I understand that the mat needs to be broken in but it's so slippy that I can't even use it to break it in. I'm so disappointed with it. I did the salt method to try to break it but it didn't help much and I'm slipping out of basic poses. My hands slip out of downward dog, my feet are slipping out of warrior two, it's completely ruins my practice. I'm going to try continuing the salt method and search other ways to break it in.

I was very disappointed about the grip, in hot yoga and sweating on mat the grip was terrible.

So far so good ! Comfy and stable. You can feel the quality. Being a tall girl I really love the length

This mat was recommended by my teacher, as my previous mat didn't provide appropriate grip and I like to practice almost daily. The mat seems very durable indeed, provides just the right amount of comfort and the grip is excellent. The mat was rather slippery when I first got it. I followed the instructions for 'breaking in' the mat. Perhaps I was too careful as I rinsed off the salt, but my first attempt failed. A really firm scrub on a successive attempt did the trick for me.

I am slipping a lot. I have tried the salt treatment. I am using a yogi toes towel which is helping.

My mat is too slippery and dangerous. I tried salt overnight but it is still not safe for me to practice on. I had been so looking forward to this Yoga mat and am so disappointed.

I was so excited to make this purchase. I like the weight of it, the thickness and the way it grips to the floor. Its a big purchase, but I loved the lifetime guarantee. That being said, doing yoga on this May is like trying to do yoga on a slip n slide. The material makes your hands and feet sweat, literally causing you to slip all over. To have to buy another $100+ product like a yogitoes mat is unbelievable. You must, at the very least, have yoga gloves and yoga socks to use this mat. Really disappointing in that regard. I do like the mat for weight training days.

I had bought this as a gift, but it didnt work out. Too slippery. Not usable for hot yoga class where sweat is involved & had to return.

The color is so cute, way cuter than on the website. As for functionality, I always loved Manduka pro, it lasts forever! Still have my first manduka pro for more than 12 years!

The mat is very slippery. I don t know if because it is new. I hope so.

It's very slick, but starting to "break in", but the biggest thing is dislike is the width. My Jade XW is 28" wide and my new mat puts my knees off the mat in wide leg child's pose. I like that you offer a longer mat. I just wish you offered a wider (other than the "party mat") mat.
