This bag is beautiful; however, after receiving it- I don't think that I would purchase another. The cost is quite high for the bag. The top zipper pouch is very small and hard to use. The shipping took MUCH longer than the 3-7 business days they mentioned at checkout (there was no option for other shipping). I think I got mine 3 weeks from when I placed the order. The packaging of the Hammitt box needs much improvement (purchasing a $375 purse I would have expected the packaging to be a bit more put together and classy).

I have 7 different Hammit bags and I love them. I wanted this bag for so long. Bought and while I love it the suede absorbs everything. The back of my bag is essentially black now. When I went I to the store they told me the suede absorbs colors easily and it's part of the wear. I wouldn't have purchased had I known this. So I would go with a leather versus a suede if you really like the bag and plan to use it. I also never have my purse on the ground. It's across my body or hangs on a hook at house or on front seat when I drive. I did protect it and I condition it regularly.

The handbag is beautiful and unique and designed with quality materials. However, it is extremely heavy to hold and wear. Wishing Hammitt offered a return on there sale merchandise. It would have been nice to have been offered a credit toward another purchase or a refund. I am discouraged from purchasing from their site again.

I was hoping for something as wonderful as my wallet. I can't fit anything in this because it looks more puffy when you add a wallet and keys :(

I have a small VIP and wanted a bigger version. This doesn't seem that much bigger than the small. I'm not crazy about how puffy it is, but I bought it on sale. Instead of having rivets at the bottom of the bag, it's just sewn in little circles, which I didn't notice online. This bag feels wintery because of the puffer jacket thing it has going on. That said, it's a Hammitt, so the leather and hardware are fabulous. If I had it to do over again, I think I would have paid full price for a bag I liked more. I'm still carrying my small VIP that's probably 5-6 years old (or more) and it's still gorgeous. I'll probably learn to love this one in the fall.

I really like my bag but 1. Know this is not a large bag at all. It is pretty small. I am sure the description says it's size but I made assumptions when it said large. I get compliments and when I tell people it is the large, they are shocked. 2. My strap is already fraying. I have had close to a year now. The bag itself is still looking good, but the strap looks like it belongs on a discounted bag. I know this isn't the most expensive bag out there, but surprised by that. I would recommend, but with these caveats.

We are having to return it due to imperfection with the leather. The texturing was missing on the top corner of the bag.

This handbag is gorgeous, soft leather, beautiful accents. To make it better -- an inside zip pocket and much wider strap. I am worried about the longevity of the strap on this handbag, it is so thin and flimsy (not even 1/2" wide), for a bag that is pretty substantial. Not sure if I would recommend this particular bag . . . we will have to see how it wears.

Good leather but way too small. I was Disappointed in your return process. When you go to return you get an email suggesting other bags instead of a label and it takes a few days to get a label. Then it says that you won't get your refund until they receive the bag and check it and approve your return. Don't know if I would ever buy from you again.

Gold over flap is stiff. Strap looks very cheap.

It could use another zippered pocket inside bcuz its flimsy. I'm using my own LV strap , the strap it came with is very thin, it cuts my shoulder when worn awhile the pocket outside could be deeper and magnetic. If above are added, I'd be happy to buy several as gifts

Because it smells terrible. I have aired it out for a couple of weeks, cleaned it with vinegar and waiting to purchase some baking soda to try to remove the odor. Not even going to try and wear it until the smell goes away.

This leather is so soft. Turns out too soft. Tore after just a few uses.

I cannot tell if it is plastic or leather? It looks cheap to me.

Style: gorgeous. BUT: crossbody strap is under 1/2 inch wide and would not stand "the-test-of-time" as I would use this bag daily. For the $$$, I am returning it as the designers seemed to have decided to save a little money and put in this poor width strap; I would be unhappy to go shopping for a replacement strap, which never matches that well, for a bag that costs a little under $400 (inc. tax). Zappos, though, has the best customer service in the world, and I feel so secure in buying from them as I know I have options. THANK YOU!

I wish I had known it would be such a different structure than my other Hammitt bags. I have used it twice and it is about to go on Postmark or sadly remain at the bottom of my closet. I dearly love my other 2 Hammitt bags (one is this exact bag/style with different leather and NO puff).

My zipper did not hold up. It is broken This bag should also be for minimal usage only. It does not hold more that a few things well. It looks bad if you do.

Not great.

The design of this purse is perfect, until I took it home. Within two weeks the strap was shredding strings everywhere, people even commented on it! I am so sad. I contacted Hammitt and they offered me a small gift certificate for 25% of the cost which made me angry, I just wanted a replacement strap! The purse isn't worth anything without the strap, so I feel like it's my loss. It was a Mother's Day gift so my son is upset but, after spending hours trying to get someone to listen, and having them tell me that "high quality leather sheds (?)" (really?). I thought I'd share with you so you don't make the same mistake as me. I guess your best hope is by chance, you don't get the purse that is subpar standards like I did.

I absolutely fell in love with this style. However, after less than 2 weeks the cell phone compartment looked like I had used the bag for a year. I contacted customer service to discuss and was told that this is a high Maintenance material. The brushed leather should be have been sprayed with their leather spray. Who wants. Bag that is high Maintenance? In less then two weeks the bag looked dirty. I asked to exchange it for a different material and was told no because I used it. Very disappointing. I suggeated they communicate how high the maintenance is for this bag. I woukd never have purchased a bag that requires a protective spray(repeatedly) I work in an office, but this material makes it look like I drag the purse behind me. It's been over a month and despite spraying and cleaning the material is just not holding its original beauty. The shape of bag and size are perfect. Avoid this material at all cost.

I am sad to say I returned this purse. I owned it for less than a week and the straps started fraying. When I contacted the company they said they could not even replace it becuase they were sold out. I decided for the price just to return it. For the $$ the quality should be better.

I bought this bag in a store in California in March. Two months later the leather around the back on the cell phone pocket is separating at the seam. I asked the Hammitt Care team to send a shipping label so I could return the bag for repair. They cannot do that, they offered a $75 gift card. I live in Chicago and cannot return to the brick and mortar store to request a new bag or return it. Their guarantee apparently only covers the hardware on the bag. I own 5 Hammitt bags and two wallets. Will not be buying any additional merchandise from this company.

I purchased the VIP Lrg bag and wallet the bag needs cleaning I reached out to customer care and they told me to send pictures I sent pictures they told me to take it to the cleaners to be cleaned, yet I'm reading reviews stating not to take it to be cleaned it will ruin the bag I just lost and upset at this point
