I love my manduka pro mat! I use it for yoga and weight training. It has gotten a really great grip with more use but I didnt do anything other than use it to make that happen. I would buy this mat over and again but between my toddler and cat its holding up really well and I think this will last me a very long time. A really great product and Im glad I purchased it.

The mat is excellent, serving as a replacement for a GRP Series Yoga Mat with which I had issues. Consequently, a CSR at Manduka provided me with a 15% discount on my new mat. However, before the mat's arrival, I received an email offering a 25% discount, leading to my confusion and frustration. I reached out directly to Pamela Levine, the CEO of Manduka, but have yet to receive a response. I'm perplexed as to why this offer wasn't extended during my initial interaction with the CSR.

Yoga teacher here, this has always been my favorite mat. The only reason I'm getting a new one is that I left my old one at a studio a while back. Great mat, neither too thick nor too thin, cozy, not too sticky either. Better the more you use it, somehow. A little heavy, if you prefer a really light mat, is the only thing I guess. I've used a bunch of mats, there are obviously other solid option, but this is my real and eternal fave.

Pro mat 6mm long. The mat is absolutely beautiful. I did the recommended sea salt treatment and upon using it for the first time I was literally sliding. Needless to say I was very disappointed. I had just endured 8 months on a Yoga Strong mat (too short and I never stopped losing my footing) and after a lot of research I decided on a Manduka mat. I couldnt wait until I wasnt slipping on my mat and I was positive the Manduka was going to do that for me. I purchased a towel but would really rather not have to use it. At this point Im going to continue to use it and hopefully with my frequent usage (Im in a class 7 days a week and twice on Tuesdays and Thursdays) it wont take long to break it in and feel safe in my poses.

I been teaching for 30+ years, multiple classes per day. Invest in your practice with a Manduka mat.

Love my new mat. I was concerned about the break-in period that so many people complain about. But after a lot of internet research I decided to go for it with a suggestion on reddit to scrub the mat with a magic eraser instead of doing the salt method. It worked great. I added a bit of pink stuff scouring paste as well. Its still got a little bit of slip, but waaaay better than out of the box, with less mess and less time than I expected. These mats are extremely durable and there arent any scuff marks or anything from the scrubbing. Excited!

Although I liked it in general, it was too slippery for my vinyasa practices. I read it can take about a month of breaking into it but I practice yoga daily so it was a little inconvenient to have a slippery mat. Otherwise it seemed really good

I like it but still find it slippy after doing the salt treatment and using it.

So appreciate your willingness to exchange the mat for my color preference!

Amazing! I love this wonderful, durable, super sticky mat.

Its very heavy which should be noted in the description and although I tried to break it in my hands were slipping the first two times I used it

Solid attractive mat with a decent amount of grip but not aggressively so

I like how soft this mat is on my knees and that the size gives me a lot of room to move on. The mat is very heavy, but luckily I can leave it at my yoga studio. It is very slippery at first. I salted it and have since used it about 3 times, spraying it and wiping it down after each use and it's starting to get a bit more grip.

I have bought a Manduka PRO Yogamat 6mm. As Manduka says on its website: The yoga mat is not suitable for Yoga practise because your hands will get sweaty and you do not have a secure grip. Together with the matress will come an information saying you should treat the mat with salt for 24 hours to break up the surface. If I buy a mat for 130 I expect a mat that I can use without putting a towel on it or processing it with salt what Manduka could easily have done.

I own 5 manduka mats and bought this mat for one of my besties. She loves it! No more putting a towel under her knees.

I wanted a longer mat so I gave this a try. It's a beautiful, solid mat but it was just too slippery. Salt didn't help. Sorry to return it, but thankfully my 20-year-old warhorse Manduka black mat is still running strong.

I purchased this mat, because the floor at my yoga studio is quite hard. I like the thickness and the quality of this mat. Unfortunately, it was much to heavy to carry and be functional. Hence, I returned it. I think the Pro lite is probably a better choice for me.

Love the quality. This matt provides the best cushion for my bones when practicing on hard surfaces! Unbelievably sustainable. I have practiced for 24 years and gone through many yoga matts, too many! This is my second manduka, the only damage on my first one saw was by the teeth of my german shepherd puppy!

This was not the right mat for me. Plenty dense for cushion but not enough grip. And I practice on carpet so the mat slid around too. Plus Ive been waiting more than 4 days to hear back from customer service to just get a return label. What a cumbersome and lengthy return process! Not a great experience.

Im very happy with this purchase! Its really heavy and great quality. I know my bf will love it!

i love how sturdy it is! it definitely is a little bit slippery but after a week of practicing almost everyday it started to get better. im really happy with my purchase and am excited to keep it for life :)
