LOVE THEM! The Frye Melissa was exactly what I wanted. The fit is perfect--and they were comfortable right out of the box. I had no difficulty getting them on and off, unlike some other reviewers. The redwood color is as pictured and the boot can be dressed up or down. Nice to get them on sale, too.

I love these boots! So stylish! I purchased a Frye handbag last year in Cognac also and they look fabulous together.

Wow!! Like so many i dreamed of owning Frye boots- then these went on sale. The color is amazing- a little distressed but not too much. no zipper means there is a small struggle getting into and out of them but not bad. I got the extended so i could wear over jeans and they are not tight. If you have big calf's it might be an issue. I also bought a bigger size (in a flat i am 8, i ordered 9 boot) so i could wear socks and add an insole to the boot. Insole makes a HUGE difference. There is no cushion or support in boot. With drug store insole (the one with heal cushion) they are great.

I love everything Frye... The quality of the boot and the leather is always impeccable.

I've had these boots for a few weeks. Now that they've been getting some wear, they are much easier to get on and off. They are very comfortable, and I love wearing them.

Fit is good will take some breaking in, but they are gorgeous!

These boots were hard to pull on and hard to take off, but once on, they are perfect. The fit is good, and they are comfortable for long periods of time. They look very good, and the leather is gorgeous. I am happy with my purchase.

I normally wear an 8.5. These were too big, so I sent them back and got the 8. That size was perfect. I have several pairs of Frye shoes and boots. I love the all, but I’ve found that the sizing isn’t consistent. Frye shoes and boots are so well made and stylish it’s worth the effort to find the right fit.

I have a previous pair of Melissa button boots in size 8.5 from years ago that I absolutely love. I saw these on sale in the Slate color and decided to take a chance. I'm glad I did. They are a rustic, dark brown color and are exactly the same size as my old boots (I'm a size 9 normally, but the 8.5 fit my foot perfectly.) They are difficult to put on, but with a plastic bag my feet slid right in. Luckily I was aware of this ahead of time and just used one the first try. I have athletic calves and they are not too tight and definitely not too loose, which I appreciate. I don't like the look of loose around the calves for me. I love the color-perfect with black, browns, grey, etc. I have a dress dark brown pair, so these were a nice, casual addition to my mix. Zappos delivered The Next Day!!! Very happy with this purchase experience all around!

I had to return them because the right boot was smaller than the left boot.

The fit is amazing fits just like true riding boots. Super happy with purchase.

There is no zipper on these, even though it looks like there might be in the photos, which caused the boot to be difficult to put on barefoot but was no problem with a sock. Couldn’t recommend these gorgeous boots more
