaign, but all opinions are my own. I've been buying the Waver Rider since version 14, and I will definitely be purchasing the Wave Rider 21 again.

Absolutely love Mizuno Wave Runners. They have been the best running shoes that I have found, especially since I have high arches and a neutral run. These newer version shoes came out and I had to try them. They're really sturdy and allow for the perfect amount of support for my feet. I love them!

I've worn the Mizuno brand in the past and have become loyal because it fulfills everything that I need in a running shoe. I'm proud to say that it's true, the Wave Rider 21 is consistently better than prior styles, but with all of the same features that we love. Plus, it's one of the most attractive running shoes available today, I'm proud to wear them.

I have been running in other Mizuno models and like them a lot, but the wave rider is super comfortable and has become my favorite! I wish there were a few other color options but I'm loving the shoe!

Love these Wave Rider 21 shoes from Mizuno. There was zero break in period, and they fit like a glove right from the start. Incredibly supportive and feel light on my feet. I've worn these for a couple weeks now for treadmill workouts and cross training/weight workouts and they have been great. *I received a pair complimentary from Fitfluential. All opinions are mine.

I cannot remember buying Mizuno in many years...if ever. However, when I tried on the Wave Rider 21 I knew it was a perfect fit for me. I need lots of cushioning and this shoe delivers. It has a stability feel to it that a neutral runner or fitness person will like. The shoe is not sloppy. I bought the shoe, went home and did a 2 hour workout. I will order a different color tomorrow.

The shoes were very comfortable when I first put them on, but after walking two miles I had to stop because my feet hurt. Not enough cushion for walking.

I use my shoes every day and walking. They're really pretty and complement my size 10 feet which is rare. They are not quite as cushiony as my last pair..

These are great running shoes. I've been wearing the 20 and just upgraded to the 21. Lots of cushion and good role, while running. I wish the tie box was a little squarer, though. It tapers just a bit more than I'd like.

This is my scond pair of 21s, perfect neutral shoe for distance day and speed training. Sorta ugly colors tho...but I've never seen a cute running shoe.

They are a little bulkier than the last few I have had, but not by much.
They are still the only ones I will run in!
I didn't get the colour that I selected but that doesn't make or break it for me

I have bony feet and high arches and these shoes did not seem to have enough or as good cushioning as inspire 14.
I'd also recommend:

So sad Mizuno isn't making narrows in this style anymore. It was always my go-to. Liked the color and support but just too wide.

So I think these shoes are pretty darn ugly, but that's not why I'm wearing them. After 6+ months unable to run, a month in a walking boot, and 1000s of dollars worth of medical bills, all due to pain caused by posterior tibial tendonitis (translation: I have super flat feet and it causes a lot of pain), these were the shoes that were recommended for me to get me back on the road. The first pair I tried were a 9, and although they were a tad too large, they fit my orthotics and I wore them out.. which means I've been able to run! I bought these in 8.5 which has been much better. If you have any kind of stability issues, flat feet issues, etc. I'd recommend these. I hate "clunky" shoes (what I call clodhoppers), and while these are clunkier than what I'd prefer to wear, they don't feel too heavy and I've been able to get my mileage up to 20+ miles a week. I will likely just keep buying the Wave Runner from here on out!

Loved the shoe for the most part but definitely need a half size larger. My big toes were right at the end. Very light weight shoe and the grey color was pretty. Wish Saucony still made the shoe I've been wearing for years.

Very good arch support. It is hard to find shoes with really good arch support these do.
The color Baja Blue is very pretty.
Very comfortable shoes

These are great running shoes. They are very supportive and comfortable. I can run my 7 miles pain free. The reason why I gave a 4 star review is because the patriot blue is not blue at all, it's purple and I'm not a fan of purple. Honestly why can't mizuno make these in an all black or heather gray for once?

I have the Mizuno Wave Rider 20 and it was much more supportive, with better materials than what the 21s have. I felt my foot was not supported for its overpronation, which it was in the previous incarnation. I don't know what's going on with Brooks, but the shoes are getting shoddier, with less support and they are butt ugly! What woman wants a silver white with barely any other color alleviating it. These look like my husband's New Balances. It's almost embarrassing to wear them. Anyway, Brooks, better get back to the drawing board. Most of us would rather have a shoe that delivers that is a little more expensive than the constant cheapening of materials and construction. You're not fooling anyone!

Love the shoes, first pair. With that being said I followed the fit finder guide and I wish I would have gone up at least a half size. I ordered the patriot blue thinking it would be blue, not the case at all! Its full on purple people eater purple! They need to disclose the actual color in the description. Its a great shoe, comfortable, lots of support and Cush, wish they would come out with better colors, maybe black or something not so flashy. They have a good product, want toned down color options and better descriptions on what color your actually getting. Other than the purple, I am very happy with my purchase, and will be back......unless another good running shoe comes out with better color options, Im a girl, what can I say :)

I have really long and narrow feet and Mizunos are the only running shoes I have bought for many many years. The last few pairs I have bought were 11 N, so I was surprised when I tried that size on and my toe was hitting the end. I was so happy to find that they did in fact make a 11.5 N, so I got exchanged for those and they fit perfectly. I have never bought a shoe that size in my life (in dress shoes a 10.5 N is perfect but extremely difficult to find so I typically wear a 10 or 11).
