The mat is very slippery for those that sweat. Quality is comparable to mats that are a fraction of the price.

Wish it had a little more width to match up with the extended length. Highly recommend salting the mat contains not slippery. Very high quality mat. Heavy and sturdy. Stable.

My yoga instructor let me try out her Manduka mat when she saw me trying to pad my knees with a towel, and I loved how my joints were cushioned and my sweaty feet and palms didnt slip, so I decided to buy myself one. Mine isnt soft like hers at all. I still have to put a rolled up towel under my knees (which I didnt have to do with hers). Also, I find it very slippery. I understand it gets better with use, but Ive done cross training on mine almost every day for the past two weeks and its not getting better. I just tried the salt trick and I cant say it did anything. For a mat whose key selling points were non-slip and thickness, it failed in both categories. You shouldnt have to use a product for months to finally get it to work how its supposed to.

LOVE the longer/wider style, however I am new to the Manduka family and don't really get the whole salt thing, lol. I travel for work so I just threw the mat in my car and have not been able to investigate the salt situation and why and how this should be done so the mat is very slippery, but I have been told to just put some water on it and wipe it off with my hands and that helps. I've only used it 3 times now and each time it has been in a studio and don't really have the time to get water to sprinkle on the mat prior to class. I love everything about the mat except the slickness of it, almost like there is a film on the mat that needs to be wiped off-maybe this is the reason for the salt soak thingy, lol. IDK. I have got on my friends mat that is also a Manduka and I don't slide at all but hers is a few years old so I guess I just need to be patient

I had the same mat in grey that I bought in 2005/6. Used it regularly until I lost it in 2024. The 6mm mat wore in so well and kept its form all those years, probably did over one thousand hours of yoga. No doubt I was going to replace it with the same except this time in red. I was hoping for a more true red but I am very happy with the color. In all that time the same mat doubled in price after inflation.

Mat is extremely slippery. I have to go through the hassle of salting it to be able to use it. Never had to do that on any of my other mats.

Easy to clean, great thickness, easily rolls out without curled edges. Great product!

I used it for the first time in a hot yoga class. And it became excessively slippery

I've had this mat for about a month now and I really like it. I do hot yoga 3 days a week, every week. The first couple of times I used it, the mat actually was more grippy with a towel on it then without. Now that it has been broken in the grip is good both with or without the towel. It is easy to clean. I did a lot of research before purchasing and it seems like this one holds up the longest, and I'm hoping this mat will go the distance.

I have had 4 eko mats, but I decided to try the pro because I like the width 26" and I like the 6mm thickness. LOVE this mat--I should have chosen it years ago!

I bought this mat in November last year, for whatever reason, it still slips with my sweat feet. I tried with salt, still not good. It's very annoying
