I was previously using a pretty cheap mat and, the past year, started doing a little yoga most days of the week. I started to have a few issues with my mat: I was slipping and wasn't comfy because of the thinness. A coworker is also a yoga teacher so I reached out and picked her brain - she said the issue wasn't ME it was the mat. She sent me a link to the Manduka mat she uses as a starting point and said to find something similar. I researched online but Manduka was in every list of "Best of" that I ran across so kept coming back. It's much heavier than my cheap mat which has taken a little getting used to but other than that I love it. I love how squishy it is and comfy for my knees and I stick way better on this mat than on my old one. From reading about it, it seems, in time, I'll slip even less. This was a wonderful purchase and worth the price.

Nice and comfortable mat. I have 2 travelmats from manduka, which grip I like more.

The Taj Mahal of the mats. Indeed...just it takes at least 2 weeks not to slip. But it's worth...Best ever mat. I'm convinced.

So far the mat is much more comfortable than my old one, especially on my knees. I do slip a tiny bit, but I trust the process and Im not a sweaty person so it isnt really a problem. My biggest issue is with the color. I got a color fields mat knowing that it would not necessarily look just like the picture. Mine however looks nothing like it and the pink is almost imperceptible which is far from what the picture depicts. It just looks like a purple mat. I honestly wouldnt care if they werent charging more for color fields mats, but it was disappointing. Good mat, dont waste your money on the color fields version.

I like it, even though its very heavy. But it is nice and thick for those who have knee issues. However, the grip is not really what it promises to be. My hands slip every yoga lesson :-/

Everyone in our Mens Stretch and Strength class has Manuka mats and we chipped in to purchase this one for our Trainer! Great grip, padding (6mm) and we look great!

After many years of daily ashtanga yoga practice and teaching thousands of students (with different mats), there is only one left: manduka pro in black. The best mat on the planet. Period.

Just love the thickness of this mat and how well it supports my knees in my yoga practice. Also great hand support for downward dog or crow (and cushion for all body parts should I fall out of crow!). Doesnt slip or stretch out like other thinner mats Ive used. A bit heavy but SO worth it at studio. I use it at home as well. Bought one for my husband.

This is the best yoga I have so far at this moment. I am newbie and the mat support me a lot to stay balance. Love it.

Pleased with prompt shipping and super happy with the quality of the mat. Absolutely no scent when unwrapping it, robust and I'm prepared for it to last the rest of my yoga life.

My Pro Mat was only 4 years old -- I loved it. It was a present from my wife for my RYT 200 cert. in 2019. The mat was everything I hoped it would be, and more. At nearly 4 years old, it was still better than new, and showing no signs of wear. So, when my mat was stolen recently, the only thing to do was replace it with an identical mat -- which I did. I have very confidence my new mat will be as wonderful as my original as soon as it gets worn in a bit.

The Math size and length is perfect , but is slipprey.

The mat is quite nice. It arrived with some production film on the surface that meant my hands slip on the mat. I have been recommended to rub salt into the mat and to clean it with mild shampoo. This has improved but not removed the issue. I expect it will break in and be fine eventually. For a mat this expensive, this should not be necessary

Im a big guy, so the extra length really comes in handy.

This is such a beautiful mat. I wanted to love it, but it was just too heavy. I had to return it. I bought the longer length because Im tall and my body is always touching the floor with regular mats. The length is great on this mat. Color options are beautiful. Feels comfortable. Just too heavy.

Pretty pattern but way way too heavy to carry to class. & I did the whole salt thing but its slippery. I cant concentrate in class because Im worried my back foot is slowly sliding. Returning it & might try the light weight mat

The color is divine and the mat has a perfect size and feel.
