Hard slippery mat. Very disappointed that the most expensive mat is so unfriendly. Only usable with a towel on top of it.

I absolutely LOVE this yoga mat, I'd been using a cheap one that I had purchased off of amazon and the difference is night and day! It's long and wide enough to support my bigger frame and cushiony enough to not hurt when I'm on all fours! Well worth the money and hopefully the last mat I'll ever have to buy!

Love the color. Very sturdy and supportive. Heavy but worth it. Closed cell makes for easy cleaning out back, wash with soap and hose, let each side dry in sun, takes 20 minutes total (yep, dries that fast). I have no doubt this mat will last a lifetime.

Really nice

This was recommended to me by my yoga instructor who swears by them. Still a bit slick after first few uses but very comfortable thickness. Cant wait to break it in further!

Beautiful colourway, best quality yoga mats. I use Manduka mats over 10 years now and they are still simply the best. I can only recommend them.

It was a b-day gift for our daughter and she loves it!

Still it slides. I have read the reviews so I was aware of breaking it in with sea salt. I did it twice, then I scrabbed it hard with wet salt and finally this slippery cover was gone, but... once I get a little sweaty the moisture gets collected under my hands and feet and doesn't dry out, forming the small nice lakes and sliding as ice. Yes, I am a sweaty person, but I've never had these troubles with Manduka Eco (which has another trouble with it). Apart from this review, the advice to use a towel with this mat sounds ridiculous - I can do this with any 20 euro mat with the same result and this is not what one expects from this "PRO" stuff.

My 1st purchase and Im a huge fan! The mat is has such a high quality feel and its extremely comfortable during my May Pilates classes and strength.

I have to preface this by saying how wonderful and lovely Mandukas customer service has been. I am a yoga teacher and teach predominately in a hot infrared studio. Im generally not a puddles of sweat kinda yogi even in the heat, so I was hopeful this mat would hold up to its reviews. I did the salt method to break it in, twice and let it sit in the sun. If my hands or feet were even the slightest bit damp, I would begin slipping. Anymore than a bit damp, my hands and feet would very swiftly move a good 6 inches (this lead to a pretty unsafe practice). I was surprised at HOW easily I slipped on this mat. I was told that the slip would help activate and engage other muscles, but I do not feel one should be gripping with every ounce of muscle to keep from slipping on the mat (think Patanjalis yoga sutras, balancing effort AND ease). Anyway. I was quite disappointed. I loved the mauve elderberry color, and how the 6mm mat cushioned (yes, it is heavy but I was coming from another heavy mat so I was used to it). I wanted to love it and I wanted it to be my forever mat, but Ill be going back to my original brand of mat to meet my grip expectations. :)

I give this product a 4 out of 5 just due to personal preference, where I think a yoga mat should have a little more "give" with the cushioning. I felt this mat was a bit hard for me, and at this price point for $5 worth of rubber, it needs to be perfect to get 5 stars. I'm fine with the break-in period. It was slippery at first, then did the salt routine and have done multiple HIIT workouts on it with shoes on, concentrating on stepping in the areas in the 1/3 of the mat where hands/feet typically go doing yoga. That has significantly reduced slipping, though it still has a bit more breaking in to do after a week of that. Could still be another couple inches wider to hit the perfection mark as well. I'm 5'8" and to do a wide stance pushup, it leaves me feeling a bit restricted. Overall, solid workout mat, but has room to improve.

Sticks to the floor really well. Love the extra length. Great support for hands and feet during long held poses.

Top surface is very slippery. Its counter productive during class. I curated the mat with salt and now I have salt everywhere. Not worth the money

Very durable, sturdy, good quality mat. You can tell the material is heavy duty. The sage green color is nice. The 6 mm thickness is noticeable and although it does make it heavier/thicker and harder to carry sometimes, it is worth it for the extra support on my knees!

I absolutely love my Mat. it's the perfect size, thickness and support for my practice.

I like so much my new mat, its make me feel sure confortable as every yoga position should be.

Very nice thick mat but slippery. Havent done the salt treatment yet. Been using my grip gel instead. Bought this for the longer length. I prefer my GRP mat ~ lighter and grippier. Infact I love my GRP mat! Wish it came in a longer length vs the standard 71.

My knees are very sensitive and I cannot use regular yoga mats. I'm very happy that this mat allows me to do asanas that I was unable to do before.

I love this mat but it is extremely slippery for hot yoga.
